Walter greeted me as soon as I walked in and came right out to assist. He ran the battery test and confirmed I did need a new one. When he rung me up, I mentioned how the prices had gone up since when I bought one 3 years prior. While he was getting the cart ready to come outside and install the new battery, I called the Auto Zone down the street and found out theirs were almost $11 cheaper. I am all for the bargain so even though Walter was very sweet, I had to go where the bargain was. When I informed Walter I apologized but told him I'd like a refund. So I was thinking, "Dang, they are really going to let me walk out." BUT when he walked me back to the register he said to his co-worker, "We do price matching don't we?" And smiled at me. I was so happy because Walter was so sweet and helpful and I really did want to give them my business because when I called Auto Zone, I was practically being rushed off the phone. I know he was sincere, because he is always very helpful. Although, I was going to spend $400+ ; the bad attitude really killed the sale. So much so, that I spent more at a competitor; who was more accommodating and helpful. If anything, being respectful and courteous really made the difference.
