I was looking for a family owned auto body shop in my community of Golden, and I found exactly what I was looking for. Very friendly and professional people! My car looks amazing, and it was completed on time. What I was most impressed with, was the interior detail they did. Even though it's a industry standard for auto body shops to detail your car, that wasn't their main objective, but they did a better detail service than the once I pay addition service for when I take my car to the dealership. I'm not sure if it's a service they offer but I would almost rather go to them for that service in the future. "Above and beyond" is a term you hear often, but it's rare when you find a company that truly does that. I brought my car in for a side mirror repair today, and I also had some marks on my car from taking a tight turn that I misjudged. I assumed the marks were scratches that would be an additional repair to be done later, so I didn't mention them. When they called to inform me the car was ready (in a very timely manner, I might add) I mentioned the marks and asked if they could take a look, so I could know what I was dealing with. Their response: "We did see those, and it was just a paint transfer so we buffed them out for you." Not only was the non-repair issue music to my ears, but it shows how much they care about their customers. They saw a problem they were not paid to notice, checked it out, realized it was a simple fix, and fixed it for me. I wanted to hug them, but you know - pandemic. It's like having your family fix your car. I will always come back to them, and tell everyone I know about how incredible their sense of community and service is. read more

I'll keep this short because it doesn't take long to say that this is the place you need to take your vehicle to get it fixed, if you want quality work and patient and friendly staff. I had a lot of lines not quite right after a head on collision and when I got this back, every line was in place. Pretty sure the gaps between the lines are better than they were from the factory. I looked it over thoroughly and I couldn't find a single reason to complain. I would say go see Bill specifically, but every person in this shop is worthy of a name drop. Just take your car there. These people seem competent and well meaning...after getting an estimate on 2 pieces of work, one that was an insurance job, another a self pay...my out of pocket was about 2 grand, only 300 from insurance (1000 deductible)...dropped the car off, told about a week to complete the job, and assured I needn't do anything re: State Farm, they handled everything I called today to check on my car, to be done tomorrow, and they hadn't even started the work...why?...because they couldn't get the claim and work approved,,,ok, why not call me when it was clear that they wouldn't be able to complete the work on time, about 5 days ago?...had they done that I would've chosen to forgo State Farm, self pay all of it, and dicker with them after the fact....I'd chosen not to get a rental (included on my policy) because I'd only have to wait a week for my car...why not do the self pay piece to expedite the the time frame?...because they prefer to do the work simultaneously...really just a customer service issue that was botched...call me as soon as you realize you can't deliver on your ETA for completion and we can solve the problem...took the car to another shop, pre-approved by State Farm, for about the same $$ read more

I came in for a quote after I knocked the spoiler off of my car. They quoted me $500. Thankfully I decided to continue my search. Another shop was able to simply replace the screws/clips that hold on the spoiler for free. Skip this shop find someone more honest. read more

I took my CRV in that had the front end vaporized by a careless driver. These guys were absolutely about doing the right thing for me and my case - right from the beginning. My car is back and you cannot tell anything happened - they did that good of a job. Your car insurance company won't tell you about these guys - they work for you - not for the insurance vampires. Nothing but good things to say about the owner, John Thiersch, the manager, Bill Henley, and my overall experience with AutoSport Collision Repair. Repainted and blended the front hood, bumper and fenders from a previous color mismatch on my 06 Porsche 911 Carrera S. Tough match as Cobalt Blue paint with metallic flakes, but they spent tons of time getting the right match and blend. Cost was definitely cheaper than a dealer and quality was on par. Good communication throughout from initial quote, pics during the paint process, and follow up to make sure I was happy with the finished product. Wow, unbelievable experience. I went in and met with the PDR guy at this shop a couple of weeks ago on my S2000 with minor hail damage. The Allstate Insurance adjuster suggested conventional repair and repaint due to some fading on the original paint. Their estimate was about $3,000. The PDR guy said that he thought a combination of PDR and repainting was best solution. He said he thought the adjuster estimate was about half of what it might end up costing. He assured me that I was in good hands and they would take care of my valued car. I left feeling very optimistic. I had to schedule another visit to bring my car in under the lights in their shop for a more comprehensive review. I showed up for this review a couple weeks later, anxious to get the process underway. To my shock, I was told by a woman that I hadn't spoken with before, that there were all kinds of problems with my car and that it would require a rebuild that would cost about $15,000 and take several months to complete. I was stunned! I purchased the car new in 2005. It has had minor PDR twice through Schomp Honda where I purchased the car and it has only about 68,000 total miles on it. It looked great after the last PDR repairs. Apart from unavoidable weather conditions, this car has been pampered. I think this is a very dishonest bait-and-switch approach and I would avoid this shop for any type of repair. I missed work to waste two visits at this shop. To whom ask for reviews on auto sports collision. So with the time I dropped my truck off to now. I got in a wreck January of 2020, I set up to bring the truck into the shop April. But before that I have emails stating in February that I wanted my grill guard powder coated. Which auto sports collision responded and understood and said you would sublet that out. Fast forward to dropping my truck off. I got my quote for everything and I was good to go and the numbers were just right to pay my deductible when finished and be on my way. In the process of all this I called to check on my truck. Bill confirmed that it got PAINTED... which I didn't want at all and made that 100% clear before dropping my truck off. The grill guard even came powder coated... so why would you sandblast something powder coated to paint it?!? He then talked with insurance and fixed it and got it powder coat ordered. In that time. NO ONE called me. NO ONE Reached out to tell me 1. That it would be more 2. That I could have just said never mind and kept my old grill guard. No one person called me. The shop quoted it to be painted when they knew it would have to be powder coated. So if they did everything like they were suppose to right, which I made it clear I wouldn't have to be pulling out money on top of my deductible. So this is my problem now and apparently since the powder coating is more I have to pay out of pocket. Which no one told me until they said my truck might be ready at the end of the day. I also went into the office to talk with the Manager, Bill. He kept stating he didn't do anything wrong, and that the shop did. My insurance adjuster even told me that the shop messed up and quoted it wrong. And if they have done it right, I wouldn't be in this situation. I am writing this to warm future customers that yes, I read the reviews for them and actually trusted them and their work. But now after going through this and seeing how they actually do business is horrible. I wouldn't refer anyone to come here, and that goes for with or with out insurance. read more

So the story starts back in October when some guy decides to rear end me at 35mph while I'm stopped at a red light... Then does the cowardly thing and and commits a hit and run. Needless to say I was pretty agitated. After several months I finally had enough to pay out of pocket since CO insurance won't pay out without a deductible... BS, in my opinion. As I do with any sort of large purchase, and being new to the area, I called several body shops. Autosport met my first requirement of having a live person answer the phone in a courteous manner. At least that's where the headaches stopped. Secondly, the estimator was willing to look at my vehicle within minutes of closing as if it wasn't a big deal. We set the date to drop off my vehicle and everything went well. They even got extra discovered damage dealt with by the insurance. Both bumpers, tailgate, and hitch were replaced a few days earlier than projected. The metallic paint job came out flawless on the tailgate, which I was very worried about since my truck was almost brand new and I have seen many bad repairs with metallic paint that don't match right. The interior clean before pickup was great as well. All in all I was very pleased with the level of professionalism with the office staff, quality of work, and the time to completion and would recommend them to anyone. read more

I took my BMW to Auto Sport after I had an accident with it. The estimator who worked with me was very helpful, answered all my questions, even agreed that I to bring the car to the shop a second time so I can get a more detailed estimate. When I got the car back, the body work was great, the paint job on the replaced parts is so good you can't tell the car was in an accident and had some parts painted. One important thing to highlight here is that I was told the car would be done in 3 weeks, but ended up taking about 4. To me, it was not a big deal because the most important thing to me is that the car looks great after the accident. I am keeping the car for a few more years, so one extra week for high quality work and look is not a problem! read more

So I am embarrassed to admit I'm a frequent flyer at AutoSport Collision, but it's true. I have brought three vehicles here in 9 months. The first time it wasn't my fault, but it's hard to wiggle out of blame when you back your car into your husbands truck in the driveway. At AutoSport the service simply could not be better. It is always disruptive and traumatic to deal with auto repair but the crew at AutoSport makes it all as painless as possible. I drop off a damaged vehicle, they do all the dealings with insurance, call the car rental company, and return a spotless perfectly repaired vehicle in the time they estimate. I completely trust them, they engage the insurance company to make sure the fix is up to spec, and I have never had any issues with their repairs. They even tried to smooth out a dimple my daughter put into one panel while they had the car taken apart (Also not my fault). I recommend them 100%, although I am hoping my luck turns and I don't need their services regain right away. read more

Talked with Pat the owner of autosport and he wouldn't repair work that he did to my vehicle less than 1 year ago. Went to my dealership and they said the work done was not up to factory standards by Honda and that I would have to go to Autosport to have them fix it for faulty repair work or lack of craftsmanship I went Directly to autosport where I have the owner deny they had faulty work and says they will not cover the warranty. This guy is shady as it comes watch out for this business go somewhere you can trust that has quality work.
