Art's did not fix my car. But they were the most knowledgeable, communicative, honest people I've dealt with. My car was rear ended by someone with Fred Loya insurance. Fred Loya is terrible to work with but Art's is used to their games. Art's Auto Body is the only bright spot I've had dealing with my broken car for the last month. My car was recently side-swiped and driver's side mirror ripped off. I was able to find a replacement mirror on eBay, and was looking for someone to take apart my driver side door and install it for me. The first place I called wouldn't install a part sourced by me. The second place I called wanted several hundred dollars, and they made a point to say that if it turned out I got the wrong mirror, they would still charge me the full sum. Then I found Art's Auto Body on Yelp and called them based on the 5-star reviews. The gentleman I spoke with was so nice and offered to get my car in for the repair same-day. Drop-off and pick-up were a breeze (zero wait time). They had my mirror installed good as new within an hour, and the price they charged me felt like a bargain. Worst service ever! My car was in their possession for a month and a half for hail and windshield damage through my insurance. When they told me the pick up date windshield was not done so I took it and when brought back it took another week and on pick up day it was still not complete! Not to mention the gas tank was about 11 miles full which was not the case when dropped off. So unprofessional! read more

Let me start out by stating that I didn't have any work done by Art's, so my rating is not on the quality of their work. I had gotten 2 estimates from 2 auto body shops on a minor body repair and paint. One is a small local shop with a good reputation which gave me the lowest estimate and the other is a national chain which gave me a slightly higher bid. Both estimates took about a half hour in total with both explaining the process to me. I saw the reviews for Art's on yelp and thought I would give them a try based on the overall ratings given by my fellow yelpers. I called Carlos and set up an appointment for an estimate and drove to Denver. It took Carlos all of 2 minutes to shoot out a number which was 50 % higher than the local shops estimate and 30 % higher than the national chain. Based on the higher and hasty estimate given and all of the unfinished autos I saw laying around I would not do business with Art. read more

Okay, so I bumped into a tree stump while backing out of my parking spot, and knocked the front bumper off my car. Stop laughing. It sucked. I crammed the thing into the back seat and took it over to Art's. They took a look at it, and said they'd have to replace the bumper because I had basically ripped it off the frame and there was no place left where it might be screwed back on. So they got a hold of an after market bumper, installed it, and painted it to match the rest of the car. The honest, fast, quality work has been lauded in the other reviews here, and I'm happy to add my voice to the throng. These guys are great. Oh, and by the way. They did a great job fixing my car and even did some touch up work for a very low price. I once had a shop that didn't get the color quite right and I had them redo it. But with these guys, the paint job looked perfect the first time! When I noticed that the plastidip on the bumper got a bit messed up, they fixed it for free, which they really didn't have to do. It is plastidip after all and that gets messed up pretty easily. They went above and beyond to make sure I was happy! I will be back again if I ever need work done on my car. read more

They seem really dis-organized. I arranged via email to bring my car in for repair. We settled on a date in the first week of September. I followed up at the end of august to get an exact date as I didn't hear anything from them. No response. I called them in the first week of September to find out what's going on with my appointment. They don't have it on the books but the guy I talked to took down my information and said he'd call me back asap. No call. I don't recommend these guys if you want anyone to actually work on your car or communicate with you. read more

Beware! This shop is shady and Alvaro is horrible at business. We went in for a quote and they gave one price. After the adjuster came, we asked if they could include popping out a small dent for a certain price ( a few hundred more than the original quote). Alvaro then said the original work would be that exact price. It was $500 more than the original quote! Then, when we went to get our vehicle he said we owed $140 in storage fees when he had never even mentioned anything about a storage fee before and we never signed anything stating we knew about storage fees. He had been completely fine about us keeping our vehicle at his shop to have our USAA adjuster take a look at the car there. No receipt, nothing! We had to pay those storage fees to get our car off of his lot. the only paper document we received was the original quote which he said would stay the same. He only changed the price when he figured out we were given more money off our claim. His shop is the reason my dad says to have insurance pay us directly and not pay the auto body shop. There are honest body shops out there who aren't trying to take you for all they can. By the way his quote was for after market parts. We found a body shop in the same price range who will use all new parts. Beware! Update** we filed a dispute with Master card and they refunded us the $140, and are going to investigate this charge. We also have gone with Premier Collision who are AAA approved, BBB accredited and have countless awards lining their office. Also, much better pricing. read more

Okay, so I REALLY wanted to like this place because of the reviews on here. I really did. But when they quoted us more than double that other places quoted us for some repairs to an older Volvo. Their markup for one used part alone was $187.00. To fix just part of the problem (replacing the hood) was $1500!? Craziness. They were nice, but I'm not gonna get ripped off for somebody's pleasant demeanor. We went to Sergio's Body Shop instead- on the recommendation of our regular mechanic. Oh wow, what a difference! Less than half the price to fix everything, plus paint it?? And in two days? Awesomesauce! I came here 1. because I want to support local shops instead of chains like Abra's and 2. because of the awesome yelp reviews. Let me tell you something, Alvaro is the best guy I've worked with in the auto business. I got bumped by a dude in Boulder; nothing crazy, he just backed into me. I got a quote from my insurance company and took it to Alvaro. No problem, he'd make it work. On top of that, he gave me 30% off my deductible. On top of that, he was super friendly, went through the estimate that the insurance company gave me, explained what he would do, and was upfront with me the whole time. While waiting on the rental company to pick me up, I talked with him for awhile about business and life. He's a legitimately great guy and works hard to please his customers. I called him during the day, he said swing by later on, and he took the time to go over my car with me as soon as I arrived. He then told me if I could leave it that day, they'd get working on it first thing the next morning. Impressive. One week later, the car is finished, looking perfect and squeaky clean. I'm talking wash, wax, AND vacuumed interior. If you're in the unfortunate situation where you need the body of your car repaired, you MUST go here. I brought my wheels here when I lived in Denver. I spoke with Alvaro (owner with his dad) and Josh (painter) who assured me that they could do a beautiful looking job. I was quoted $350 which included 2 colors and clearcoat. And, I got a beautiful looking job; but, upon closer inspection there were huge runs in the clearcoat. Alvaro agreed to fix the runs, but did not get them all, yet doubled the timetable. Six months later the job has proven to be good but not great: I found that the sides and back (which show in some places) were not polished well, as I specified, so that brake dust has become difficult to completely remove. So, here is my opinion in a sentence: If you have a car that costs greater than $30K, or you are a "car guy," this is not the shop for you. read more

I ran that business for 13 years, I wrote estimates and supervised body repair and paint. My father retired two years ago, so now when I get into a fender bender, I have to find a shop! I was very nervous because I know that there is a lot of bad guys out there, especially in that industry. Many of the large shops use cheap labor, guys right out school with zero experience. I can advise to always trust a smaller shop for the best quality work. I knew that Art's always had a great reputation, So I took my wrecked car and my sob story over there on a Saturday morning. The place is kind of hidden, but woth the search for sure. I met Alvaro, who is the owner and the painter, The whole I was looking around for any clues of the quality of repairs the shop would offer. I think he picked up on my vibe and asked if I wanted to see some of his paint work. He showed me his own car, and that was all it took...it was flawless! I asked a ton of questions about the type of repairs that would be done to my vehicle. He wrote and estimate and it was perfectly fair, I agreed with everything he wrote, and I have written hundreds of auto damage estimates! OK SO HERE IS THE BEST PART!!!! I had a $500 deductible, and he said I only had to pay $250!!! wait what's the catch you ask... nothing...he will not skimp on anything, I would get everthing exactly as it is written in my estimate. The discount comes out of his profit. I was told that he amount of damage your car has determines the amount they can knock off your deductible. I picked up my car in record time, and it was flawless...(trust me I checked every detail) I am a very happy girl with my car fixed...and he even vacuumed the inside and washed it for me!. I honestly don't know why you would take your car anywhere else. Really. This is going to be a long review, but it's worth reading. First, I found Art's on Yelp and decided to go there based on the reviews. And they were right. Unannounced, I took my car in and the owner, the inestimable Alvaro Bonilla, greeted me with a smile, immediately dropped what he was doing, and gave me an estimate. Took 5 minutes. I took the estimate to my insurance company, they low-balled the job (as I think is common practice), and Mr. Bonilla didn't even blink. He matched the estimate without a flinch and - GET THIS - he even discounted my deductible by 30%. Thirty percent! I dropped the car off and - poof - two and one-half days later, my car is like new. Beautiful (thanks, Josh the Painter). No problems. No hassles. No upselling. What's more is that Mr. Bonilla waited around for me for almost 2 hours past our agreed time to pick up the car (it was snowing and Denver shut down). And, then, he and his expert painter, Josh, followed me home in my other car. My only complaint is that I wish everyone was as good at what they do as Art's is at auto body repair. I recently got into an accident and needed a good place to get my car fixed. As I am someone who uses Yelp as a service to help lead me in the right direction wherever I go, I decided this would be my best bet here as well. As I drove over to the area, I thought it was going to be out of someone's garage because you drive through a neighborhood to get there. When I pulled up, the owner Alvaro greeted me with a friendly hello and asked what he could do. He went through all the damage with me he could visibly see and explained the process of working with my insurance company and showing me what I could expect. After he inspected the car he quickly wrote me an estimate and told me what I needed to do to work things out with my insurance as well if I decided to choose him. On top of the friendly manor, he told me he would give me 30% off my deductible as a customer appreication thing. Having reviewed Art's on Yelp I am glad that I went with their services. This place is fantastic! After I was rear ended and my car was seriously f'ed up, I got four quotes from body shops around my neighborhood. By far, Art's was the cheapest- they quoted me a full $1,000 less than the auto body place across the street from my house! They said it would be done on Thursday and it took an extra day, so they refunded my rental car charge for Friday. Everyone who works there is super nice and friendly. I wasn't paying attention moving my car in my driveway one morning and ended up scraping my rear bumper (plastic) and a small area on my quarter panel (metal). Being a black car, it was fairly noticeable and I went to several shops in the area for quotes. Everyone said that the labor time to repair and paint the affected area would be over $1000; went to Art's based on reviews here and he was very helpful in describing the repair process to me and doing the work in a timely fashion for a lot less than everyone else. Can I just tell you how incredible of a job these guys do? I took my car in for something idiotic I did, it was a really bad week, we will just leave it at that. I scrapped 3 panels on a dumpster. I went in expecting them to say $3 billion dollars to repair this, because it was just that bad. I got it in and out in 3 working days with $700, and they even detailed it! The repair is impeccable. They matched the paint exactly, the dents are gone, and you can't even tell. This is a great shop. The staff is honest, and they do great work. They will put in the hard work for you so your vehicle looks great, and they wont try to swindle you. I think that's all you can ask for when you're entrusting someone you don't know with your car. Low key operation run by a father/son team. Work was excellent and fairly priced. If I'd gone to a 'chain' body shop they would have taken the standard approach of ordering a the body part from the manufacturer (which they are happy to do if you want it.. I didn't) and replacing it. The cost of JUST the part was $1500. They fixed the car (a 2010 Kia Soul), like new, without ordering the part for a total cost of only $1200. This place is fantastic! I checked it out after reading Diana A's review. I know it was just ONE review, but it was so insightful and trusting that I had to at least give Art's Auto a shot. When I got there I spoke with the owner, Alvaro. He was a really friendly yet seemingly shy guy. I had a small dent on the rear drivers side quarter panel along with some really nasty scratches. The total damage was about 8 inches in diameter, and it was pretty small. For a while I was going to just leave it there, but when the exposed metal started rusting I knew I was in need of some auto body work. I first took my car to Maaco, who quoted me at 500 dollars to fix the dent and scratches - as well as the possibility of losing my H logo from Hyundai. Irritated at the ludicrous quote from Maaco I went to see alvaro. He quoted me at 250 (**I paid 200, he needed to pay a worker that day so he asked me to get him cash and he bumped off 50 bucks**). The major difference between local family owned businesses like Art's Auto and MAACO is how they fix your car. MAACO makes you buy a new rear panel, they put it on the car, re-paint the whole thing, and keep your old part. Art's will take YOUR part and try and salvage it - in my case some light hammering was all that was needed. This saves a lot of money for me, and it's more honest work. I will highly recommend art's auto to anyone I know that is in need of auto body repair. Alvaro was honest, he did a BEAUTIFUL job fixing my car (it looked like nothing ever happened). read more

Take your car to one of the more corporate body shops, then take it here. If you can deal without the pomp and circumstance of the more corporate shops, this is your place. Great price, great work. I took my car there in the evening, called on a whim (was going to tell their voicemail that my car was outside) and they answered. Took a look at my car, which had bumper, hood, and lights damage in front. I told them my budget, asked them to see what they could do. And they did an amazing job for the right price. They work with you if you work with them. The guy needed money up front to go buy parts. I gave him that and what I got in return was a repair job that was above and beyond the budget we discussed with no money added. I had a slightly buckled hood that I could live with. It wasn't on the estimate. But they replaced it anyway because they found an inexpensive part! If you want quality work from a family shop that is in the budget you can negotiate, this is your place. I found Art's on Yelp and decided to go there because of the 20% off deductible deal. I had some scrapes on my driver's door from a flying piece of metal on the highway hitting my car. I called and made an appointment to meet with Art to look at my car. He was able to get me in that week! I was so excited. The reason I dont give 5 starts is because I called Art on Thursday to discuss picking up my car on the following Friday afternoon. I was told that it would be ready no problem. On Friday, I drop off my rental and get dropped off at Art's to pick up my car. I dont see her outside and when I inquired about it I was told that my car was in fact not ready. I was pretty irritated because I made it very clear the previous day that I had somewhere I needed to be Friday evening and if my car wasnt going to be ready I can keep the rental. I was without a car for the extended Memorial Day holiday weekend. Tuesday, I called and Art was apologetic about not calling me on Friday. He promised my car would be ready that afternoon. I received a call a few hours later that my car was indeed ready to be picked up. My car was so shiny and they did such a great job! Cant even tell she was repaired. Thank you! read more

Thank you Art's Auto Body!!! My car (Scion tc) was involved in a hit and run while it was parked outside of my condo and had very significant damage to the hood, grill and side. I had a high deductible on my insurance policy and no uninsured motorist coverage so I was pretty concerned about the cost. Art worked with me and gave me an incredibly reasonable price. He really went above and beyond by painting and blending everything to look brand new. I had an offer for a discount from Yelp for a portion off of my deductible but I decided not to even use it because I knew he was already giving me such a deal for the parts, labor and paint that was required. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I took my car to Art's to get hail damage fixed. They told me it would take 3 weeks. A week later, I called to check on the car. They said it would be another 2 weeks. 2 weeks later, I hadn't heard from them and tried to call for a status update. For 2 days straight, no one answered their telephone. I left countless messages until the mailbox was full. I eventually went over there and was told the boss was out of town - apparently no one answers the phone if the boss is away. The worker told me they submitted a claim to my insurance and were waiting for the adjuster to come out. My insurance then told me that no such paperwork had been submitted. So basically my car had been sitting there for 3 straight weeks and NOTHING had been done. I demanded my car back but they would not release it without the boss there. I had to wait a few more days until the boss's son returned and I could get my car back. The son could not give me any reasonable explanation for why my car had just been sitting there. It likely would have remained there without being worked on if I hadn't persisted. Now, I need to start the full process again with a new place AND I need to pay hundreds of dollars out of pocket for my rental car because I already used up my allotted insurance days wasted at Art's. I have a 13-year old beloved 4Runner that was starting to get some of the cancerous 'bubble rust' that can spell disaster if not attended to. Trouble was, it was in a really tricky spot on the pillar next to the windshield and also partially under the rubber seal around the glass. I also wanted to get my rocker panels repainted from years of boot scuffs, etc, from getting in and out of the vehicle (it's a climb to get in there). I took it in to Art's and met with Alvaro who runs the place. I think it's been mentioned in other reviews, but a note that this is a family-owned business started by a gentleman named Art many years ago and was then purchased by Alvaro's family under the condition that they keep the "Art's Auto Body" name and provide the same stellar service Art and his team did all those years. Alvaro and his team have more than lived up to this request. Alvaro did a good once-over on the truck and spelled out exactly what he would do and the few risks involved--the biggest of which was needing to take out the windshield to fully treat the rust issue. Alvaro was very clear that they would do their absolute best to preserve the glass, but in the event it cracks, he would cover labor to put in a new one and I'd just have to purchase the glass. Seemed fair to me. He also actually talked me out of some paint work I was considering for his shop to complete, advising that the issues were minor enough to be treated with some very light sanding and a paint pen I could get online and have color-matched to the vehicle. Anytime a business talks me out of work I'm asking them to do because they know there's an easier (and cheaper) alternative is a-ok in my book. I had a pretty tight deadline to have the work done since I have days off during the week, but Alvaro and his team got it done within the timeline and it was beautiful work. When I came to pick up the truck, Alvaro told me that not only was that spot I'd pointed out on the pillar rusted, but the entire ring around the windshield was rusted due to what he attributed to a bad windshield repair and seal (I did have the windshield replaced three years ago by one of the big glass companies in town). He went ahead and did all of the extra work for no extra charge and didn't think twice about it. Oh, and yes, Alvaro's team got the existing windshield in and out with no issues, saving me about $250. These folks are truly skilled, not only in their body/paint work, but in their customer service as well. I don't often take the time to write a review but I was so taken aback by the extra efforts made on my behalf that I just had to share it. I went on vacation and was supposed to get my car back upon return however a storm came and knocked out power and they were unable to finish the car.
