Many shops would not even consider an estimate on an older car like this due to a potential inability to find parts. Other shops indicated that it would take 8 weeks or more to schedule repairs. All-Star immediately found the relevant parts and completed the work in a matter of days. I had the car back for only 6 days when another driver crushed the rear bumper while I was stopped at a red light. Once again, All-Star found a new bumper and repaired the car in a matter of days. The quality of their work and their customer service were both outstanding. The body repair and the matching paint job were superb. They communicated clear, realistic expectations and administered all of the billing with the insurance company. This company cares...they really care about their customers. Dent Clinic estimated $400 and one day. They said they could get the debt 80%-90% better. They also said they would touch up my paint- something no other painters dent repair places I contacted were willing to do. They got my car in the shop in 2 weeks and had it fixed by 6:30pm (they stayed late to finish it on that day). The dent looks amazing. You now have to search for the damage. They were friendly, easy to work with, honest and detailed oriented perfectionists - everything you want. Once the parts arrived they called and I dropped the car off. That same week they tell me they didn't receive all the parts which was fine for week one. By week 2 they were able to start painting the front bumper though and still hadn't gotten all the parts. Once the bumper was painted the car sat for about a week while they waited on the last part then they realized they had messed up painting the front bumper. But they were able to get another pretty quick and they got the last part by the middle the week 4. Keep in mind I had to call them to get updates most of the time. They did call me a couple time. So at the start of week 4 they said they would have the car done and ready by Friday. But come Thursday I receive a call saying they lost one of the parts (an under belly panel that isn't small) and would have to order a new one. Which did arrive until Monday of week 5. This is when I called them at about 10am asking for an update. They said they just received the part and would have the car ready. Keep in mind this is the underbelly panel in which I've removed and put back on before and it's take roughly 30 minutes. But come 6 hours later I called them for an update and they said they would be done in 30 minutes. Overall just a really frustrating experience. A lot of false hopes. And this isn't the first time it's happened to me with them. Not great at communicating. Other than that the car came out looking good. It was just a very frustrating situation.

It's a one-hour job at most, with zero prep needed since I already bought the part. I asked the body tech if the schedule was pushed that far out because the job doesn't make them much money, and he basically admitted that's the reason. What he didn't seem to understand is that a simple job like mine could've earned them another 5-star review, which brings in more paying customers and more money in the long run. The shop is located within a neighborhood area in Chatfield and parking might be a little tricky…read morebecause their lot is usually full of customer vehicles. Indiscriminate and plain jane, this is your typical old school body shop. Nothing fancy, no lounge area, but plenty of skilled mechanics with service talent. I highly recommend the shop because they are trustworthy and do excellent work. I discovered them from another service provider who gave accolades for their body repair skills. While this is not their speciality, after picking up my car, we discovered some issues with factory codes. I can't thank Heath enough for troubleshooting the codes and his service on my car. The estimate was pretty spot on, albeit I did have another issue to address to make the repair complete. Pricing is reasonable for definitely the quality work and detail they do. The owner Steve is pretty knowledgeable with a no nonsense approach so you won't get a sales pitch or upselling. Hopefully no other haphazard occurences to frequent them but it's good to know they are around if ever needed. As they say, a broken car is like a broken heart, it takes time and patience to fix it. And you are no mechanic or body shop so bring it in to the guys at Chatfield Auto.
