If I can give this place zero stars I will. I have never wrote a review let alone a bad review but this place sucks. Every since I've let them do work on my car it's been problem after problem. I went for one problem and they have told me it was 2 different things on 2 different days. Each time I paid to get the "problem fix" (that they said was wrong). ¡Engañosos! An entire radiator change for $608!!? My coolant plug was broken so my coolant was leaking. I went in for them to fix it. Jesús called me and said that they were "afraid" to remove the coolant plug because it could be broken and damage the radiator system. They told me I need an entire radiator change! I requested an inspection and they told me what it may cost, they labeled it way over what they said then changed it when I questioned them. they sent me an overall cost and when I asked if that was with the warranty they told me they didn't call and find out because they don't know if it's covered. they didn't even try to find out. I went and got a second opinion when they told me what was wrong with my car only to find that every single thing they said was wrong was not correct. I work long hours and I needed to drop my car off on a Sunday night just so I could have my car be seen, which I appreciated because it worked for my schedule. I needed my brakes/rotors replaced, my battery to be checked/replaced, and for a rattling noise to be checked, plus I decided I wanted my oil to be changed and oil filter replaced. They called me at work and said the brakes and rotors needed to be replaced along with my battery. I asked about the rattling noise and they mentioned that they heard it too but wanted to focus on the brakes and battery. I didn't have a lot of time to talk so I said just get everything done. Later on that day, they called me asking if they could keep my car another day (not sure why since they had all day to work on a simple brake/rotor and battery job). I didn't really have a choice since my work schedule wouldn't allow for me to get my car looked at again anytime soon, so I said sure. The next day my car was ready for pickup and I asked them to allow me to pay over the phone and pick up my car after they had closed and they agreed which I appreciated. However when I looked at the bill I noticed I was not charged for an oil change and there was no window sticker from them recommendeding my next one so I assume they never did it. Also when I started up my car again, there was that same rattling that they decided not to bother with. So I was charged for extra labor for the battery replacement and brakes and rotors but still have the rattling going on which I'll have to have looked at when I get the time to take it in somewhere else. Overall the work they did was good, just wish I would've gotten everything taken care of at the same time for as much as I paid them and for the extra time they had my car. read more

Have used these guys here and there over past decade and continue to enjoy the super friendly service, open and honest communication about what is what, and fair prices on the work offered. I had taken my old late nineties Lexus here in days past and recently my Civic. Both went in for minor issues that were addressed in good order and much better experience and overall attention to my budget then any dealer can come close to. They were quick to call back with updates and keep in touch throughout the stay of my Civic which due to a staff shortage took a day longer than they estimated but only because there was more work showing up as they went over the car then I knew about needing done. Eventually addressing shocks, brakes, hand brake issue, and commenting on my tire sensor pressure warning light being lit which was nice of them to notice; but I use Discount Tire for my wheel needs so no need to bother with that last bit. The screws were rusted and stripped and after trying myself multiple times and having friends try with their tools, I decided to take it in to ask for help. But even though I'm a pretty handy guy, there's not much I can do when it come to repairing my vehicles. So I want it done right, but I can't do it myself. That's why I've been taking my vehicles to Automotive Solutions for years, and I have no intention of stopping any time soon. Over the last couple years, beyond just the routine oil changes, I've had to have a radiator replaced, the airbags addressed, and one of my engines completely rebuilt (I know, bad car luck). And every time I go in there, Antonio helps me feel assured that my cars are in good hands. If there's something wrong, he'll tell me honestly what it is and what it will cost to fix it. If it's something that should get fixed soon but doesn't HAVE to be fixed right away, he'll tell me that too. Their pricing is fair, and their workmanship warranty is excellent (though I've never had to use it..they do it right the first time). At this point, I would have a hard time taking my vehicles to anyone else, because I know that at Automotive Solutions I'll be treated like a customer and not like just another broken car to fix. read more

My car sat in the shop for anywhere from 4 to 6 months without even being touched just recently they got a cylinder head in for my car which is actually a common car cause I drive a Ford fusion they just got a cylinder head and sent it to a machine shop got it back and now they're saying it's gonna take them two weeks to even just get my cylinder head and not only that but I'm being charged two grand for everything. I've been without my car for 4-6 months. My fiancé and I have been struggling to make ends meet with getting back and forth to work and getting our daughters. Do not recommend this shop. Had some minor wiring work done here and they provided excellent service. I mainly interacted with the owner, Jose, and his employee, Frank. They were both courteous, funny, and professional. It's a small shop where they treat you like family. They were very busy but were excellent at keeping everyone updated on their vehicle's status. Despite the number of customers, I was in and out in a timely manner. Their prices were fair and the work was of utmost quality. Their gravel lot was quite muddy but they didn't track any dirt into the vehicle. They left the interior in the same exact condition as when I left it. For the Spanish-speaking population in Lafayette, you will find the staff here is bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish. I know when I take my vehicles to Automotive Solutions that they will find the problem and resolve it quickly and economically for me. Our car was just towed to them after hours one night. I called them 5 minutes after they opened up the next morning to see what information I could give them & they started working on it shortly after. Our car was ready for us by 5:30 that night. They had to replace both front coil springs (because one had broken), both front struts (shocks) and they also replaced the front brake discs and rotors. Plus mounting, balancing a new tire, and performing an alignment. The bill? Approximately 15% to 20% less than what I expected! And my car? It handles better than ever! read more

They did a pretty good job fixing the anti-theft device on my car. However, not only did they forget to put the center console back into place when giving me the keys to drive it home, but in a twist of irony for what they fixed, they stole the change I had in my cup holder! I understand that it's common practice to remove your belongings before taking your car to a shop, and I did, as I removed my emergency roadside kit, socket set, etc., but the change slipped my mind. They would've received a much higher review if they had not done this, as the work was done for a fair price, but I value integrity above all else, and this shop doesn't seem to care about that very much. read more

Had my car repaired in their store and changed to a brand new oil tank. When I got my car checked in another place, the mechanics told me that they didn't give me a brand new oil tank but a used one. So i need to change it again. They are good at giving customers fantastic promises but never fulfill their words. Be cautious if you want to do repairs here. read more

Took my car here because there was oil mixing with the coolant. They had my car for over two weeks (it was supposed to be a 4 day job). After I got my car back i noticed that there seemed to be a small coolant leak. i took it back in a few weeks later when I was sure and they told me there was no issue. Right after they checked it out I took my car to my sisters and white smoke started to billow out of it. The morons did not put my radiator cap back on! A few months later and i still have a leak from somewhere that is getting noticeably larger. So I took my front end off and started looking around. The Radiator is cracked. The same radiator that they told me was not even 6 months old and was in perfect condition. So now I am replacing it myself. It you want to have friendly people they cover that.
