After a rough start Damien did a good job cleaning up my truck and brought to my attention the fact that my paint was most likely still under warranty. As it turns out he was correct and I have submitted a claim. Agreed on a time via email and again confirmed time to drop my vehicle off. The day of the appointment I arrived early, no one showed up at the time my appointment was scheduled. I called and left a voicemail. I left and have heard nothing back form them. Bad business to say the least and very poor customer service. You would think they would want the business during these times. Significantly unimpressed. Rescheduled on us at 8PM the night before because he was "slammed" and claimed he had "nothing on [his] books" the following Friday. Drop car off at 10AM the day he requested even though it was extremely inconvenient for us, called multiple times towards end of day to inquire about when it would be ready and we were put on hold, asked to call back and then ignored. Came right at close to give them the full day to work on the car and the car had not been touched. In fact, it was left in the same parking spot that we had dropped it off in. The worker whom we dropped the key off with claimed that it was the owner's fault the car hadn't been touched despite us dropping our keys off with them 6 hours prior. Well they were busy cleaning a Tesla Model X which goes to show they value "luxury" cars over individuals who are flexible, pay full price and tip well. As a small business owner myself, the way we were treated was less than stellar and would not recommend. Quality of work doesn't outweigh quality of service, they go hand in hand. I recently had my window fixed on my Nissan Altima, due to it being broken into. So I needed to match the tint on my new window to the other three on the car. I shopped around for a place to tint my single window. Soon enough I found Damian at "AutoMax Professional Detailing". Their window tinting prices were very reasonable compared to others that I looked into, to say the least. They put the matching tint on my window in all of maybe 20 to 30 minutes. Victor, the man who put my tint on was very precise & particular about his work, which I can appreciate! A job done with Excellence! Damian even took off an extra $10 for my troubles. Buy your peace of mind and use another shop for detailing. I used automax for full paint correction and ceramic coating. After picking up the truck, it looked clean and shiny from far away but all the swirls marks were still existing. So I talked with the owner and he mentioned that it was his fault, and since it's being a white car I did understand that it needs different lighting angles to inspect it so we agreed to re-do the whole job. He mentioned that he had a full schedule so he would need a week to get it done. At that point, I was ok with it since I want the job to be done and most importantly I did already pay for it. Since Auto max is close to where I live, I would go to see the progress on the truck but unfortunately every time I stop by I find the truck just parked and never touched. I talked with the owner and he mentioned that he was working on it which wasn't true because I can tell the truck didn't move from its spot and him always working on other customers' vehicles. I was being patient and convinced myself that he will work on it. On the day he promised to pick it up, I go there and only %50 of the job was done, so I asked whether I will be able to pick it up or not (after 7days of the truck being with him), and again he mentions that yes I just need a few more hours. I go back after a few hours and again nothing was touched. He mentioned that he was super tired and would need me to bring the truck back after 2 weeks. I wasn't ok with but I agreed to bring it back in 2 weeks; however, It just felt 2 weeks is a lot of waiting since I already paid for the job, so I went back to him and discussed bringing it back in a week, he agreed about that and that he will not have any other cars to work on the day I'm bringing it back. So we did schedule it to be on Thursday and to pick it up by end of Friday. I dropped the truck on Wednesday so he has full of Thursday and Friday to work on it. I go back on Friday too and with no surprises, nothing was done to the truck yet and it was just parked in the shop. At that point I asked for a refund and didn't want the job to be done anymore, he refused to give a full refund claiming that it's not possible since he did some services for me, but he promised that he can finish it in 6 hours. At that point, it was 5 pm so I knew it would not be possible but I still agreed on that. Next thing he text me at 12am that he can give me the truck back in an hour, at that point I agreed to pick it up the next morning since it was super late. When I picked the truck, most of the swirls were removed but there were still some existing and he would still claim it's a white truck so it's hard for him to get rid of them. Time management, honesty, and customer service need a lot of work at this place. It wasn't worth a penny using Automax detailing! read more

I live in Seattle and my sister lived in Vancouver. When she passed away the end of January I made an appointment with Auto Max to pick up her car for a full detail in and out so I could sell it when I went back down to take care of everything. They were even charging me extra because I said it had "a lot of work to do on the interior". Auto Max never showed! No phone call with explanation, nothing. Just didn't show. I can't imagine running a business were you just ignore your commitments, and on top of it, offer no explanation. In noticing other reviews it seems to be Auto Max's m.o. to treat people this way. First time customer: Hubby is happy with his interior/exterior car detail gift I surprised him with, so that makes me-wifey happy with the "job" itself (and he's picky about "cleanliness of cars" if that says anything). About the job: I thought I was getting a better deal $ (based on our verbal conversation before I brought the car in) which is why I picked this business to do the detail, instead of others in town. We had been "gifted" a car that sat through too many winters (it was mossy, moldy & not taken care of well) and really needed the TLC--otherwise we would have done the TLC ourselves--it was honestly a big job to do. One of those "worth the money to pay someone else to do it" type of jobs. There was some misunderstanding with the owner and I ended up paying more than I was anticipating. I had seen a 20% off deal for first timers and he agreed to it verbally on the phone. When I went to pick up the finished car, that's when he told me he didn't even have a 20% off deal running, that I had somehow "mis-read the deal and it was only $20 off." I felt a bit mis-led based on our previous phone convo. (Or, maybe he didn't want to give the discount since it was a lot of work, so he made up some reason not to. Either way, he made me feel like I was being gaslighted--which I didn't appreciate.) So, I was disappointed when I left with the car (not how I imagined I would feel as the car was amazingly better looking & smelling). As far as the auto detail clean is concerned, he did a great job on the car itself, and for that, he would get a basic recommendation from me for actual work performance. Expect to wait around on him, though. I had to wait on him for 15 minutes to show up so I could give him the key to my car, which meant my ride also had to wait 15 minutes (his business hours were "open"), I had to wait 45 minutes for him to finish detailing my car (he took longer to finish than he said it would), and when he didn't put my child's car seat back in my car, I had to come back the next day and wait on him again to show up at the shop (we originally agreed he could leave it outside so I could just pick it up easily & w/o having to wait on him, but when he didn't do what we agreed, I had to call him and ask him to get it for me--he said he'd be there in 5 minutes but it took him 15). I'm sure it's hard running your own business, but that's a lil' too much waiting to impress a first time customer. Maybe he's just bad with time, idk. Based on my personal experience, he could improve his communication with his customers, as well as honor his word better. He said he threw in the extra mold treatment for "free." I ended up paying the full price for the detail and didn't get the 20% off that I had come there for. I was also asked to write my honest review on yelp to get my "free" mold treatment & supposed "first-time customer discount" (still paid full price though--not sure how this was a discount). So, here is my honest review. Overall: You'll get a great & thorough auto detail, the customer service, honesty & communication is just so-so/sub-par (he seems charming--so he has that going for him), but expect to wait around a bit--you're on his time. read more

I'm as critical as it gets when having my cars detailed... I expect the best and most fall short. I'm the guy who has his ride detailed all day only to spend 20 minutes cleaning up oversights, regardless of what I pay. I am not easy to please! So another new shop here I come... I dropped my car off first thing in the morning and 8 hours later I didn't recognize it! Scratches were all gone and the paint looked wet. Everything was clean and spotless and I was very pleased. The paint felt like glass, and overall I am very happy. I had the complete detail package VIP(?) and will definitely be back again. Also, they have plenty of room in their large open shop, you vehicle is not crammed back into some stall with hardly any room. These guy have a large shop with 20'+ ceilings and ample room for FULL SIZE motor homes, and then some! They also have other service including windows tint which I will be back for! Do not book here. I had a detailing scheduled for two weeks and the night before, they called me and asked to reschedule. I agreed to reschedule for the following week. I drop my car off at 10 AM and go to pick it up when they close, and it has not even been touched. Had an appointment to detail my vehicle I was going to be selling. Prior to the appointment I was able to sell my vehicle and bought a different one that could use a good cleaning. I kept my appointment with Damien and had my car detailed. The results were fantastic.
