I didn't know their history (over 70 years in business), but once I started to tell people who was doing my repairs, I heard a lot of "Oh yeah, that is the only shop we use!". Dave Van Linn was wonderful to work with! He was honest, up front, and actually gave me the time I needed to get the money put together to repair my vehicle. Once done, he also told me some of the things he recommended I do for the vehicle. I never once felt pressured to do anything and Dave said he felt that my truck was worth fixing. I can't thank Van Linn's enough and they will be the only shop that touches my truck or any other vehicle I own. A grateful client!

No problems what so ever with the transaction. They looked at the car the next day and determined that is was the CV joint. Was fixed one day later due to no parts in stock. I would have given them 5 stars but I felt the towing charge was a bit much. $75 to go 4 blocks? If I would have known I would have pushed it.... While the car was in the shop we got the oil changed as well. Very reasonable price for the oil change. We will most likely be back again and I would recommend Pete's to others looking for service.

I approved a $200 repair. When I showed up to pay, I was blindsided with an additional $215 charge for a part that supposedly broke during the repair, no phone call, no heads-up, just a surprise at the register. I have no idea if it broke on its own or was damaged in the process, and that ambiguity is the problem. A shop with integrity calls you the moment something unexpected happens. I won't be back.
