I had been told by others it was shot and needed a new one. At N.E.W. Transmission they said nope we can fix that! I was so impressed by the friendly and honest service (not to mention good work!) that they always remained in my mind the only place worth going to to fix a transmission issue. Years later, I now took it back for some shifting issues and he checked the fluid, and reset codes, test drove and sent me on my way without even a bill! I was told to drive around for a week and call to see how its working. How much better can you get?

I couldn't have been in better hands. Why THIS Transmission shop isn't more busy than 'others' in Manitowoc is a shame. A complete trany rebuild will cost ~~$2000 vs ~$3000 'elsewhere' and that is perfectly reasonable nationwide! The fact that I didn't NEED a rebuild came as a pleasant surprise as another 'place' said I likely did. I got the clear and obvious problem fixed, (found the problem immediately) a trany tune up with pan and adjustment AND a new RADIATOR (it had been leaking for a couple of years) all for ~$1000! Worth every penny! For folks in Manitowoc and areas south, go here for an honest, fair and excellent transmission service. Blessings!

I am located two hours from Day Auto, but I am so glad I trusted my gut and decided to make the 2+ hour trip out there. This may be long (I apologize), but I have had an experience worth sharing. I found the listing for the vehicle I was interested in on Craigslist, and immediately called Amy to inquire about the vehicle. She was incredibly helpful on the phone and provided all of the information she had, and was honest with me when she didn't know the answer. She discussed the history of the vehicle, how long they had it, and even opened the shop special hours just so I could make the commute out there to look at the vehicle. There was absolutely no pressure and she was incredibly respectful towards us. After taking the vehicle on a test-drive and checking it out we decided to move forward with the purchase. It was then that we went back to the shop and were able to meet Jon. He was extremely personable, honest and helpful, and he even switched out a bulb that we had mentioned was burned out. I left feeling happy about my purchase, and confident in the vehicle. Where Jon and Amy truly showcased their commitment to customer service however, was after I got home with the vehicle. A small issue had presented, and I sent Amy a message explaining what happened. She immediately called me, and within hours, she and Jon were in my area looking at the vehicle and addressing my concerns. I was absolutely blown away by their dedication to their customers, and their follow-through on standing behind the products they sell. They have earned a customer who will certainly return, and they have been given tremendous word of mouth at the college campus I work on. Jon and Amy showcase the values of a shop from back in the day where people were in the business because they care - not because they want to get rich. I may live two plus hours away, but I will absolutely be back to purchase our next family vehicle. As other reviewers have said - I would urge anyone to make the drive out to see what they have. Buying used is always a risk, but with Jon and Amy, you have the guarantee that they stand behind what they sell. Thank you again for the tremendous service you have provided to me.
