I had pulled into the lot late in the evening as the owner was leaving, my bumper was hanging off. With no questions asked, he dropped everything to help and got it all fixed up right away! The repairs could have been costly but he helped me get back on the road and wouldn't accept any tip. The community is lucky to have a business like this! read more

Dear Yelpers: Sit down and take a minute to read this: this is a true story. I had a nail in my tire this morning and didn't want to take any chances with it so I started calling around Manitowoc to see who could get me in ASAP. Are you sitting down? I called eight different service centers!! now I understand it was a Friday at 1 o'clock, but I called eight different service centers in Manitowoc and all of them could not fit me in ! even my local regular shop said I could drop it off and come back for it a few hours later in the day but I had errands to run and things to do and I needed the car fixed immediately. my father said "did you try Novak?" He gave me the number and I dialed it right up. I spoke with a friendly agent, I told her my story and I said "do you think I can get into your shop right now?" and she said "absolutely come on down." I was quite excited . I drove over - they pulled the nail out. It was nothing serious. It wasn't leaking any air and my $charge$ was zero for 10 minutes of work. Maybe it was 5 minutes of work. For that reason , I will be coming back for future service. I might be easy to impress, but after this experience, i'll give them another try! read more

Arrived from Chicago at 3:00 on Friday with our car shaking the last 20 miles in. Happened upon their advertising in a local pamphlet. Called at 3:30 pm and Abby said if we get it in by 4:30 we'd be good. Got there and Doug said he could make no promises but that he'd take a look. We were wondering what the heck we'd do with no car for the weekend. Doug took a look and assured us we'd be fine in a half hours time! He had someone bring the parts over and steered us to a coffee shop down the street for the wait if we chose to. Great coffee btw! Sure enough, the car was waiting and ready for us!! Novak's saved the weekend for us!!! Sure wish he had a shop down in Joliet! read more

I've had nothing but wonderful service from Novak's. Abby is super friendly and professional at the front desk and I really appreciate the follow up text to see how my car is running after they service it. They even text me to remind me when an oil change is needed. I switched over because of their wonderful customer service and great service to my car. read more

Most excellent service and honest too! We called from the road and Jeremiah got us right in on a very very busy morning! A mere tire rotation solved our problem at an unbelievably low cost. He could have easily bamboozled us but was so kind! I appreciate the great service and honesty! Thank you!! read more

Friendly people..Oil changed & fluids checked..(Fast). Answered my questions i had on up coming service.

Everyone knows how hard it can be to find a competent and honest auto mechanic. Novak's fits the bill. From replacing brake lines on my pick-up to putting a new starter in my wife's Civic. We have them do our oil changes; and we buy our tires there. One thing that I like is that the bill is usually lower than the estimate. One example...my wife's car wouldn't start. We thought the battery was dead. A young fellow from Novak's drove to our house to start the car. Even with a jump, the car wouldn't start. There was no charge for this visit. Off to the shop to discover the starter had failed. Novak's put in a new starter; and the bill was $50 lower than the estimate. We both like the older gentleman who mans the front desk. He flirts with my wife. Calls her my daughter. Cracks us all up! I like their work and I trust them to do what is the right thing. I highly recommend Novak's for their skill and honesty. read more

I took my truck to get it looked at, Turned out to be a Frozen gas line due to bad gas! Then I needed a Lower Ball Joint changed and bearings, Because it apparently was unsafe to drive ??? I was Charged over $800.00 for this!! Then I had a Computer go out and ended up getting Charged another $225.00!!!! In total within a week I was Charge nearly $1300.00 for a few minor repairs?? Of which I don't understand why I was so over Charged!!!! I've since been to a Different Garage of Whom I Trust! They Actually Take the time to take your Vehicle for a test drive and talk to you about what's going on. And make sure to find you the best deals they can to help save you some Money on Repairs. Nope I'll Never go to Novak's again, They over charge!! read more

I brought my truck in to have it looked at so I could get an idea of what was wrong with it, well...they kept it all day even though I was told they would look at it at 9:00 am. I was told the following: 1. transfer case needed to be replaced as it was leaking. 2. rust on rotors was rubbing on the break dust shield and that the rotors (I believe) needed replacing...I'm gonna say he told me I needed new breaks too as I understood it. 3. I have loose parts on the front end (who says that) 4. needed wheel alignment cost 1200.00 + ok so here is the scoop. I took it to Certified Auto (Thanks Rich for looking into it for me) it turns out here was the problem. 1. bend break dust plate to resolve issue (no charge) 2. needs Catalytic Converter (advice was to replace complete exhaust system) 3. power steering pump is leaking 4. nothing wrong with transfer case it was the power steering fluid that was leaking above. Not mad at Novak's but don't understand how they could be so wrong on this...this is why I always get a second or third opinion. read more

Jeremiah and his crew is the best. He has come to my place to pick up my vehicle because I was working. He has come to my place to change a tire because I had a flat and was at work. Everyone one there is honest and caring. No car issue is too big or to small at Novak's. I am very happy to see them growing and adding on to their garage. A+++ all the way. read more

New to manitowoc, and had a car in desperate need of brake pads. They was very courteous about getting the car in and offered an excellent price, much better than any competitors. They even took time to show me exactly what needed replacing. 10/10 would recommend! read more

Had the pleasure of dealing with this company. Great service, driver was courteous, prompt, timely. If I'm in a bind, will definitely call this company again. Only driver who would come out and get my vehicle, called maybe 8-9 companies all to busy, didn't have the time of day. These guys were busy but still managed to fit me in. 10/10 would call again. read more
