I decided to give Country Auto the tasks of servicing my vehicles, both of which have very high…read moremiles, after continuing to have had major issues with other local establishments; including Rhine Auto, (poor mechanics, lack attention to detail) leaving my wife and kids with twisted brake lines, traveling on local HWY with no brakes, unnecessary costly repairs that don't resolve issues only to properly diagnose issues $$$ later, oil filters improperly installed leaking oil all over my driveway, thank goodness I lived a mile from there shop. Never again. Import minded (inexperienced mechanics) forgot the o ring on a Dual clutch Transmission oil filter change causing significant damage to my newer VW after oil leaked all over, Never accepting any responsibility. Wolf Cycle, significantly over filled oil (caused oil pump sensor to trigger code). Sheboygan Dodge Chrysler asking 8,000 in repairs, which I passed on one of which was an oil pump, 75,000 miles later no issues. Mike Burkhart Ford, overpriced, use cheap parts that failed, then not realizing they did the repairs (under warranty) tried to bill me again. 2,000-dollar brake and rotor job with inferior parts. They don't, complete proper inspections, sending vehicles out unsafe. this happened twice, radiator coolant after servicing, leaving my wife on long road trip with high engine temps. My F 150 was in a serious accident and was sent to them by my insurance for significant repairs, they missed serious repairs needing further repairs which resulted in multiple visits. It's now *****Town and Country's turn. So far, I give them a solid 4.7 Jake is a personable business owner and reliable mechanic who is straight forward and seems to have his hands on the wrench for most jobs. his shop is not huge, a few stalls, but seems to service a high number of vehicles as you can see them lined up in his easily accessible lot. He has performed serious tasks on my high mileage vehicles without any issues so far. He is thorough taking time to explain things to you, has offered free advice over the phone saving me time and money. He has never taken advantage of pushing unnecessary repairs and even talked me out of repairs. Uses quality parts he can stand behind. His hourly rate is reasonable, and the repair costs are hundreds to thousands less than your dealer. He has a nice dog to boot. offers competitive tires prices as well. why the 4.7, well it would be 5 plus if it wasn't for location and time of service and availability. He is busy but gives you his full attention and time, always calls you back and keeps communication flowing.

Greetings all. Let me start by saying I have purchased 2 vehicles from Van Horn. I found the…read moresalesman to be helpful an genuine in their negotiation to work within their limits to make sure you're leaving with the car within your desire and affordability. When I purchased my 2nd vehicle a part of the deal was a program called "Tires for Life" with this guarantee I also purchased the bells and whistles of maintenance. I actually use to boast about Van Horn to all that would listen about the promised deal negotiated between us. So for years anytime I needed a scheduled maintenance, repair or a replacement part.. even a factory recall, I drove the 40 minutes to their automotive maintenance for the service necessary. I got to know the crew enjoy the employees personally and trusted their work. Only one time in five years was I forced to receive maintenance somewhere else in the middle of a road trip. After 5 years when my tires needed replacing I approached VanHorn about the "Tires for life" program that I was a part of. The head mechanic I got to know and trust was no longer there, so I was forced to deal with management. I was soon confronted with a much younger ( arrogant beyond his years) manager who suggested I needed some kind of book that was needed to be signed every time I went in for service. I was never offered this book or was informed by the mechanics over the years suggesting they sign off on said book. in fact all the time I mentioned the promised tires for life I was promised that I remain in good standing. I had been lied to. VanHorn shamefully wasn't true to their word and showed no honor while denying me an unkept promise. This promotion was the deal maker... and unfortunately is now the deal breaker. I nor the rest of my family will step foot in a VanHorn show room or garage again. As well, I preach out to anyone and everyone who is searching for a vehicle to avoid this dealer. Being blatantly lied to for years, the set up for the rudeness to follow will not be forgotten for at least a generation. Avoid this lot.

Great place to buy lemon cars.. If you're looking for reliable this is not a good dealer. Not to…read moremention if you go there for service expect waiting WEEKS for a simple fix.
