Had a very expensive job done here and the initial problem continued and/or a replacement part failed quickly. I was frustrated given the cost, my car's lower mileage and the part failing early, and Jeff's immediate "designed to fail/must be something else" speech when I called to explain my car still wasn't fixed. He didn't acknowledge the warranty on the work and was quite dismissive. Worried I might have to take some protective measures, I got a second and third opinion before calling back to arrange having them look at the car again or request any reimbursement for the prior work, at which time I got Andy instead. Andy immediately apologized and reassured me if it was their oversight, they would take care of me, and they did. Got me back in, took tons of pictures and videos of the process to show me what specifically was going on, which was a coolant leak from a part they had replaced. Fixed it up (for good, I hope), reassured me that some of the other work Jeff previously mentioned wasn't really critical at this stage, and sent me on my way no additional fees. As a woman who doesn't know much about car mechanics, I really appreciated their approach and thoroughness during my second visit. Jeff felt very dismissive/upselling initially, whereas Andy seemed focused on consumer confidence and helping me better understand what was happening to my car. Really respect the integrity and correction of a mistake without any other hassle or fees, and ultimately left feeling respected and treated well, which are things I value more than flawless repairs every time. I wish I had read the reviews before I took my car into them. I brought the diagnostic paperwork from OReilly indicating the engine light reading. Was told, by the owner there, I hate when OReilly tell someone what's wrong with their car, they are not mechanics, they only sell auto parts". However, Autobahn shop does exactly what was quoted from OReily to my car (on Monday) charging me more than what was quoted over the phone and by Saturday my engine light came back on. On Sunday took my car to a different OReilly shop and was given the same reading as before. So on Monday (exactly one week after Autobahn serviced my car) I took my car back to Autobahn and they want more money, indicating I need all the test because it could be this or that. No! They tried to say when I got my previous oil change at another location the wrong fluids could have be added. No, because AutoBahn just completed my 60,000 mile maintenance (charged more than was quote) in Aug of this year In which they changed all my fluids at that time. I agree, liars and cheaters. I'm waiting on a response from the Attorney General's Office because my car still is not fixed and is running worse than it was before I took it to them! I wish I could give "zero" stars. I called Autobahn Specialists after a long standing issue with a "certified" pre-owned 2013 Passat TDI I own that was diagnosed with a worn out duel mass flywheel by another service provider. Andy was happy to help and had a detailed estimate that was extremely reasonable to me in less than 24 hours. My Passat is tight like a tiger now and is fun to drive again with no wood chipper noise. Seeing a MK5 R32 out front when I pulled up with lots of other daily driven enthusiast vehicles was all I needed to see. Through, honest, fair, and all that other good stuff. The best auto service and mechanic experience I have ever had. No joke. I was considering buying a Porsche from a dealer on South Tacoma Way. I needed to know the car was sound or a money pit. I called Andy asking for help and he started out warning me how expensive a bad Porsche can be and right away warned me against buying one. I received a "PPI" from the dealer that basically said, "the car is perfect". I took it to Andy and he performed a full PPI, including a engine bore scoping. His verdict was that the car was legit, but was definitely not what the dealer was trying to represent in their PPI. He performed service on the car to fix some things that needed fixing and was exceedingly generous in working with the dealer to make it easy for me. After the service, we had some gremlins with the TPM sensor, and Andy was communicative, helpful, and generous at every step in helping me get it all fixed. Its rare that you find a mechanic that you not only trust, but seems to give a crap about you and your car. Andy is a trustworthy Porsche mechanic and no doubt adept at whatever car you have. The condition it is in and things that need to be done in the future. He never over sold like they do at the dealerships. He just explained this vehicle and made suggestions for the future service plans. Comparing dealer prices for services he suggested was shocking. I've waited a few months to write this review because I'm always hesitant to give a business, especially a small business, a bad review. I truly am disappointed at the quality and customer service I received. I called and got my car in for a regular service appointment on Oct 2019. When I made the appointment, I made it very clear that all fluids will be topped off, and I specifically mentioned Ad-Blue, since I have a very long work commute and that gets used up quick. I was told it would be at the phone call and also when I dropped off the car when i reminded them again. The reason for the reminders, is because my time is extremely limited on weekdays and it's important it's done right the first time. The oil change visit cost a little over $330 for a 2014 audi q5. A few days after the car was returned to me, the service light was on again (they forgot to reset it) and the adblue light was signalling me to refill. I had my husband take it back since I didn't have time. He called and they told him to come at a specific time. When he came during that requested time, they said everyone is on lunch and can't help him. This is something that would take no more than a few minutes on a mistake THEY did. He had to schedule back and this time I brought the car. They insisted they topped off fluids so when I questioned why the Ad-blue indicator turned on just shortly after the visit, they came back with a diagnostic that my "sensor was faulty." They said they would top it off as much as they can and said they "could only have room for a very small amount of the bottle." I'm thinking they did this because they initially wanted to charge me for adding something it was supposed to be done the first time, when they decided eventually not to push back on that, they "could only fit a small amount". The owner said he would send my husband the quote to fix the sensor. Why my husband is assumed the only decision maker, I don't know. So a week goes by, of course the sensor light show I was low on Adblue. This time my husband made sure to top it off himself. It has lasted me 5 months of long commute with no "faulty sensor alerts." This is a mistake I actually caught because I know how my commute affects my car, so imagine if there were things done or not done after your service that you aren't looking or checking after? It's difficult to find an auto shop that's trustworthy. These guys showed me they're sloppy and deceitful. They prey on people they assume know little about cars and have luxury cars -- therefore can pay their overpriced negligent service. (Just read other people's reviews). If you value your time, money, and car, please pick a different place. read more

I was charged close to $300.00 for a diagnostic and updates which most places do the diagnostic for free or relatively small fee. Then quoted close to $2000.00 for repairs that I later found out was a ridiculous amount. I will not go there. read more

Update: I had my car repaired at another shop. They told me (this was totally unsolicited) that my suspension was PERFECT. Apparently this year/model has a problem with the suspension, but mine was in amazing order, so much so that the mechanic commented on it.... Never ever take you car here!!!! I took my Saab 900 here and he basically made the car worse then when we took it in. When asked about the problems he came up with many excuses. Had to replace two front tires, because he misaligned the front so terribly. The steering wheel was crooked, asked about this but he had no answer. Also was to do a major service which typically includes transmission fluid change, yet when went to the new was discovered the transmission fluid was very dirty. Also the timing was off, which should have been corrected with a major service. This shop is the worst ever, don't trust any work they perform, and even worse what the say they perform charge you for but don't do. read more

Wow, some bad experiences on here... Mine would be right there with them, but Autobahn went above and beyond to resolve the issues that arose with my Saab. I am a Saab enthusiast, and have owned a few of these fine Swedish autos... I used to take my '01 Saab Viggen to the local Cadillac dealership (Used to be Saab...) in Fife for all of my services, but after another terrible experience, (I'll save this for another review) of getting dicked around by the local monopoly, I decided to find a new shop to bring the Viggen to. On a Saab forum, I found that Autobahn Specialists used to be affiliated with the Swedish Connection down on Pacific and they had some good reviews. That was good enough for me, so I called in and spoke to Jeff, (the owner). I told him that my front struts were shot and needed to be replaced, he was very friendly and offered to give me a discount since it would be my first time in. I brought my Saab in they confirmed that the struts were toast, and the rear ones were going out as well, so I decided to upgrade the front ones to the Bilstein HD struts over the OE ones, overall the price was pretty good with the discount. I picked my car up everything was great, and I was on my way... Or so I thought... Apparently the only strut mounts available for the Viggen had some production issues because I went through 2 sets of them in a few hundred miles! Jeff was very apologetic and because of the inconvenience and annoyance wanted to make it right. Since my rear struts weren't too long for this world, he offered to pay for the labor to replace them if I paid for the parts, and threw in a full oil change/service! I am hoping that these mounts have a little more longevity, and even though the issues were out of their control, they went out of their way to ensure I was satisfied. I would definitely recommend Autobahn Specialists to any members of the Saab community that are sick of dealing with the local "Stealership". read more

Gosh I wish there were a negative star review! What a LIAR the owner Jeff is. I brought my car in with different things wrong with it and was given a very high estimate that I questioned right away. He is quick to bash the dealerships, but after his very expensive estimate was completed, I brought my car into the dealership and for the EXACT same problems, the dealership charged me $1347.00 LESS than this pathological liar quoted me. He is hurting bad for business so when he gets a car in there, he is going to nickle and dime you to death and make up more things that needs to be replaced than there really is wrong with the car. I will be doing this review in as many places as possible, he is a thief and a LIAR to the core and everyone needs to know this. Best part about owning a Saab is Autobahn. I'm quite surprised at the other reviews here, and felt the need to leave one about my experience. I've owned a used Saab 900 for about 5 years, and although I've moved nearly 40 miles from Autobahn, I still make the trek to get my car repaired there. We switched after having another "foreign car expert" give us wrong info and mess up our transmission trying to replace the clutch. Autobahn not only fixed that problem, they gave us an honest (and free) opinion on our car and what we could expect to need to repair in the future. They've helped us make good decisions even when it meant they were losing business. Don't listen to other mechanics that claim to specialize in German cars, these guys really do. Not only do they have the right equipment to fix Saab problems, they have enough experience to figure it out without billing hours of useless labor. read more

Wouldn't recommend this shop even to my enemies! My story: Scheduled an 8am diagnostics appointment that takes about an hour. They open at 8, so I figured I'd hang out for the diagnostics since I SHOULD'VE been one of the first customers. I park, filled out the paperwork, and was told the owner would be here in a few minutes. I wait 20 more minutes without being helped, then confront the mechanic about his previous statement. He calls his boss and comes back with some excuse as to why they don't believe in valuing their customers time. We exchange words. I leave. The owner calls me 15 minutes later when he finally gets to the shop (45 minutes late). He proceeds to BS that even though you make an appointment, we have the power to look at it whenever we feel like it. He rattles off his resume and snubs me instead of trying to help the situation and hangs up. Save yourself time, money, and stress by going elsewhere. read more

Brought my BMW there 3 times and the problem was never fixed. And every time I brought it there, there was always a "mystery code" that mysteriously came up every time. I'm sure the amount of money I put into them fixing it could have been cut in half if they could have diagnosed and fixed what the actual original code was for..... Never again.... read more

I should have read the reviews before I went there. I made a long drive for several very spendy repairs. Courteous, kind when I was spending alot of cash (I do mean alot) but when I needed a small repair I was blown off completely. I won't go back. If a shop can take my big repairs but not find 30 minutes for me then I will not use them again. After reading the reviews I just hope the repairs were done well. read more

I am an E46 Enthusiast. im a member of almost every board/forum for BMWs and i promise you will not be satisfied if you take your vehicle here. my story: worst service i have ever dealt with in my life. these ppl arent autobahn specialist. they are the biggest bullshitters ive ever came across. i took my car in on june 10th and it is now the 28th and i still dont have my car back. they told me it was going to be done on the 24th. i went in to their shop to see what they had completed. they ordered the wrong grills and still had not ordered my head light (when they said it would be done when i came in) i go back friday because they said it should be done by friday afternoon (i asked the dude a week before to please have this done because my car was entered into a car show) still wasnt done. he said they needed a new headlight (how long does it take to make a phone call for a headlight, they;ve had the car for 2 weeks and havent ordered it yet. monday rolls around (yesterday) i call and talk to michelle, she says they sent the wrong grills twice!! how does that happen?! BS if you tell me. she then tells me they are waiting for it and it should be done today. so i call today before im off and talk to jeff. he tells me he is NOW waiting for the headlight to come in and it should be done tomorrow! SERIOUSLY do these guys not have a schedule for maintenance? do they not know how to get work done in a timely manor? telling me bullcrap about one part when they havent even finished another. ive never had a car shop NOT keep me in the loop about my car and/or straight up lie to me about the situation on my car. i rather take my car to ROLFs Import Auto than this place any day. if i could give them 0 stars i would, thats how irate i am about my car. read more

Do Not Take Your Car to this business Autobahn Specialist. This was a Very Bad experience. My car was not fixed correctly, and in some areas not at all. I was charged for parts that were not needed. My Mercedes left worst than when I took it in to be repaired. I needed a simple repair that did not happen. They do not tell the truth about anything that you question them about concerning the repairs. I am having repairs done and finding out about all the lies, WOW!. Please take heed to the reviews that are before you, if not you will be without your money and a working car. I took my car back and forth from February to May 2015 I tried to make them fix what I paid for, it didn't happen and I only did that because of money he charged (over $2200) me.
