I needed an oil change and had my 3 and 5 year old boys with me. I went to Auto Aid with a last minute appointment and they made me and my sons feel so comfortable. The job was done quickly and efficiently. My sons were playing at the kids' corner and I felt at ease knowing that all of us were being taken care of. They did an amazing job and I highly recommend Auto Aid for anyone who is looking for excellent service, competitive prices and trustworthy people. Thanks Auto Aid for being the best in LA!!! read more

I'm the type of person who works very hard for the things I have. I moved to the valley 4-1/2 years ago and could no longer take my car to Whittier Honda for service which is the area I am from and where I purchased my car. I searched high and low for a reputable, reliable HONEST mechanic and thought I had found that in David and his crew. I was sold immediately. They are a very kind staff and for the most part have taken care of my car well. Noticed a little higher than I would normally pay on some services however really thought I had found an HONEST place. Here is where my story takes a turn......I have had a noise coming from my engine for months........usually in the AM when the car is cold. I took it for an over nighter to AutoAid and was told.....get this.....I NEEDED AN ENGINE REPLACEMENT!! I was given two quotes. One for $3,200.00 and one for $4,270.00!! I don't know about you but I wasn't prepared for this type of news (financially) and the news brought tears to my eyes. I was looked at in the face...and told this information without missing a beat. I took my business to two other mechanics for estimates and their analysis and folks.....I paid $960.00 dollars for the service that was needed!!!!!! I am so, so dissappointed and disgusted with this place!!! I understand that businesses mark up to make a profit but this is RAPE!!! It's a shame that mechanics get a bad wrap for being so shady and rip off artists however, AutoAid......You fit the stereo type to the T!! SHAME ON YOU!!! read more

David, the owner, charges more than the dealer and recommends service that you do not need. I used to like this place when I only dealt with the manager, Per, and David's father was running AutoAid, but now David is running the business and I suppose he wants to show that he can build the business by overcharging. Before you get your car serviced here, call the dealer for a quote. The dealer will probably charge less than AutoAid. read more

The whole crew did a wonderful job refreshing my 1995 truck inside and out. The bodywork and paint is excellent, and the mechanical repairs were done with expert diagnosis and repair. AutoAid did such great work, I'm as excited to be driving my truck now as I was the day I bought it decades ago. Thanks, everyone! read more

Can't even believe this place. Complete ripoff!I went a couple months ago for the first time paid upwards of 600. I thought i was safe in their hands. Came in this week for what seemed like a simple problem. The coolant hose on my jeep bursted and needed to be replaced. They quoted be 430 including testing. I said don't test it, brought the price down to 365. I called brake center in tarzana they called for the same part, only coats 30$. Yes 30$. New quote + labor, 130. AutoAid is a complete ripoff. Trying to take advantage of myself and other customers! read more

overall it is as good as it gets! honest and friendly- always comes through on the customers' side for anything - I was able to use an extended warranty contract on my work today and was happy ini the end. Great team- Jack, Debbie,Matt and David and the mechanics. :) read more

I gave 1 star because I never made it in. I spoke with Dave on the phone who rubbed me the wrong way. I immediately told him that my oil light came on last night and asked him how busy it was. When he told me he could squeeze me in the afternoon, (I called at 10am), I told him I was work all afternoon. He then asked me about the next day and I said, "oh no, I don't want to drive on the vehicle, (I work downtown and live in Van Nuys). He said, "well, you have to drive the vehicle in HERE, don't you?". Just that type of condescending, downward talk to a woman bringing her vehicle to you gets you a poor review. I'm not an idiot but he is. After all, this was not a routine oil change, it was overdue and the oil light was on. Tomorrow was too late and he should have known that. And how is driving all the way downtown in the heat the same as driving a couple of miles to his service station? Not a fan of his attitude. I'm going elsewhere, 0.5 miles from my home in Van Nuys and I will review them as well. read more

These guys are great - I can't say enough good things about this shop. they're smart, the place is clean, there's a nice waiting room, they take the time to talk you through all the repairs. there's no hard sell on stuff you don't need, they are willing to discuss what has to be done NOW, and what can wait, if you can't pay for all the repairs. they even save the damaged parts & will show them to you if you want! In addition, they washed the car, use a AAA discount on labor, and give new customers a little welcome kit for your glove compartment. and there's coffee & cookies in the waiting room! I have finally found my new mechanic. read more

Unfortunately, we were in an accident BUT, fortunately the guy that hit us asked us to go to Autoaid and talk to Jack about fixing our car. We were a little apprehensive at first since we didn't know the shop but once we met with Jack, Matt and David- we felt more at ease. But the proof was in the work and service that was done. To say they were unbelievably professional and their communication with us through out the whole process was stellar---does not really do them justice!! It's too bad there are not 6 stars to give them---We would recommend this shop to anyone! If you need to have your car brought back to its original beauty---this is the place to do it and make sure David handles the claim!! read more

Everyone here is so nice and helpful. They are efficient, friendly and very reasonably priced! I highly recommend!

Jack and David and the whole team are great. I have a 2002 Mazda MPV - that needed some work as well the driver's power seat was broken. It being an older car, I was concerned that the repair cost be so expensive that I would not be able to do it. Well, that was not the case- it was completed quickly and reasonably priced. I am completely happy with their service and will be sending other family and friends to see them. read more

I have been a customer of Auto Aid and Rescue since 1992. 25 years later, they are still the best auto shop in town. 25 years ago when I was a starving student at a nearby school, I had a squeaky wheel. Sadly, I took it to a brand name shop down the street where they talked me into spending $400 on a new caliper. Of course that didn't fix the problem and the work was probably not even done. I asked a teacher at the school where I should take the car. He sent me to Auto Aid and Rescue. They looked at it, realized that I had a bent rim causing the noise. They fixed it and didn't even charge me. And that is how you get a customer for life. Thanks Jack!!! read more

I read some good reviews here, so I brought my 4Runner in with a mystery leak to have them investigate. In short time, they put it up on a lift and found that my oil filter wasn't tightened properly. They did not pressure me to have any work done, wrote up a report for me to show to the shop that goofed (not in the LA area), then checked my tire pressures all around. No charge, just a helpful attitude and a very clean shop. I'll be back! read more

Very quick service. The inspection is great. They point out what is good and what is going to need replacement soon. But absolutely no pressure. I can't be happier. read more

Thank you auto aid for reaching out to me and making it right. I do appreciate the effort and the refund for the misdiagnosis.

I had the most incredible experience at Auto Aid. This is a car shop you can trust. As soon as I walked I felt at home and felt like I was in a place that wasn't going to rip me off! Everyone was kind and very very helpful! It felt so great to know I've finally found a place I can trust. It really does feel like a family there and as soon as you walk in you'll feel the same way! Honest people, with intentions of honestly helping you. They let you know what you need to get done and what you could wait on if you can't really afford it. I highly recommend this place auto shop. I know you won't be disappointed! read more

These guys are not only great mechanics, but they are also straight shooters. They will tell you when NOT to spend the money, which is a rare thing. They are friendly and efficient, and have always gone out of their way to accommodate my family. I don't do yelp reviews often, but when a place goes beyond in their customer service and does quality work, I believe they should be supported. read more

Auto Aid offers the best in customer service. I've had engine work and also body. Everything done to the highest quality....but the best part are the guys working there. It seems like family, everyone is so nice and taken care of. Yay for Auto Aid and highly recommended! (I've also seen some pretty cool cars in there...cool spot) read more

These folks are the best. I've been going for regular service for 3 years. Recently, my car gave them a lot of trouble, but they did everything possible to make the experience easy for me, even though it took some trial and error. Plus, they called a few days later to check up on how the car is driving (great, finally!). I always feel that my car is in the best of hands, and I'm not terrified when I see them on my caller ID--I know the price will be fair. read more

AMAZING PLACE!!!! I usually dread going to get my oil changed, but this place is GREAT! super friendly and helpful staff and the absolute best service and prices around! I paid just $36 for synthetic oil, tire rotation, wiper check, battery check and complete 38 point inspection. Couldn't believe it! AND the waiting room was very comfortable- fresh coffee and water for your enjoyment. I will definitely send all of my friends here!!!! read more

Jack and David and the entire crew at AutoAid are wonderful to work with. They greet you with a friendly smile when you walk in. David called me frequently to update the status of my repair. Efficient, professional and super friendly as always! My old minivan died at 6 o'clock at night in the middle of an intersection. I got it towed to AutoAid which at 7.30 a.m. immediately started working on the car giving me an email estimate in few hours and had the car fixed by that afternoon. Just great for a mom that has kids to run back and forth to school :-) read more

Wow what a great experience I just had. David and his entire team did such a great job. I brought my car in (on a Friday) knowing that something was really wrong with it as I was smelling a burning oil smell whenever I'd get out of the car after driving it. Low and behold, yes there was a major oil leak and there was oil all over my engine. David called me and advised me that the care was not safe to drive and that he would get back to me with an estimate. By Monday (they are closed on the weekend) they were working on getting it cleaned up and ordering parts and were in constant correspondence with me. I did have to rent a car, but they provided me a discount at the car rental place which was super helpful. Not only did they get the job done but they were super upfront about costs and offered options. What amazing customer service. Will be going here from now on! read more

I was really nervous coming into this appointment for a pre-purchase inspection, not knowing if I would find out enough to help decide whether or not to buy this car. This is my first time buying a car! But my experience was beyond excellent. They did a thorough inspection and instilled so much confidence. They handled a sticky situation with my potential seller so well and took all the stress away. In the end, they potentially saved me thousands of dollars by helping me understand all the things that were wrong with the car and why I probably shouldn't buy it. Thank you, Autoaid, you made this such an easy process! read more

All I want in a mechanic is honesty and good service - and I've found that at AutoAid. Truck was ready faster than I expected, and service was great as always. I've definitely found my new mechanic...! read more

I found a used Dodge Grand Caravan for sale in the valley and wanted to have it inspected by a credible mechanic to be sure that there weren't any issues with it that the dealer was not aware of or; perhaps not disclosing. After some research online, I was surprised at how poor the reviews were for local Dodge/Chrysler dealer service departments as well as area mechanics in general. Then I found AutoAid & Rescue and quite frankly couldn't believe the gushing reviews. It seemed like my best option so I called and Per was able to set up an appointment for later that day. Convenient When I pulled in, it was immediately apparent that this was not your average auto repair shop. I was promptly greeted, my vehicle was checked in, the shop was IMMACULATE clean and organized. As promised, the vehicle was inspected thoroughly in a little over an hour and I was provided a detailed report in writing but, in addition, Per walked me through all the key issues that he found on the vehicle so that I could examine for myself. The rave reviews are accurate, this shop is a find...do yourself a favor and make these guys your mechanics. Thank you very much Per and David Bob K read more

Family owned, wonderful service, reasonable priced. I used to go to the car dealers before, until I felt that every time I come in for an oil change, I was ushered in to some more work that was not required by my maintenance book, book costs a lot of $$ (motor cleaner, etc) - where a bottle of Techron might suffice. I checked them out about 3 years ago, and they are my only go to shop since. For my whole family, several friends and customers. Everybody came back happy and had only positive things to say. read more

This will be my ONLY garage from now on! The garage is indoors and is very clean. Very friendly and professional. affordable. Suggested that =I wait for a brake job.
