I own several vintage Hondas and I'm looking for a shop I can develop a relationship with that will give them the loving care they need. I was able to source the parts we needed, but Karlos then felt he might damage something while trying to access the engine bay to make the necessary repairs. I told him a few times that his standards were higher than mine! While I was disappointed that Karlos won't be able to be "my guy" to maintain my collection, I was impressed with his honesty and integrity. He could have easily done the work and moved on, but he's a "car guy" like me and knew there was a good chance the job wouldn't have turned out the way both of us wanted. I brought Pearl (my car) in for tire rotations, new air filters, and a quote for my a/c unit. Before coming in the owner instructed me to look into Pearl's warranty before spending extra money on something they may cover on my a/c unit. Messaged the business before it opened and someone got back to me. I was able to have them take a look and told me it is better to go to the Honda dealership to get the parts separately as it would be cheaper. Long story short, someone removed my passenger side mirror. The wiring was cut and the base was destroyed, everything else was intact. After I got the parts they were able to fix the issue. My Acura MDX was having issues starting one morning, finally turned then was misfiring while driving kids to school. Brought it in to Mister Station, Karlos immediately assessed that is was probably just the battery but he would make sure. Did some diagnostic tests, swapped out the battery, test drove it and signed off on it as just the battery. I appreciate he didn't try to upsell me an alternator, starter, or other more expensive work. Also didn't overcharge for the battery. Been a couple weeks and issue hasn't returned. I purchased my 91 Honda crx about 4 months ago. Since day one I wanted to give it a full tune up. Going to the Honda dealer was not an option. The prices are super high so I decided to try Mister Station referred to me by a friend. Since arriving I got greeted by Karlos which later I find out is the owner. I told him I wanted a full tune up and he suggested he would check the vehicle and go from there. Dropped off my car for a sensor replacement (his hourly rate is $80), was given a ride home to Sherman Oaks by one of his staff, and came back at 6p to pick it up. I have immediately noticed a drastic improvement in the car's idling RPM's; it's smooth, and keeps a constant flow throughout the engine. He also replaced a couple screws from the valve cover that were over-torqued before I came here, and calibrated the valves in the engine.
