This is a long overdue review for Van Nuys Auto Works, Chris and his employees. I can't say enough about the excellent work and customer service. I wish I could give them 1000 stars! Chris is so kind as are all of the mechanics I've interfaced with, and I see nothing but satisfied customers whenever I'm there. I have a 2004 Prius that I've kept in great condition. It suffered a bad car accident to the right front quadrant in December 2024. I thought I'd have to total it and get into a new or used car which I couldn't afford. I took it into Chris and decided to have him repair it which I didn't even think was possible. It ended up costing much less than a monthly car payment for years to come. My car looks like nothing ever happened to it, and it drives like it did before the accident! I'm so grateful to Chris and everyone over there for taking such good care of me and my car! read more

Highly recommend because I had a very smooth and easy experience with them. First off, I have a 2015 Audi Q5 that has never given me problems until now. After 10 years of driving in LA things started to break all over. I took my car for MANY quotes because it's not cheap to fix a car like Audi and I wanted to the best deal for quality work. I have been working with Chris and Harry at Van Nuys Autoworks for the last three years. A good mechanic can be hard to find and these guys are the real deal. They have always been kind, informative, and pleasant to work with. And they get the job done, which is important when it comes to vehicles and vehicle maintenance. Most recently, my car broke down on a trip to Yosemite. My extended warrantee was giving us a really hard time, and Chris and Harry jumped through hoops and bent over backwards to help me get my claim. They worked with inspectors, sent organized vehicle reports, followed complicated protocols, and even fought for me on multiple occasions when the warrantee company tried to deny my claim. If it wasn't for them I would have been out of pocket thousands of dollars. They also recently have been putting more into their business. Making the place feel more inviting and clean. When I go, I usually hang out on the coach, and have a cup of the free coffee that they offer. The staff is very friendly and in a world where the human element is so rare, they really show up and take care of you! So far, of all the mechanics I've tested and tried, Van Nuys Auto Center seems to be one of the most fairly-priced, efficient, and trustworthy. They do quality work and guarantee it. They even let you bring your own parts if you choose to. I went in for something recently I thought would cost a few hundred to a thousand dollars, and the owner found it to be a small adjustment which he didn't charge me for. Everyone I've referred to them sings their praises. They are also a pleasure to deal with snd have a lovely waiting room They are my first choice when recommending a mechanic in L.A.
