I've been going to AutoAid for a couple years now and I've always found them to be very honest, nice/kind and fairly/reasonably priced (i.e., not the cheapest but not the most expensive). I think what won me over was the first time I brought my car to them, they had two opportunities to cheat me, but didn't. Specifically in one case, they noted my tires needed replacing, but they said that only 3 of them need replacing as the 4th was in really good condition. They could have easily just said all 4 need replacing, but only recommended the 3, so I appreciated the honesty. Recently, I took my Civic for AC servicing and an oil change and the process was as smooth as always. Very random, but I love the online system they use. You get to see all the notes made about the cars, they sometimes upload photos, etc. Keep up the good work! read more

Been about 5 years since I needed service done. Went right back to auto aid. Check engine light with a P0014 code. Diagnosed the issue which was exactly what I had read about on line, so no surprises there. Some delays getting the work done as the Hyundai dealer delivered the wrong part twice, so Lupe himself drove to Mission Hills dealer to make sure the right part was gotten. Professional all around,. I found Auto Aid after my car dealership's service department quoted me an $8,000 repair. My Subaru had a busted hose, which the dealership repaired, followed by the $8,000 repair quote and a recommendation that the engine be removed and taken apart because of coolant and oil mixing. My car has only 70,000 miles on it and runs fine. A second opinion was definitely warranted. Auto Aid was great. Dave was polite on the phone, stayed within the time promised for a detailed diagnostic, gave my car two test drives after the diagnostic, and explained what he thought the issue might be. The cost of the diagnostic was reasonable. As it stands, he did not see anything that warranted a serious repair or engine work. Just so I would know, he also ran a quote of exactly the repair that the dealership recommended: $4,200 as opposed to $8,000. However, Dave did not see anything indicating such a repair was needed. I took my other Subaru to Auto Aid for rear brakes ($100 less than the dealership) and an oil change. Great service, fair prices, nice people, rides given for local customers, and a cute waiting room with free wifi. I've found my new mechanic. read more

(From my experience two months ago) I've been coming to this place since they were at their old location. They've always been friendly, honest and excellent at their jobs. My only tiny disappointment comes from my most recent experience: I saw they were offering a Cheesecake Factory coupon for reserved appointments, but nowhere in the email nor on the appointment pages did they say anything about minimum cost required to qualify. I asked them about it and they said the overall cost has to be over $120, whereas they charged me under $90. While I'm glad that I got my maintenance done by a reliable crew with a reasonable price, I'm a bit bummed out by the technicalities. This is, without a doubt, the best mechanic I've ever worked with. From our experience, they were incredibly honest and thorough, making a huge difference when we were buying a used truck. Despite their busy schedule, they managed to fit us in for an inspection. In just an hour and a half, they identified everything we needed to know about the truck's condition. Auto Aid is absolutely superior! I came here after I had a terrible experience with my local dealership service and Auto Aid took better care of me than the actual dealership that sold me my car. Everyone on the staff is insanely friendly and you can tell they're really good, positive people. It's so easy for women to be taken advantage of in the car space and I can say that I 100% trust Auto Aid to always be honest and never try to falsely upsell me. I've had my car serviced here twice so far and I plan to continue coming here as long as I stay on the area. I've never had to use their waiting area but its important to note that it's always very clean and well taken care of. Most mom-and-pop car service centers have dingy waiting rooms that are super uncomfortable to hangout in. Auto Aid really takes care of that area and that shows that they invest in a good customer experience, which is something I really appreciate- even though I don't typically use those spaces. Very helpful guys, I went in to get AC fixed, they tested it and let me know there were areas it was leaking. They looked up the parts and discovered there was a factory recall on them, so they printed out the necessary paperwork I needed to bring in to the dealership and get the parts replaced by Honda for free. I moved to Los Angeles nine years ago and had no idea who to have service my car. One of my colleagues recommended AutoAid and it was one of the best recommendations I ever received. The entire staff is wonderful! Everyone I've encountered was courteous, friendly, and courteous. They have never talked down to me. I trust them. They serviced my two previous cars. Then, last year, after an accident totaled my 2014 Camry, I purchased a new car, which I've had serviced at the dealer because I have Toyota Care. The dealer is not as courteous or welcoming as the guys at AutoAid though. My tire pressure light was on and I went to the dealership twice and was turned away twice, even though I was told I did not need an appointment when I called. After being told I'd have to leave my car overnight for them to check the tire pressure, I decided I'd go back to AutoAid. They took my car in immediately and resolved the issue. I'm going to try to get my Toyota Care routine service transferred to them. And if I cannot, I'll pay out of pocket for it. It's worth it to be treated with respect. If you need quality car care and want it done by people who treat you with respect, I recommend AutoAid. read more

Your response is poor. You mention that a car battery should be replaced when its 6 years old. A lot depends on battery life such as how much you drive, living in area that is cold in winter. You mentioned that you wouldn't want me to get stranded because of a dead battery--well my Nissan Rogue battery has plenty of life in it and is very strong at this time and does not need to be replaced. Not to worry, I have AAA service. I received the email that was supposed to contain my courtesy inspection but was unable to open the attachment. Correctly I should have been given the courtesy inspection at the time I came to pick up my car, along with copy of the alignment. Looks like maybe you hope that the client will not ask for these reports--Inspection or Alignment. I should not have had to call Auto Aid to request these reports. As for the tires, Mac showed me the cracks on the outer side of the tires .On Thur 11/4 I went to a tire store on Sepulveda Blvd and bought 4 new Uniroyal Tiger Paws with 75,000 mi warranty out the door for $600. Your creditability at the moment is at zero percent. There is obviously a need for you to take Mechanic School 101 over again. You could also use a class big time in Customer Service and learn how to talk to customers and not try to snow them on needing unnecessary parts or work. A customer at your shop will have to beware and hopefully be knowledgeable on car repairs or be at risk of being taken by someone such as you. You brag about doing a thorough courtesy inspection, yet you did not fill up my windshield wiper fluid plus my antifreeze level was low. Such poor quality service!!! read more

Hands-down the best repair shop that I've ever been to. I had a popped tire and a nearly obliterated ran. Not to mention the fact that my ABS cables were completely destroyed. I've always had my car serviced at the dealer and found out my air filter wasn't even securely bolted on! My cabin filter was basically disintegrating even though the dealer stated it was replaced. I first went to AutoAid many years ago, first with Jack and now his son, David, and all the great guys who make up the company. I recently took in my old truck because it failed the smog test. I have two vehicles, but had become leery of driving the truck as, the rare times I did, it was pretty wonky and felt like I might get stranded somewhere. I took it to AutoAid to see if they could get it to pass, planning to sell it, if I could. The repairs cost more than I wanted to spend and required a new catalytic converter, but not only did it pass the test, it now drives like it did when a much younger vehicle. I am no longer afraid to drive it. As an added plus I got an education on a proper asking price from John, which I had no idea about. But it drives so nice now, I may keep it awhile longer. read more

Just had my car serviced here today. AMAZING customer service. The moment I got there someone greeted me with a smile and great energy and had me go into the waiting room where they promptly took care of me. There's coffee, little water bottles and mini muffins to enjoy while you wait. There's also a little toy section for kids. Everyone here is on point. Thanks to David and Jack for running a very clean, smooth operation. They just take care of you here, I'm very happy! I feel very welcome and will be coming back for future services.
