I went in for transmission fluid change earlier in February in my Toyota Camry 2018. I bought OEM Toyota transmission fluid and asked Joe to help do drain and fill.The drain and fill was completed. After that there was a rough driving issues started. I went back to show my car to joe and he drove the car he told me he don't see any issues. I wanted him to check transmission fluid port on if there is low transmission fluid he didn't agree and told me I might be overthinking. I went to different mechanic in April and he checked. I paid $100 to reopen the port for transmission fluid and what we saw was no fluid came out from the primary port. He added 0.5 quarters left. The issues I have had for rough idle and need to have higher RPM on slope went away completely.According to him you have to keep the car running when you drain the fluid and you need to have it at the right temperature he said the drain and fill wasn't done correctly that's why there was still room for fluid. The viscosity of the fluid makes a difference in how much you can fill and drain. He double checked for leakage and there were no leaks either. When I went to joe and asked about don't you have to keep car warm to see if temperature is right? He said you only do it when there is a leak. I don't think Joe knew enough about mechanics of New car. I wasn't overthinking when I went to ask Joe for help and asked to recheck the transmission fluid. I paid $260 for labor only( $160 to Joe and $100 to another mechanic) for same job. It's really absurd. Overall this could have damaged my transmission. I think for future the customer advise should be taken seriously. I know my car well so I know when it's not acting good. I have been driving it from 10 years.

The Yelp reviews were on point, and so far I've had very good experiences here; taking my Jeep Grand Cherokee for a variety of maintenance - oil changes, services and repairs. Ralph has been available to take care of any issue when I've just dropped in. I took these pix in my visit today as I needed a cracked plastic seat panel changed out. Ralph and his talented Mechanics have taken care of my car and I highly recommend them.

When my car had to be worked on for a couple of hours, Ara the owner offered to personally give me a ride home since I'm a local - I honestly can say no one has ever offered to go above and beyond like that from any other garage I've been to! The prices are fair and much cheaper than going to a dealership, but the quality of service provided by Castle Automotive is even better. Give them a call or bring in your car whenever you need and they'll get your sorted out as soon as possible without breaking the bank.

My car (2019 Audi Q5) suddenly lost a lot of power while I was driving home (but still 30 miles away) so I was able to get it back home but had no clue as to why it was kind of doggin' it and I couldn't go more that 50 mph on freeway and between warning lights and the general understanding of how much car repair costs, I figured this could be $300 to $2000. Matt tells me they want to do a "smoke test"... $150 so I'm thinking, OK, smoke test then $1,000 to repair whatever issue they find. Nope. Smoke test showed a part adjacent to the turbocharger was loose so they tightened it up. Who gets out of a car repair shop for $150? Anyway... this isn't a HUGE shop with 8 bay and 12 mechanics but it's your reliable corner mechanic that has nice people, transparent communications and a clean shop. And it's the only place I'm going for the foreseeable future.

It's one of the best decisions I have made this year. Will was able to come out with a day or so and run a diagnostics check, quickly locating the issue and showing me the results. He explained to me what the issue was, discussed options, gave me a full quote and a price - highly competitive. With me agreeing to what needed to be done, he ordered the part (Saturday) and came back the next day (Sunday) to install it. Incredibly helpful and so polite, he showed me the new part, walked me through what he was going to do and afterward even showed me the part he removed and explained the wear and why it was actually perfect timing. Within hours I was up and running again, good as new. I have NEVER had service like this from a dealership in all my years of being a car owner and driver (and that's several decades). Will also flagged other things that I needed to be aware of (including needing an oil change - which I will be getting him to come and do) but at no point pushed for me to do them there and then - zero pressure, just guidance. He repeatedly asked if I had any questions and was keen for me to understand what was happening and why - superb! He even cleared up the work area after he'd finished. Flawless. Aside from the convenience and Will just being an incredibly nice guy, his attention to detail and service are second to none. Friendly and knowledgable, he works hard to make sure you understand what he's doing, and is professional and polite at every step along the way. Will clearly cares and takes great pride in what he does. He's the only person I will be going to for my automotive service needs from now on. Highly recommended.

Dr. Wheel is on the lower side of the equation. The other thing, they come to your house. Say what? Got me wondering how solid of a repair we were looking at. Well, once I dug into the process, saw that the work is warranted for a year, I figured I'd give them a shot. First, we had them do two aftermarket wheels which relatively minor damage. The result was pretty incredible. The wheels looked good as new and honestly, I couldn't remember where the blemishes were . Months later the wheels looked great. Today, we got four wheels on my wife's car done, all with curb rash to a varying degree and the result was great. The challenge today wasn't the damage, it actually wasn't super complex or extensive. It was the color. From the factory, the color is pretty unique, but the Dr. Wheel team got it pretty much exactly. A special shout out to Jonathan, who came out to our house twice and did a great job. Friendly, professional, thorough, and just an all around solid dude. Not that I hope to get more curb rash on any of our wheels (nor do I wish that for you!), but if we do, we will definitely go back to them. We've already referred them to a few neighbors.

When I questioned why I see that it's recommended online he says that dealers will recommend this service all day but if you check the Toyota maintenance manual it says you don't need it. Man! I haven't even been to this shop yet and I'm already getting a good feeling about this place. It's a bit more expensive for an oil change than other places that have quoted me, but I like that they use factory parts including Toyota oil filters. I'll update this review once I get the car in for my first visit. Stay tuned.... 6/29/26 - Brought my Sienna in for an oil change + complimentary 30-point inspection (since it was my first time there). Jared took the van for a spin, brought it back and lifted it up. They found a little oil seepage coming out of the transfer case. I let them know that I did see a transfer case drain/fill on the CarFax report before I bought it. Jared thinks they just didn't torque it properly so they were going to retorque and clean up around the area and keep an eye on it. Worst case scenario, they would need to order a new drain plug gasket and I'd have to come back to get it replaced. Thankfully, the drain plug just needed to get tightened. I was in and out in almost exactly an hour just as Robert promised. Thanks The Toy Shop team!! Pro Tip: they are booked out at least a week in advanced so make your appointment ASAP!

Anyone who builds off-road vehicles knows that finding the right shop is a niche and personal choice--you want a team you can trust with your rig. I had originally received a quote from a shop in San Diego, but when I realized there was a shop right here in my own backyard in Burbank, I wanted to try and keep my business local. I reached out and sent them the itemized list of work from the previous shop to see what they could do. What followed was some of the most unprofessional behavior I've ever experienced. The guy who called me back came out swinging, practically yelling at me over the phone. He was incredibly defensive, snapping, "Just so you know, we are $275 an hour for labor, and I see you cut this invoice out from someone else's estimate. We are more expensive than them." He sounded deeply insecure and visibly furious that a customer would dare to shop around for the best fit. He later left a voicemail asking me to call back. When I did, a different guy answered the phone and spoke to me like I was a debt collector harassing him. When I answered his question about who I was looking for and our previous conversation, he rudely interrupted me mid-sentence, blurting out, "OKAY, WELL I HAVE ANOTHER CALL SO..." and literally just trailed off into silence. I just hung up. Why would I ever let people who treat human beings this way get anywhere near my vehicle? How does a business survive operating like this? I had a $12,000 job ready to go for tire replacements, a suspension overhaul, front bumper replacement, roof rack and heavy maintenance work. Instead of securing a massive project, these clowns let their egos and hostile communication skills ruin the transaction. Out of principle, take your hard-earned money and your rig somewhere else. Go to a shop where people actually practice basic kindness, respect, and professional communication. The way this entire crew came across was like a bunch of snakes. Save yourself the headache and go to another off-road establishment. And know that this place charges an hourly labor rate of $275 an hour.

Overall it was a bust and repairing it wasn't worth it but I appreciated the honesty and thorough evaluation. The garage itself has access through the alley, street entrance is pretty busy. We communicated via text and phone but during drop off and pick up the main guy wasn't around. He shares the garage with someone else and that person helped us when the main guy wasn't there (sorry I can't remember his name). Overall a good experience despite the fact that my car is officially dead!

Leaving your car, which is your baby, with an unknown mechanic is like leaving your child with a male stranger. What's going to happen? So, when I first walked into AutoAid, I was nervous. I didn't know what they might do to my baby, a 1988 Corolla. And then: The customers in front of me were an older couple. When Jack (the owner) left the office for a moment, the couple turned around to make conversation with me. When they discovered that I had never been to AutoAid, they told me that they had been bringing their car to Jack for 20 years and that they "loved" AutoAid. What a relief! I have been bringing my car to AutoAid now for 6 years. My baby runs great. He's only broken down twice (Once, due to a dead clutch, and I fault myself for being lackadaisical about the warning signs. And the second time due to a dead battery.) I feel confident enough in my old car to take him up to Northern California when visiting family. And he usually passes about a third of the traffic when going up Sepulveda Pass (well, unless I get stuck behind a slow person. Then it's 60mph for me). Not bad for an old guy. I tried a few other places (including a Toyota dealership) but was not as satisfied. So, bring your ailing car on by. They're trustworthy. (Incidentally, their waiting room has a small play area for little children, and the most magnificent bathroom I've ever seen at a garage :) read more

Very impressed! Brought my car here, at the suggestion of a friend. I was extremely nervous because I don't know anything about cars and didn't know if I was being overcharged (being laid off, I was weary of the cost). I had lots of questions. I met David and he was extremely patient. I was looking for a shop to do an oil change on my car. IT WAS AN EMERGENCY! Found this place online and called them. I spoke with a guy named Per and he was so kind. He stayed after their normal business hours for me to get there because I really needed oil in the car. Once I got there he put oil in the car for me and even fixed my battery for NO CHARGE! The next day I brought my car in the morning I dropped off my car and one of the guys there took me to work and by the time I was out of work the car was ready! I've dealt with Autoaid for years and found them to be the BEST auto repair service shop I've ever dealt with. Their prices are fair and all the people that work there care deeply about their customers. My car wouldn't start today, I called Jack the owner whom I've known for at least 10 years, told him about my desperate financial situation and that I couldn't even afford a prescription I must have. For over 20 years, I have been a customer at Auto Aid. Whenever there is an auto problem or i just want a tire checked I go to Auto Aid. Definitely my go to for service and repairs. Always professional, courtesy and their work is high standard. My last trip was to get my car service done, tires changed, brakes done and fix a huge dent on front bumper. All done within a few days and reasonable cost. They were immediately helpful, took the time to listen to my full story (which they absolutely didn't have to do ), and then offered clear options to fix the issue. The staff is efficient and professional, with very clear communication and transparent pricing. Service was quicker than expected. They also offer multiple other services and booking is available online, but they're also very helpful over the phone. Grateful for getting me back on the road quickly and safely.
