Horrible customer service. Store manager was working at the front but busy hanging out with his boy to help. His buddy had to tell him someone was waiting before he even tried to acknowledge me. I had the part with me with part number. Manager couldn't find it so I told him make and model and told him this item is a serphantine belt. I need 2 one for alternator and one for power steering/a/c still had no clue what I was talking about. How are you a store manager when you don't even know what a serphantine belt is. Ohh my gosh!! The worst auto zone I've been so far !!!! I came in just now to replaced my battery after driven all the way from California with my dismay I approached the guy in the counter which I normally do everytime my visit to AutoZone . I asked him to helped me with the battery can't do it because it's way too early ! And one more thing , he LiED that he can't even looked my account in their system using my phone number . I've been a LOYAL customer for the longest time and I never had a problem with the auto zone employees only on this one located at 9471 Rainier Avenue south , Seattle , WA 98118. I understand it's early that's why I woke up early to get helped from auto zone . I don't recommend this location to anybody because of the bad customer service . -0 experience !!!!! This AutoZone has the worst hospitality. We came in around 5 PM on New Years Eve looking for help with replacing our car battery and we were refused surface by staff on site because they were closing early. Mind you, Autozone does not close until 8 PM and there was no advertising stating that they were supposed to close early on this day. Not only was the staff rude to my partner but they made him feel completely uncomfortable for even asking for help. Fortunately we were able to get help from another Autozone in Renton, who informed us that corporate direction was to NOT close early on New Years Eve. read more

Auto Zone Alternators are JUNK! I purchased a NEW, not refurbished alternator for my Acura from Autozone back in April of 2022. Six months later on October 21, 2022, it started acting up. The alternator I replaced back in April appeared to be the same brand. It failed just after year after I bought this car which was only driven less than 4k miles. Duralast alternators are garbage! Auto Zone's return policy is basically non-existent. They will trade you for replacement piece of junk, but then you'll be stuck in an endless cycle of paying for labor to replace this part every 6 months to a year. It's a money pit and a trap. Years ago, I replaced my alternator using the same brand for my Toyota. Afterwards, I would receive a high pitch feedback through my car speakers. It was very annoying. I should have learned my lesson then. I do not recommend any alternator from Auto Zone, O'Reilly's, etc. Save yourself the headaches and time wasted by staying away from these places! Have your stock alternator rebuilt or buy genuine parts. Believe me and you will thank me for it. read more

Went in to the store today to pick up my pre-paid item. The door was locked (and 6 people, including me, were waiting at the entrance to be allowed in). Sign on door said "Short staffed. One customer at a time". I waited 15 minutes, then left. I canceled my order over the phone once I got home. I then drove two miles north out of my way to an O'Reillys. When I entered three staff at the counter turned to me and smiled. One said "Hi, there. Can we help you locate anything?" And they did help me, offering advice, coming out to look at my car. Friendly, professional. At this O'Reilly's (a same size store as the Auto Zone store), there were FIVE employees on duty, helping customers. If they can maintain a full staff, Auto Zone can. But they don't. They don't care. I called the Auto Zone customer service about this, and sent an email. Was told "our regional team will contact you within 24 hours". A week later, no one has contacted me. They simply don't care. read more

The employees here have been so fantastic for us. We have needed 3 (yes, don't judge) different car batteries charged which they do gratis in about an hour. It's amazing. I've not expected them to fix my car of course, but they did a fine job getting wiper blades correct as well as generally being nice about our requests for free charging. read more

This is my first review ever & I'm only writing it because of how terrible the service was. I arrived to test out an alternator & was told to wait although I was first in line. She forced us to the side as she helped other costumers with their purchases. There were two other workers that were just walking back and forth that just glanced over at us from time to time who didn't seem to want to help. One of them was finally told to help us out by the main lady after waiting 20 or so minutes. The person helping us didn't seem to know what he was doing & he ended up telling us that the "machine was broken" in which we then left . There was no apology for the wait or anything. 3.5^. I came here after getting my latte nearby and needed some new wipers. The store appeared very organized and clean. Round-up was mainly for the black gentleman in the hat that was my cashier. When I'd asked if he could look up my needed wiper sizes in the computer, he was fast, friendly and smooth. They are so helpful here! My car battery died in the cold, and I called to ask if they delivered batteries. They don't, but said if I lived nearby they'd walk it over!! I eventually got over there after a jump, and they were so helpful and friendly. They took out my old battery, put in the new and I was on my way quickly! I came into Autozone to return an item I was unsatisfied with. It did not work the way it said it would and says satisfaction guaranteed or money back on the packaging. Autozone has a 90 day return policy and I bought the item 6 days ago. Pablo had a big issue with me returning the item and told me that I could not return the item for a refund. I proceeded to ask why?He would not give a reason other than "I can't". He then asked his manager if he could return it and his manager said yes. Pablo does not seem to like customers. I suggest going when Pablo is not working. Everyone else is very nice and extremely helpful. The 1 star rating is because customer service is the most important part of any business. read more

AutoZone won't have the best prices or the *top* quality parts but I don't think that's their mission statement. My personal use case is to drop by when a part fails on me suddenly and I need a working replacement ASAP. They carry a great generic inventory where I've found what I've needed for various cars way more often than not, and parts are decently priced. The convenience and consistency has always been worth the slight markup for me since it's really not that much. Would you be able to find some of the same parts for slightly cheaper at Walmart? Sure, maybe, but you definitely won't be able to quickly borrow a wrench to install it or troubleshoot that check engine light with an OBD sensor there. The guys at this specific location have always been helpful, knowledgeable, and honest (Pretty important for me to have an employee just say they don't know rather than start making stuff up I know is nonsense) read more

This is the worst Autozone, Do not go here! I live close by and will drive out of my way just o avoid them. First of all the "manager" helped me to find a head light and blinker for my car. He took me over to where they were got them for me and walked away. I looked at the blinker and knew it was the wrong one, started to say something to him but he was already gone. Went back up to the desk and got help from someone else, I told him what kind of car I had and that this was the wrong blinker. He said well it has to be the right one, and then he told me to go outside and take out my blinker, which means taking out the battery, and show him the right one. Very not helpful. Thankfully the only person who seemed to know what she was doing in there, Amber, came out and looked at it and knew which one I needed, so we received the right blinker. After getting home though we found out we had received the wrong headlight...ok take the battery out battery back in and drive back to the store. We find the right light ourselves and wait in line patiently. The "manager" asks us if we have a return and points us to a computer down at the end of the counter and helps everyone else in the store. We flagged down Amber again and she made things right. Except we got the difference back on a in store card, which we will never use... All in all the worst auto parts store experience ever. I'm happy to say that talking to management did really helped solve all my problems. I have been having alot of problems trying to figure out why my check engine light is on and off. I found out that they did a code check for free to help you diagnose your cars issues. Edwin at the Rainer Beach Auto Zone totally hooked me up! I needed new spark plugs and a o2 sensor and he was right on the money. He hooked me up with the tools I needed and all the parts but the o2 sensor which he found for me at the 23rd Ave. South location. The guys at this location were also super awesome and informative. I was treated great and they really seemed to listen to me. My car is driving like new! Thanks guys read more
