They replaced the rear main seal, fixed an exhaust leak, and took care of a handful of smaller things that needed attention. What I appreciated most is that they went through the car thoroughly and tightened everything up instead of just doing the bare minimum. The pricing felt fair for the amount of work done, especially considering it's a classic and not always straightforward. After getting it back, the car runs smoother and feels much more dialed in overall. You can tell they take pride in their work and actually care about what they're putting out. I'll definitely be back and would recommend them to anyone looking for honest, quality work.

The owner Luke is HONEST, straightforward and fair to his customers which is a rarity in these times. We have been customers for 8 years now and have been extremely happy with the work that has been done on our cars. We have had a few super tricky issues that were very puzzling and somehow Luke figured out the problem . One of the most enjoyable things about AUTO PRECISION is that there are several of these old guys that visit Luke each morning and sit in the lobby with their coffee and Dunkin Donuts and chat. Sometimes I have waited for my car to be repaired and I thoroughly enjoyed talking to these guys. I highly recommend Precision Auto as a reputable business.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Stormy is a stand up guy, looking out for you, not your wallet…read more I had rodent issues with my truck for a couple of years. They kept getting into my cabin air filter, which would clog the air vents and eventually lead to one of them chewing on the knock sensor wires inside the engine. While visiting my parents in the area, I tried taking my truck to Toyota of Escondido, where they proceeded to quote me $7,500 to fix the knock sensor and a number of other "issues." $3,500 of which was just the sensor and $300 to replace the air filter. Which is absurd. My truck is worth around $8,000. Frustrated I went looking for a reasonable mechanic, and that's what I found with Stormy. Stormy did all the same work Toyota said needed to be done at a fraction of the cost, but wouldn't fix my knock sensor initially. He said he wouldn't take my money to fix it, just to have me turn back around and have him fix it again within the year. He gave me recommendations on how to rid my truck of the rodents, and once I did, to come back. You have no idea now much I appreciated that level of honesty and willingness to make sure we'd actually fix the problem, not just take my money because I was there. Other places (including Toyota of Escondido), would have gladly taken my money, not mentioned the fact that it could happen again, and taken my money again when the problem returned. Anyway, I tried his recommendations. The Mighty Mint spray (available on Amazon) did the job. After several months of being rodent free, I gave him a call and booked an appointment. And here's were Stormy once again proved his merit and won me over as a customer. After taking a deeper look into the issue, he realized my truck has a very specific design flaw. Something that would take him personally a longer time to fix than a friend of his. He gave me a call, broke it down to me, told me about his friends shop (Aloha Automotive), offered to drive my truck there (which he did) and made sure I got a good deal with them too. The whole endeavor took way longer than I wish it would have, but honestly, I'm glad we took our time to fix it. Because of Stormy my truck is back in perfect shape and at a beyond reasonable price. My truck doesn't often have issues, but any time I have them in the future, I will 100% bring my truck to him first.

I'm really grateful I found Mission Auto Repair. I originally came across them when my former…read moremechanic's prices had gone up beyond what I could reasonably afford. I usually handle my own oil changes myself, but at the time I didn't have my tools with me, so I decided to bring my vehicle here instead -- and I'm glad I did. Richard (owner) gave me a quote and helped me schedule the oil change. During that oil change, Cole (one of the mechanics) noticed that my shocks were leaking, which was causing uneven tire wear. I truly appreciated his keen eye and honesty in pointing it out. Because of his heads-up, I went to the Jeep dealership and was able to get the shocks replaced under warranty -- something I likely would have missed until it was too late and no longer covered. More recently, I returned to have my start/stop battery replaced to clear a caution light, and once again the experience was smooth and professional. Their pricing is reasonable, the quality of work is solid, and they get your car ready quickly without cutting corners. It's hard to find auto shops you feel comfortable trusting, but Mission Auto Repair has definitely earned my repeat business. Highly recommend.

Robert!!! What a down to earth and honest human being. I…read morecalled to get a second opinion on some axle issues my van had been having, and he told me to come down right away. He was able to prove to me with 100% certainty that the axle was the issue, and he even showed it to me. He only was going to replace one, and when I noticed the rubber boot on the other one was becoming dry, I asked him he could just change that one too. Moral of that story- HE WASN'T TRYING TO PUSH ANYTHING EXTRA ON ME. While I waited for the other guy (Jerry) to do my axles, Robert offered to buy me food. We walked across the street and he bought me a breakfast burrito.. like WHAT! So kind!! Unfortunately, when the axles were done, he noticed a coolant leak coming down from my van. He said... that wasn't good. And I shouldn't be taking any long trips with a leak like that (I was supposed to be driving to Arizona the next day). He said my water pump was bad and it would be smart to replace it before driving a long ways. Unfortunately again, the part only comes in a kit with the timing belt, and that sh$& is EXPENSIVE. But... it had to get done. So I told him to go ahead and order the part, let's knock this bi$ch out, even though I knew it would be expensive. I didn't want to risk anything happening on my road trip. He and his team were able to get it all done same day, which is extremely impressive considering all the work. There's a TV in the lobby, so I just netflixed and chilled all day haha. I would recommend everybody go to these people. They are super helpful and thoughtful. Robert even showed me what he was doing along the way, so I could get an accurate picture of what was wrong, what the parts looked like, etc. Although I was there for just short of 10 hours, I would have done it again knowing how well I was taken care of.
