This place is a straight up tire shop for simple fixes and repairs. The people are friendly, knowledgeable and CAPABLE. They will get you in and out quickly if you know what you need, they are not a Discount Tire, come at them with what you need and they WILL take care of you. read more

My front two tires were balding... but I waited until I ran over a nail and got a flat tire to change my tires. I went here and they gave me the wrong size tires for my car... read more

My new favorite local business! Had some very dead tires on one of my vehicles and missed the Black Friday sales. The best price I could find was $120 installed at Walmart, but I'd have to wait 2 days for an appointment. Called Auto Stop and talked to Bob and he had a full set of my tires for $65 each out the door. Drove on over and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Came back later in the day with another vehicle and they took care of me with that one as well. I'll be bringing them a lot more of my business in the future thanks to their pricing, speed, and service. Thanks, guys! read more

Incredible and honest service! I got a flat tire and as a single female living out of state from any family I'd usually rely on to help me figure it out; I was panicked. I got a tow to Auto Stop Used Tires because the reviews looked promising...and I'm happy to share that the service lived up to it! "Twin" is absolutely awesome, he showed me where the problem was (even stuck it in a water tank so I could see exactly the issue) and offered me two options of either patching the tire or buying a new used one (both at incredible prices). He didn't pressure me into any which way nor the more expensive choice. I went with purchasing a new used tire, and all in all I was driving off the lot within 20 minutes of arriving! Definitely my go-to place for any and all tire needs/repairs. It's easy to be taken advantage of when you're down and out and uneducated on the process or industry, this place is humble with the most honest and quality service. Thank you Twin!! read more

Called to ask if they had tires my size and as soon as he heard the size, he said no and immediately hung up. "Don'thave'emclick". Clearly not interested in anything more than the $$$. Would not recommend. read more

Got a flat, switched to a donut. Bf recommended this place. Drove up and was greeted by a nice helpful man. Was in and out within 20 minutes. They repaired my rim and got me a used tire all for a reasonable price. Would definitely come back if I ever had another flat/blowout. read more

So fast. So cheap. These guys are the bomb. I replaced a tire that was on its last leg for $25. It took 15 minutes and the guys wee super nice, helpful, and honest. This is your go to. Do not go to a corporate chain. This should your first and last stop for tires! read more

Auto Stop Used Tires - Tires Near Me - Austin, Texas

told me over the phone he had 2 like new tires at a good price.... i made a 30 minute drive and was told he didn't remember and had already sold them " bait & switch " i won't be back.......................... read more

Call the gentleman he said he can take care of me right away for some used tires arrive an hour later he looks at my tires and tells me you have no reason to buy tires your tires are in good condition but identified that my front left tire had a flat was in and out of there in 15 minutes with all my tires inflated to the right psi as well for 15 bucks. read more

I called ahead and asked for pricing on a tire. They said $50. When I got there they said the tire should be fine once they fill it back up and fix the bent rim. Once he put the tire back on he told me it would still shake at fast speeds and that I will need to get a tire and that they needed to order one (when they told me on the phone they had it in stock). He charged me $40 bucks for that. So I payed ten bucks less than a price for a tire and all they did was fill it up with air and bend the rim. Total rip off read more

Air was going down in one of my tires and they were kind enough to fix it for $15.00 They put a patch on it and I have had no problems with the patch. There was no wait time and they were very helpful. I was in and out in under 30 minutes. read more

Good prices but you pay for what you get. Been here 3 times for various things. One of the OWNERS of the shop did not tighten the bolts down on my wheel and I drove off and the damn wheel nearly fell off! They ended up having to replace the studs on the hub and wasted nearly 5 hours of my Saturday. I got no apology from the owner or any kind of reimbursement, I've tried to get in contact with him several times but no luck. Also every visit I've left at least one lug nut short. read more

I recently moved to Austin with my Van all the way from Connecticut, on the highway i rolled over a screw and punctured my rear tire....yesterday it got really bad and my tire would not hold the air...it was time to fix it... I was on SOCO in my car 3 dogs...it was hot and these guys rolled me right in and changed both rear tires (225/60R17) for $84 in 9 minutes....checked all tires and asked if i need water for my dogs....WOOOF love them.... read more

Got a used tire put on for $44 all together. Went on a Thursday at 4. Couldn't have taken him longer than 6 minutes from the time I pulled into the lot to the time I pulled out of the lot. Amazing. This shop may look a little worn but I would recommend 10/10 on the convenience alone. read more

I have reached out to this company 3 times now - they've somehow forwarded their office phone to my cell phone and I'm getting 25+ calls a day for them. If you're trying to get in touch with them, don't bother calling the number on their website it will just come to my cell phone and I'm in CA not in TX. Clearly they don't check their email or the contact form on their website very often. read more

Excellent service, quick, fast , efficient, Bob handled everything smooth no gimmicks, excellent and affordable, definitely recommend!

So this review is long overdue. Fate has a way of making life... "interesting." I had JUST paid off my car and was on my way to see "The Day of the Doctor" on a cold Austin evening. "Well, wait a second..." says Fate, "That's too much good stuff happening in a row." So there was this invisible yellow waist high pole that one of the buses knocked over on a turnabout by my office (F U Capital Metro!) and blamo! Blown tire and (I didn't know it at the time) bent tie rod. Long story short, a few days later I slowly rolled my car to Auto Stop Used Tired and they had a tire for me that was both cheap and in really good condition for a used tired. They also offered to fill up the air in my other tires! Oh, and they were super quick. There was someone else ahead of me and I didn't have time to think, "Are they done yet?" So, if you need a tired and you're tight on the dollars, give 'em a call! I had a very good experience. read more

Very fast, honest, affordable and incredibly helpful. 10/10 would come back when I need to thanks!

I've been here twice - once for a state inspection and another time with a flat tire. Both times I've been here I've been treated fantastically! They were quick to fix my flat in under 30 minutes for only $15. The employees are kind and honest, and they have better service here than at chain tire shops. Recommended! read more

Not sure why I have been cursed with flat tires, maybe it's my bad car karma at it again, but Auto Stop has been there for me... three times for three different tires! I don't speak Spanish, just a little spanglish here and there which makes it challenging to go to the little independent shops here on the east side and I'm not willing to pay $30 to fix a flat at the fancy English speaking places. Lucky for me one of the guys who seems to be the boss man speaks English at Auto Stop. $10 to fix my flat AND they are super fast, especially if no one else is waiting. There are always a few extra guys around visiting along with a couple token dirty tire shop cats, which gives it a hang out kinda feel which I find endearing. My one complaint... they don't fix flats on motorcycles. Too bad for me! Auto Stop, I'll see you again when I have another flat! read more

First stop on my search for a used tire. The guys waved me in, took the flat off and checked it for leaks. They didn't have the right size tire but directed me to Birds. No charge. They stopped traffic to direct me into the street. I'd go back. read more

They were really nice, really cheap, and really fast. I will definitely go back next time I need a tire. Highly recommend.

Great service, great prices, very friendly folks! They were quick and recycled my old tires for me as well. Fantastic!

Super honest and helpful. Got me 3 used tires with at least 70% tread life for only $120 with installation. Spotted a bent tie rod that every shop and alignment specialist failed to notice. This will eliminate the need to buy more used tires due to inner tire wear. If that's not honest I don't know what is. read more

I needed some new tires and was aghast at the price of Discount Tire. I tried Birds first, and they did not have the right size. They directed me to Auto Stop (or U Auto Stop, like You Oughta Stop, get it?) and these guys were great. They had tires that fit and put them on in a jiffy. No waiting, no crap. I will definitely go back. read more

AWESOME. I was a little iffy on getting any sort of good service on the east side - since I'm a total cracker and all - but these guys aren't worried about any of that. They are friendly, respectful, and they stand by their work. Great prices and informative before you buy. These are local guys running a local mom-and-pop shop, and I can't say enough good things about them! Five stars, fellas! Thanks for the help! read more

Used them twice, came through each time. Fast, friendly service with great prices. First time I replaced a worn out tire for one that was just as good as new for $50. Second time going in I got another tire in great condition and had a different tire patched for $63. I don't think you could beat those prices. Highly recommend these gentlemen. They will not disappoint. read more

I went there this morning. The taller gentleman is really nice and helpful, but he is not in charge. The "boss" shorter gentleman is a complete dick. He is smart, but has not social skill. He made fun of my bmw z4, did not give me a price quote before anything, and was exceptionally rude to his colleague. I will never go there, and I do not recommend anyone to go to this shop. Poor service, I left never got a tire. I will not support individuals who act like that. read more

Crooks. Sold me a tire knowing it was the wrong size and convinced me it would be fine. The tire then came off the rim and they refuse to help me with a tow truck to get it over they when they're the ones who messed up. Will not refer to anyone else. read more

Pulled up with a tire off of my other car in the hatch of my car and within seconds a guy was pulling it out and rolling it to the back to patch a hole caused by a screw. I was in and out in under 10 minutes for a grand total of $7.58 (plus a few bucks for tip for the guy that refused to even let me lift the tire back into my car once it was repaired and aired. read more

I would give these guys 10 stars if I could. I had a nail sticking out of the side wall of my tire and discount tire told me they couldn't patch it and i needed a new tire, they didn't even try to patch it. Looked up the yelp reviews of this place and decided to give it a try. Showed up and the guys were so nice, they said they could patch it- 10 minutes and 15$ later I was good to go. They don't take advantage of us ladies like the other places. Highly recommended!! read more

I came here for a used tire for a project for a play place for my kid and they dropped the price from just $5 to free because it was for a kid. And it looked like a decent tire. They were really nice about and even put it in my car for me. Wow. I gave the guy $5 just for being so nice and all... it was worth something in my mind. Just really great honest guys working there. Highly recommend them. read more

Great service - excellent tires, fast work, great price, friendly!

If you ever need used tires must hit these guys up. They put on some tires that seem to be OK and as I was driving off two of them blue. The guy went out of his way to come and find me and replace all four tires top-notch employees best place for used tires read more

This guy, Joe, is great! I wish I could have taken my car (limping with shredded tire) to him, as he found what I needed immediately.. but, after I went to NTB *boooo*, a few days later, and my son's truck has the very same problem with tires (and same tires, too) as my car had. I'll be taking the truck- or at least the wheels- to Joe later in the day. Sometimes, it's hard to get him on the phone. If so, take a chance and go see him. Seems he has tires for every car imaginable, and is very easy to deal with. Plus, he's open later than any of the places in my own neighborhood.. and his pricing is excellent- read more

This was my first experience with Auto Stop and I became a lifetime customer. I came to Austin few day ago for job interviews and yesterday i had a problem with the car tire, it had a bolt in it. I asked a couple of guys and they told me that the tire could not be repaired and it's finished. I searched on the net for tire shops and came up with this one and the reviews looked good, so I went there and met Mr. Kenith and he told me that he has to check the tire first and while he was checking I was stressed and after 5 minutes he told me that he will fix it for $ 20 and I was relaxed and happy that I made a good decision. While he was fixing the tire, the owner's wife came with her cute little baby girl to get her car tires pressure checked and greeted me nicely and when I was leaving they both wished me good luck for my job search. read more

These guys are great! Incredibly friendly, quick, and honest. Had a huge nail hole, but they said it was in the middle of the tire and totally fixable. Didn't even try to sell me an unneeded tire. So glad we have great local businesses like in east Austin. I'll absolutely be returning with my business. read more

Saved almost $600! Great used tires, honest and friendly. I called around all over for new and used tires. When I got Joe on the phone he quickly found me 4 tires They are barely used tires at an excellent price. Here it is Friday, July 1 and they didn't jack up their prices to an out of towner. $150 for all 4 tires, out the door. Amazing. Thank you Auto Stop Used Tires! read more
