Within a full 1 week / 7 days, I had my vehicle back and was able to get rid of my rental which I didn't want, but needed the vehicle at the time. I would never recommend this place to anyone and recommended my insurance company drop them from the preferred list to its members. This is my first review ever on yelp so you can be sure this is in your best interest to read. My car was brought in before Christmas for two pretty straightforward minor insurance claims and I just got it back yesterday from another shop I had the repairs completed. That's almost three months! A t-bone accident eight years ago with major repairs only took a month and a half. When I got back from a two week vacation to pick up the car the second claim was not repaired and the guy tried to claim he never received the paperwork after both my insurance agent and myself ensured the paperwork was sent and this was to be done before I left town. The run around I received by the employees in this establishment on why this was overlooked and further delayed repairs for two weeks is unacceptable. I took it to a shop recommended by my dealer to handle the second claim. The service there was impeccable and with a new insurance agent very helpful in identifying the subpar and incompetent work performed by Auto Steigler on the first claim. An additional two week delay to communicate the issues and financial responsibility for the repairs not previously identified and lack of workmanship for the first claim completed delayed the second claim repair at the new shop. All I know is the accountability, customer service and repair work at this establishment is an indication of how they do business and it's unprofessional. read more

I snagged my front bumper on a bicycle stand - I have a high end Mercedes C-class - it looked pretty bad. I thought I'd have to have the entire bumper replaced. Instead Auto Stiegler readjusted it - made it look like nothing had ever happened. Costs were minimum - not the thousands I would have been charged had the bumper been replaced. It took about one hour to do this and so, I waited in the waiting room. These were honest, reliable people and I greatly appreciate the little touches here and there. I was just in their shop today, because my clk320 was having some engine trouble when accelerating from a standstill along with creating a lot vibrations at idle. I took my car in today to have my car evaluated and was told that my catalytic converters needed to be changed along with some wires for the ignition system. All in all I was quoted $1600 for the repairs, including some other service they mentioned that I do not remember. I went literally down the street to Mr MB Motors in Tarzana. They looked at my car and immediately identified the problem as a misfire of one of the cylinders, which is what I originally thought, because I used to love modifying Mustangs and had a similar problem. Mind you I got quoted $1600. Mr MB Motors $40. Yes that's right, $40. This is the explanation I received. Enrique at Mr MB Motors said, " When you had the car detailed and had the engine compartment cleaned, the guy doing it must've accidentally knocked it loose ( I just recently had my car detailed )" All he did was reattach my coil spring to one of the spark plugs. That was it. I just had to pay him for his time as he also ran a scan. Now I'm not saying their not great mechanics, but are they honest. Definitely not. I went to another independent mechanic elsewhere and they were trying to sell me an entirely new electronic system and wires. I knew they were all lying as I had my car serviced two months ago. I'm all for making a buck ..... but to charge me $1600 from one mechanic to quote me $1200 from the other is ridiculous. Go to Mr MB Motors, you wont regret it. read more

Most companies will try to buy off your negative reviews with discounts, coupons or straight cash. Stiegler however did it differently. They have more than earned their way back to a 4 star rating by taking my wifes car back, providing a rental car, re-doing some of the body work and restoring the front and back bumper damage to like new condition. In addition, as a sorry and a thank you, they detailed the inside including removing the many stains my daughter has accumulated. The re-done work is both tight and clean, looks like I would expect it to. It's now obvious Stiegler knows what they are doing as far as professional body work goes AND showed over the top eagerness to correct the situation. Excellent customer service. I've had accidents in the past, both times weren't my fault FYI, and both auto body places were good as far as their work, but their service was just okay. They weren't overly friendly or accommodating. Stiegler is different. Everyone smiles, says hello, everyone is courteous and keeps you in the loop by calling you at every important moment of the process, and their work is great. I am beyond satisfied with their work and service and I will be referring anyone in need of body work to them. Also I met the owner twice and he's such a nice guy and gives all his customers hand shakes and thanks them for their service. That is just icing on my very satisfied customer cake. It's hard to find a mechanic that you trust and you don't feel like you've been ripped off. We've brought our car in for both major services and oil changes and I've never felt over charged or pressured into doing work that doesn't need done. When I missed a scheduled appointment to replace a part. Johnny and the staff went above and beyond to get the car fixed. I just had a baby and Mike came to our house, picked up the car and dropped off a vehicle of us to use. This far exceeded what my expectations. The service was great, the waiting room was clean, and even though my car has over 100,000 miles, they didn't magically find anything wrong with it like I'd imagine other places I'd taken it to would have. This shop participates in USAA's STARS program so that's how I was referred. I brought in my Audi after an accident. Although their initial time estimate was off, I expected it would take longer. Surprisingly, my car didn't look like it took a beating but I was in it, it certainly did and so I knew there would be extensive "hidden" damage. In any case, once they were able to fully inspect it, they realized it and gave me a new estimate. Throughout the process, I was informed (weekly) about the repairs, got updates and I'd even say they went out of their way to ensure I was taken care of. After the repair, Avo (a service manager) offered to return my rental so I didn't have to bring another person to drop me off. The repairs are well-done, I was at Audi and the salesman was even admiring the work, you cannot tell it was ever in an accident. I never had to deal with paperwork, payments, photos or anything like that - its all being taken care of between the shop and my insurance. read more

WOW. I was recently in my first car accident (rear ended) and all I could think about was the horror stories I had heard from friends and family about similar situations. Well NONE of my nightmares came true. In fact...Auto Stiegler did EVERYTHING for me. Not only did they come to my house to pick up my car and give me a loaner (WAY above and beyond), but they called the guy who hit me, AND his insurance rather than have me do it. Basically, I did NOTHING. Within a weeks time, they had ordered the part I needed, gotten payment from the guy who hit me...and even dropped my car back off in my garage while I was at a Laker game! Aside from all that...the work they did was exquisite, they went ahead and used the paint from my new bumper to patch a little scuff on my front bumper (again...ABOVE AND BEYOND), and my car came back cleaned and detailed. I have a fully restored 72' Bronco that had a hose leaking from the fuel pump to the filter. I drove to my usual shop, and for some reason they were closed on a Wednesday morning...so I was desperate. I stumbled upon Auto Stiegler by accident! The truck was leaking major gas, so I pulled in and asked a tech if this is something they could fix on the spot, and he referred me to Johnnie. Johnnie is the service manager, and is the son of the owner, he had Mauricio come take a look at the hose. Johnnie was really approachable, and has a easy going genuine way about him...I didn't feel like I was getting hosed! (no pun intended haha) Anyway, I'm super protective about the Bronco as its a 3 on the tree transmission, so when Mauricio asked for the key to pull it around I was a little hesitant...but he eased my mind when I heard about his 65' El Camino.
