I found one in Concord to my relief. The Arco had one and this was one is a little different than the ones I have been to before. You have to pay the cashier for the service before you get the wash. I paid $14.99 for the regular wash. It's the cheapest one! Drove up to the wash area to see two workers waiting for me. They scrubbed down my car before the machine brought my car into the wash itself. Remember you need your car in neutral. I don't know why but I love the sound the wash makes. Love the feel of just sitting as the machine moves your car! After the wash and rinse, I was put to the outside! Another worker was waiting for me, by his lonesome self, he towel dried my car. When I arrived today, at first they told me that my vehicle was "too big" and that they didn't have the right employees available today to wash a vehicle of my size. However, I could clearly see their employees washing a truck that was even larger than my vehicle. I asked them why they could wash that truck but not my car. Only after I questioned this explanation did the employee finally tell me the real reason: her boss had told them not to accept me as a customer because of an incident that happened a long time ago. During a previous detailing service, my windshield wipers were damaged. My friend--not me--went to speak with them afterward and asked them to take responsibility and fix the damage. There was an argument between my friend and the business, and apparently they are still holding that situation against me even though I was not the person who went there and argued with them. What makes this even more disappointing is that I have returned since that incident and they have cleaned my vehicle before without a problem. I believed the situation was long behind us. Today I came in simply as a paying customer asking for a car wash. I wasn't complaining, arguing, or asking for compensation. For me, good value means quality work, honesty, respect, and taking responsibility when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, my experience today did not reflect those values. I find it very unprofessional to first give me an excuse about the size of my vehicle and staffing, and then admit that the actual reason for refusing me service was an old disagreement involving my friend. If a business makes a mistake or damages something during a service, a customer should be able to bring it to their attention without being treated this way later. In my opinion, holding a personal grudge against a customer over a past complaint about damage caused during service is not professional customer service. I also found the owner's attitude unfriendly and disrespectful. A business owner should know how to communicate professionally with customers and resolve disagreements instead of carrying them forward for years. I had already put the old situation behind me, but unfortunately, they clearly had not. Today's experience made me feel unwelcome and disrespected. Visit #1: There was no attendant anywhere, which I understand -- you can't staff a place 24 hours a day. But right where you drive in there was a piece of plywood with a nail sticking straight up. Anyone could have punctured a tire. Maybe that's not technically the car wash's fault, but someone in this neighborhood thought it was fine to leave it sitting right there in the entrance. Visit #2: I was vacuuming my car and had just set my glasses, pen, and notepad down on the concrete by the vacuum stand for a moment while I worked. Within seconds the attendant came up behind me and grabbed them to throw them into the garbage, which was honestly kind of shocking. I had to stop him and explain they were mine. His response was basically that I "shouldn't put things there." But I had literally just set them down next to my open car door while vacuuming -- they were clearly personal belongings, not garbage. Visit #3 (today): While I was vacuuming my freshly cleaned car, the attendant's pug jumped straight into my car with muddy paws and ran across my seats and center console. I do want to say the attendant himself was friendly and said good morning to me that day, and he seemed like a genuinely kind person. I'm not trying to get anyone in trouble -- in fact he seems like someone who could be a real asset to the business. But it might be worth management simply reminding staff that dogs should not be running loose in a parking lot with moving cars or jumping into customers' vehicles. That was the final straw. I don't expect perfection, but basic awareness and common sense go a long way. A small dog shouldn't be running loose in a parking lot with moving cars, and it definitely shouldn't be jumping into customers' vehicles. Three visits, three completely avoidable problems. Unfortunately, that's enough for me. I'm sure this review won't do anything to your business, but for what it's worth there are also some basic things missing here. For example, there are no clips in the wash bays to hang floor mats, which is pretty standard at most self-serve car washes. It's actually one of the reasons I don't wash my car here and only use the vacuums, because trying to wash mats without them is frustrating. It's just another small thing that adds to the overall picture where there always seems to be some new problem or omission you'd think would be standardized by common sense -- but this is California.

Today I needed a deep clean detail and I had them do "the works" detail on my car before and it was really clean that time. So, I decided to use them again. (I told the lady I wanted it shampooed three separate times.) My car was very dirty. I transport my golden Retrievers around alot, so it is a dirty fur bomb golden hairnado inside. So, I got there before 2pm today and they had cones set up blocking the entrance. That was strange, I thought they closed at 5pm??????? Anyway, the lady motions me to drive on in. So, I drive in and ask them if they were closing because I could come back another day. She told me "no we can take you. We close at 5 but we were going home early today because business was slow." I told her my car was really dirty and furry, she said "no problem, we'll take care of you." She also told me that since I had been there 11 times before, that I would get a discount. GREAT!! Take my money...lol. So I left my key fob in the car and went inside to pay and I also bought a bottle of water because it was going to be an hour or so for the detailing/shampooing. 20 minutes later my car rolls out and under the shade trees. Two workers started slapping towels all over my car, just rubbing and quickly drying...I thought that was odd. I was waiting to see them roll a utility cart out with detail cleaning supplies, well the utility cart never roll out. 25 minutes from the time I left my key fob in the car to "finished"...LOOK AT THESE PHOTOS and you be the judge if it was "finished"! It was not closing time, it was only 2:25pm. The dude called out my car because they were done. I was shocked and could not believe they were "done". I looked at the dirty seats, the dog hair was still in my carpets and the back window dash board, the windows were all smudged, the cup holders remained gross, and you can still see where earlier in the week where the mechanics greasy bums sat on my seats and got grime everywhere. The wheels don't even look washed. The worker was clearly mad I was criticizing this crappy work and begrudgingly went and got some kind of long hose from the back and began power blowing all over the inside of my car and then the hairnados went WILD all over the inside of my car ...LOOOOOK AT THESE PHOTOS!!! I'll not EVER go back there again!! I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO MY HUSBAND and not taken my car here!!
