On September 18, 2022, we took my SRX for an external wash. In the wash tube, there was a horrible grinding noise, and it turned out that a piece of the fabric that slaps the car as it washes had wrapped itself around my roof rail, and wedged itself in tight. No one in the drying tube told us this thing was hanging off our car. We realized it when we made our next stop--and turned right around and went back to show it to them. A nice young man tried to remove it and couldn't. He called the owner, who had him ask me to bring it back the next daso he could see it. The young man cut some of it away so there would be less hanging off my car. The next morning, I went back and met with Michael--the owner. He tried to get it off, and couldn't. He then had someone else try, and that person couldn't get it off, either. We agreed that it needed to be done by a body shop, and I said I would take it to Hunt Valley Auto Body, which Michael agreed was a good place to go. The last thing he said to me was, "Let me know if I owe you anything." The next time I could get an appointment at the body shop was in November. The bill I paid for the work was just over $300. I sent a copy to Michael to ask how he would like to handle it. He didn't reply. I tried a second time. He didn't reply. I sent it again, this time, certified mail, return receipt requested. He received it, and didn't reply. That's where we are. My SRX was damaged, and the owner won't do the right thing. I used to be a regular customer. Now I'm never going back. read more

Auto Spa is ALWAYS good to me. I think the difference between myself and some other customers is that I treat the workers with respect. I've seen a lot of bad behavior from customers coming through here. It's Cockeysville and I feel like others know exactly what I'm pointing out. They wash both my BMW 330Ci and my Jeep Wrangler to perfection. My BMW is for leisure so it's rather easy to clean. My Jeep however is often my "farm truck" it sees feed, muck, mud, you name it. I'm always a bit shocked by how clean they get it. Haha I'll miss y'all now that we are moving to Texas! It's been an absolute pleasure. read more

I went and got my car washed on Tuesday which is great because it's their discount day and I was able to get one of their higher quality washes. I think that they could spend more time cleaning the visibly dirty parts. I had a coffee stain on my door and I asked them to focus on that and ignore the trunk. That way they can spend more of their time cleaning that and the stain is still there they cleaned the outside of my car Nicely it was very shiny afterwards. My complaint is (after paying $250.00 for a detail) a nasty guy who smiles a lot, Michael the manager and having to bring my car back 2 times because their quality of work is horrible. Why did I ever give this place another chance? After my previous insulting visit, I spoke to the co-owner's wife about the rude lady with the short hair. And who greeted me in the line today? The same lady. I was hopeful ... until she couldn't figure out my Platinum Plan barcode on my $49 subscription: "I never seen this before. Usually it's just four numbers. Go inside to the cashier." , says the short-haired lady. I suggested that the manager inside come to the customer outside to solve their system's problem. Oh no. Why did I do that? He was equally incapable. While cars piled up behind me waiting, the workers like a small mob, came to my car & began cussing me out for refusing to give up my spot in the line. They figured out a solution: they cussed me out and called the cops on "a Black guy in a Mercedes." No one was wise enough to say, go through the wash and we'll fix it when you get to the counter." What an operation! As a pastor, I try to be reasonable with people. I never once raised my voice. As a 54 yr old Black man, I'm aware that I'll usually be considered the problem. The situation escalated in minutes as my admin. assistant, who purchased the subscription the day before, listened on the phone, flabbergasted at what he was hearing. The police showed up in minutes. I was in disbelief. What could I do but drive off or end up in a bad situation? Better for me to drive away, insulted -- worse this time. And have my assistant cancel the subscription. They hire all these individuals who can not speak or understand English, so when u request some correction no one adheres to my request. The inside of my vehicle was supposed to be vacuumed. IT WASN'T. I have a dog, a vacuum is a must. They sprayed my all purpose floor mats w a power hose. Then they throw the soaking wet mats on ur seats, DRIPPING WET! So NOW, my back seats have this huge water stain on them bc I do not have leather. They do it to every single car. I told Ryan about it and he said he'd run my car through again. I got it back the second time and I still wasn't satisfied but I damn sure ain't about to spend my whole day waiting around to get my car cleaned the way it's supposed to, I'll just have to do it myself. No wash will be perfect in less than 10 mins, but it's just a great spot and well run. I don't really agree with the overly negative reviews I read here. I think this is a case of satisfied customers simply not reviewing. Complainers often speak the loudest and most often. I think they do a good job of cleaning the car. I think the cleaning is commensurate with the price paid. And it is certainly better than I'm going to do in the twenty minute it takes them. If you want your car detailed than pony up $100+ dollars and get it detailed. This is a glorified carwash for Pete's sake. My one question/complaint is why they don't offer a membership, or car wash club, or frequent users card. I would love to have an explanation from the management. There is no way they would lose money on such a program. If they offered say 6 washes at $210 and valid for 6 months I would buy that in a minute and be there every month. There is no way, however, that I will remember to go there monthly without having that layout of cash to remind me. So they could make $210 or $40-$80 from me over 6 months--that is a no-brainer. Moreover it is human nature to buy a deal and fail to capitalize. So they could be selling $35 washes that never cost them a minutes labor or materials because people would buy them and forget to use all of them. read more

The attendants pointed to the sky, it was raining slightly. This was unusual since the wipe down and wheel service occurs indoors, in a covered garage. I save some money and get a gas station wash. This place is a rip off. I requested a refund still haven't gotten my money back yet. One of their work is climb on the side of my truck and put a dent in the side with his knee while trying to wipe the top of my pickup. They were not trying to be responsible for the repairs. Which cost me $160 to repair I requested to cancel my membership one month into it. It's been three months and I still haven't got a refund every time I talk to someone on the phone it's always I will call you back. They always have to pass the information off on to someone, and the last time I called to get my two months worth of money back. They told me I came on a day that I know for a fact that was not there. I was in a whole different state and they have to charge me for that then they told me they will pull the tapes to show me I was there I was like OK yeah please do that And I haven't heard anything from them. This place used to be great - they had people handwashing the car in addition to the machine wash and rinse and it was always worth the price. I told my daughter how great it was and convinced her to go. She pulled in my driveway and I said "Aw darn, were they closed?" because her car was still so dirty. She said "No, I just went through. There were no people towel washing my car, and there was one person who sprayed one side of my car with a power washer." And all that cost her $23. That is absolutely ridiculous. The car looked just as dirty when it came out. This is ABSOLUTELY not the same service they used to provide. You are better off going to a drive through car wash for $10. I sent my son to get the car detailed with a gift card I bought a few years ago. They refused to honor it saying they only had to honor cards for 2 years (state law says at least 4, by the way). As a business owner myself, I would have honored it. It's the ethical thing to do. Instead, they opted to steal my money. Please don't go here. At least, don't buy gift cards here. I had a Very bad experience when I had my car detailed and washed on September 1, 2021.The windows were covered with a greasy film! They did not vacuum the trunk at all. Although I requested i twice! The vacuuming job they did was very slovenly and they missed most of the dirt.I will never go there again it was a bad experience all the way around. I re-detailed it myself. If you're using a gift card, be sure to know the balance on the card before presenting it for payment. My card had an $82 balance. My service was $34 but $54 was deducted from my gift card, leaving a $28 balance. I questioned this immediately and the $28 balance was canceled and the correct amount of $48 was applied to the card. Worst customer service by the owner Mike, he refused to honor monthly contract of cleaning the interior, . He said I could get the exterior cleaned unless I wanted to wait an hour. I said we would. I saw them clean the interior of the car ahead. I asked to see the owner . He said I was not in line early enough, the car ahead of me came in at the same time. I've had better inside cleanings in the past. They once would run your can back through the interior line till it was cleaned. Not any longer. I get it, some cars are too dirty. Still at 36 bucks, plus a 2 buck suv surcharge I expect more. They leave it up to the guy at the end to get it vacuumed. He did a great job. Made sure I tipped him. So 7 dollar tip ( I'm in the service industry and I know how you cheap and ignorant people are) so I tip well. Now I'm at 45 dollars and a my floors look like I vacuumed them at the Wawa next door. There was a time when the service was much better. You know, I keep giving them a chance. Especially since they went under new management. I thought they would change. First of all, you can't just get the inside of your car cleaned. You have to get a car wash AND THEN you can get the inside cleaned. Then, this is not the first time either, my car was still dirty after they were done. Well, I really should have checked out the reviews from fellow yelpers prior to going to Auto-Spa As a result, I waited for 45 minutes in line on a Saturday afternoon. The meet and greet girl was cordial and helpful and explained the process and ensured me that my car would be washed, detailed, and that the trunk would be vacuumed for $38. The car wash tunnel was pretty standard with automated power washers, soap applications and air dryers. However, the detailing was a very poor, and the results were very unsatisfactory. After detailing was "complete" I opened the trunk to put away a few things and found that the trunk had not been touched. There was still dirt and debris everywhere which I pointed out to an attendant. Luckily, he got another attendant to vacuum it out promptly. I then noticed that there were very muddy/greasy wet footprints over the driver's side door mat which I pointed out to another attendant who quickly took it away, cleaned it to the best of his ability and brought it back. By then I had inspected the interior and was quite put off by how none of the surfaces appeared to have been cleaned. So, I took about 30 minutes to wipe down the dirtiest surfaces, and then made the decision to go to Target, get some detailing supplies and detail the interior myself. While I could have made a scene and a big issue over how poor the detailing at Auto Spa is, I saved my breath, as the whole process is set up to provide very poor value. Basically, any kind of detailing isn't possible, given the volume of cars that are serviced on a very tight "assembly-line" setup. It appears to me that workers are doing the best they can given that they don't really have enough time to do a decent job. read more

I have visited this location twice. The first was to get my car detailed and it was one of the worst detailing jobs that I have ever received. The next time, my car only needed a simple wash and quick interior once over. After the vehicle went through the wash they parked it and left it powered on, everything running, and without the engine running. An hour or so later they finally finished a simple 5-minute vacuum job and handed me the keys. Unfortunately, the battery was dead. The operating owner was on-site and jumped the car, and I took it straight to the mechanic who performed a full diagnostic on the vehicle. The only problem was that they had drained the battery, and had done so in such a spectacular fashion that it required the service center to reset and reconfigure the onboard computer. This occurred in early July and the Owner Operator, Michael Deutsch, has refused to compensate me for the 231.50$ that I incurred for the service center visit. I presented this to the BBB, and initially, the business was cooperating with the process. Unfortunately, the business stopped responding to the BBB in late Oct after reviewing documentation from the service center that clearly demonstrated that they were responsible. read more

I used to be an avid customer and went to Auto Spa almost every week with both cars. However, things have CHANGED. I was there yesterday. First thing I noticed was that they raised their already high prices ($38 for interior/exterior wash). Then, it took them almost 40 minutes to get to my car -- not to finish it, to get started. When I got home, I realized they had not vacuumed out the back of my SUV. Their was still a smudge on the front bumper. The floor mats were installed backwards. There was still a dried bird dropping on the back window. I realize I could have inspected the car before I left, but what the hell are they charging all that money for???? Customer should not need to go behind them and catch all of the obvious things they missed. I noticed that, while I was waiting, they had a bunch of their guys working on a Bentley SUV (which is why I waited soooo long). Someone said it was the owner's car. I've been getting my car washed here for years. In the last year they got upgraded equipment so they no longer have people with brushes in the car wash tunnel. I was nervous the first time but the wash was fantastic and my new car came out sparkling. Recently there have not been long waits as there were several years ago. Humans do a brief rub-down detail at the end. They have lots of bins of clean and used microfiber towels you can see; they are not using the same nasty towel 100 times. Yes, sometimes my windshield is a little cloudy, I think from getting waxy product on the towels. I re-clean it at home with specialized car window cleaner (worth it). This is the best alternative to washing your own car! I have only had pleasant exchanges with the employees there. read more

I have been to auto spa for several car washes and even had a car detailed. There service USE TO BE great. Today was the worse service I've received. Something dripped on the hood of my car that would take a little more work for them to remove. The manager, an older gentleman, came over to tell me that it would require more work and suggested I take it to Timonium Detailing, another detail shop. I guess for $50, his establishment (which has a detail service) could only offer to send me someplace else to out to a little elbow work into removing the spot. The appear to be more interested in washing as many cars as possible and less about quality and customer service/satisfaction.
