The staff throughout ownership and neighborhood changes has always been diverse. There are no slackers working here and the team deserves tips at entry and exit. Especially the latter. We come to this car wash from time to time when we want a good cleaning of our cars, inside and outside. This place is pricey, but given the service and details they provide, it's worth it. Unfortunately, for us who are used to washing our own cars at home every weekend, this place is a bit too pricey to come here every week or something like that. But then we do choose the most expensive option. They have different price range for different services (as you can see in the pics). When you drive through the back, they will vacuum your car and clean your wheels. Depending on the size of your car, the cost varies by a few dollars. Then the car goes through the automatic wash and it gets cleaned further and wiped down by people. The whole process can take about 10-15 minutes, not including wait time. At the end, we tip them and end up paying about $50 for two car washes (SUV and small car). We say it's on the pricier side compared to the automatic car washes where you pay about $13 per car wash and you can vacuum yourself. But if you want to give yourself or your car a treat, this is a good place to go. They offer coupon books, which offers a pretty good deal. The only catch is you have to use it within 6 months or it expires. Because of the time limit, we decided not to get the coupon book. They're a busy place. We went during a weekday about 15 minutes after they opened, and there were already a few people ahead of us. My family has been getting their car washed here for 4 generations....Grandparents, Parents,Myself, my children and extended family and friends always impressed attention to detail, personable workers/staff and great job in washing your vehicle....Well they're under new management and replaced the entire staff.. Absolutely would NOT recommend, they do not do nearly as good as they use to. (July 2023) I went today got a premium wash and tipped $10 just to find they didn't wipe off any of my seats or my dash. I'm someone that keeps my car very clean to begin with but could still see dust and lint everywhere that only needed a quick swipe. Also they didn't vacuum my trunk which was empty or my back seats. As far as the outside it was just smudges everywhere. Finally the windshield was not wiped at all. I literally washed my car myself when I left. I have been going to Eastern Car Wash since I was 16 years old and I'm 50 next year. I have left several posts throughout social media over the years about how fantastic they were. Believe me I no longer feel that way. I bought a gift certificate for my friend to have his car detailed. His car was in pretty bad shape but I just knew that Eastern was going to do a fantastic job, boy was I wrong. It started badly right from the beginning. I was told I had to make an appointment for detailing. That was not a problem except when I finally called to make the appointment, the young lady who answered the phone wouldn't speak into the phone and it sounded like I was Santa talking to someone's four-year-old child trying to get their Christmas wishes. She kept mumbling incessantly. She was the last person who should've been answering the phone. I bring the car in for the appointment time. When I arrive, the workers start shaking their hands at me telling me I can't leave the car with them, they're not doing detailing that day. I asked to speak to someone and an overwhelmed gentleman came over. I told him that I made an appointment and I took off work that day to drop the car off. He said that it was fine, said he found my name wherever it was and that I could leave the car. Fast forward two hours and I come back. My initial reaction from 20 feet away was that the car looked really good. And then I got up close! I'm going to include the pictures below. I asked to see the person that worked on the car because I wanted to point out a few things I initially spotted. The guy got really defensive almost immediately, and told me that he was the one who did the car. He walks up with a spray bottle and a dirty rag and starts wiping off the spots that I see. When I started showing him the finer details, he said that I should've bought a better package. The car that I brought to him was a Mazda 3. The highest priced package for a small car was $125, the amount of the gift certificate. All he kept repeating was that I didn't pay enough. So I simply ask him how much more do I have to pay for you get the rest of dirt cleaned off. At that point all he was doing was smearing around the dirt that I asked him to get off of the car. I went inside to speak to the manager or owner. Guess who was at the desk? And her voice was even harder to hear behind plexiglass. Now while I was asking to speak to the owner/manager there was a young woman in line who chose not to wear a face covering and was literally 2 feet away for me. I asked her to step behind the line and she became belligerent. There was an exchange between she and I, and the customer behind her who realized she wasn't going to cover her face decided to leave. Now the reason I'm including that in this review, someone, other than a customer, should have told her that if she didn't have a mask on, she can't be in the building. By the time I understood the cashier wanted me to call another day when the manager was in, I have just about had enough and I left. Before I left these are the pictures I took of my car. I did not leave the lot and take these pictures later. This is exactly how they presented the car to me. I don't know who the new owners are, because for as many messages as I left, no one ever returned my call.. I paid to have that car detailed. Detailed! That means that the details should've been taken care of. The service was awful. The workmanship was abhorrent. The end of an era for me and my family. read more

This place does 5 star work at a unbeatable price, but the traffic situation is dangerous. The car wash only has one lane for line up along the building, but with 10 cars waiting, the line starts to form on eastern avenue. I really think this is waiting for an accident. There were tractor trailers rolling past waiting cars, and everyone that was driving in the right lane had to switch lanes at a moments notice. Management could line up cars parallel to each other along the building, and then alternate turns entering the wash. Bedsides the traffic situation, there are no other complaints. read more

So let's just say my car looked tf good for a great price! It's important to note that the picture of what each was comes with is correct! So if you get a deluxe wash, an undercarriage is included in it. I got the deluxe instead of the premium because it didn't come with rain x. I looked it up while I was waiting and decided I didn't like what people were saying about it lol. They take a lot of care in wiping everything down after your car comes out the wash. I was going to give them four stars at first because of the cloth particles left behind, but I realized that's not really something they can control too too much. So here, take my five stars lol. I probably get my car washed about once a year, because I'm terrible with maintenance in that respect. I had my emissions test and I thought I would just take care of my "annual car wash" at the same time, you know, kill two birds with one stone. I wasn't super familiar with the area that I was in, so I literally put "car wash" into my gps and leapt out on faith! Eastern car wash was 7 minutes from me, seemed decent enough, and I prefer to give my money to a small mom and pop style car wash, then to a big box style car wash. The car wash is pretty small but has everything you need. I pulled in and waited for about ten minutes in a line of about 5 cars. The instructions are clearly written on a sign at the entrance-remove any detachable antennas, unlock all car doors, remove trash from your car etc. The car wash attendant will ask you what package you want; full, deluxe, or premium. The most expensive package is $21 (premium) and includes complete service and tire shine. I went with the premium $21 package because my car needed the extra attention, and I thought the price was reasonable. I paid for the service, watched my car go through the automatic wash, and let the attendants know that I wanted my tires shined. Overall they did a great job, but they did miss a couple of spots-the car door compartments, and some parts of the center console, etc. I touched those spots up when I got home just so everything would be done. I don't carry cash, but I wanted to tip so I ran down to the bar at the end of the parking lot and took some money out. I tipped $2, to the guy who handed over my keys. Until next year! read more

Good part: pretty good car wash at a good price... Negatives that could be improved on: their lot is SMALL, so it can get full very quickly with only a handful of cars. They also don't seem to have any manager type outside checking the work of the cleaners, that's up to the customer to do. Since there's only one cleaner per car, the hand cleaning can be slow (adding to the vehicle pile up that happens outside). Overall, you'll get a good wash at a good price but bring some patience along. read more

I took my Mom to get her car washed on 11/5/20 and it wasn't cleaned properly, we were told her car was too dirty. The owner or manager said we needed to make an appointment! An appointment to get bird poop off and to get dirt out of cracks and crevices! If washing/cleaning cars is your business there is no such thing as too dirty! (my Mom got the deluxe wash). Fabulous! Pros: I drive 'Rideshare' and am always getting my car washed. This place is VERY thorough, does great job vacuuming, does real good on windows and overall love the detail, I drive out of my way at times to get to, passing many other places I've tried before. CON: I wish they offered a monthly membership like most other places. I'm discouraged that the workers look 'dressed down'and 'frumpy ', NOT professional. This was my favorite car wash for years and years. I know they changed management a few years ago. Now it looks like they have changed the crew as well. I went today, around 10AM and I was extremely disappointed. The car wash is split into two crews, the back crew and the front crew. The back crew gets the car wash started, vacuuming and scrubbing wheels. The front crew does the hand wipe down and tire shine. it is the front crew that I have a problem with. As soon as they finish, they let you know, and they are practically standing there with their hands out waiting for a tip. I usually always give a tip, I have no problem with a tip for good service. As I walked towards my car, I told the guy that wiped my car down that I wanted to look at my car before I tipped him. I walk over and there is so much brake dust on the front wheels. Especially up in the lug nut area. I asked him was he going to wipe the wheels again. He told me it would be $40.00 more for him to clean my wheels correctly. I was totally taken back by this statement. I spent $24.00 today, because I did give the back crew a tip, and had to come home and clean my own wheels. I attached a pic of the paper towels I cleaned the wheels with. This summer I will be cleaning my own car, apparently I have to clean it, even when I pay someone else too. read more

They have staff that wipes down your car after it goes through the wash, which is nice. The problem is that those employees are extremely slow! They take like 30 minutes to wipe down a vehicle, basically standing around doing nothing the majority of that time. I pulled in with 3 cars in line , and it took over an hour before I got out of there. It would have taken longer had I allowed them to wipe the car down after the wash. They had 4 or 5 people wiping down cars. I said something to the manager about it being so slow, and she said that they employees don't listen to her. Bottom line - car gets clean, and it will take over an hour even with just a couple cars in line. read more

I'm definitely a fan of Eastern Car Wash. This is the only car wash I've frequented since moving back to the B-more area because I love the quality work for an unbeatable price. I am a little spoiled being a previous San Diego resident where the car washes out there are second to none however, I think I can say that Eastern is my go-to here in B-more. The process is simple and straight-forward. All you do is drive up until you reach the stop sign, get out (leave your car running) and tell the car wash service rep what wash you're looking to get. He will give you a ticket to take inside for payment and make sure your ride gets vacuumed out and will then send your car through the auto washing system where it's totally viewable from inside of the building through glass. After your car comes out, it is hand dried and detailed by the staff that's waiting outside. The reason I will not give this place 5-stars is due to possible accident concerns during peak hours when the lines reach out to Eastern Ave. There's definitely a chance of getting rear ended on Eastern Ave if you happen to encounter an A-hole that isn't paying attention to the road. Overall, for 20 bucks, you really are getting a great wash. I recommend this place for anyone who feels lazy to wash your own whip and want someone else to do it! read more

With less driving of late, I've not been going there often, but thought nothing of going there for my recent car wash. Disappointed to say the least. Figured something was up when my car was finished in 5 minutes for the Deluxe package. Dash was not even wiped down. The console was still dirty and numerous other infractions. They didn't properly clean everything, broke something in my car, told me it wasn't their fault and that it may have been broken from beforehand. The owner came out and looked at it and avoided me afterwards, he expected me to leave without getting any help, so I went inside to confront his wife but they were being unprofessional. The employee that broke it went on break and never told me something was wrong before he left so I asked them to return my money but the owners did not want to be accountable and said I should wait for the guy to come back to confront him and ask him for the money. High quality car wash at an excellent price. The wash options range from $12-17 for basic (depending on the size of your car) to $20-25 for a premium wash with Rain-X and tire shine. All washes are full service and come with an interior vacuum of the seats and floor mats, hand drying, and interior/exterior window cleaning. Unfortunately there are signs indicating they do not vacuum the trunk or rear of SUVs/trucks, although the attendant at the end told me they would vacuum it if asked. They do a very thorough job and the entire wash/cleaning takes about 30-40 minutes so make sure you have time. The car came out extremely clean on both the interior and exterior. This is a great local business that cares about giving their customers good service at a reasonable price. They are not looking to sign every customer up for expensive monthly plans or selling other overpriced services. Sadly the same cannot be said of Canton Car Wash. After going here, I will never pay twice as much for an inferior wash at Canton Car Wash. read more
