BEWARE OF VALVOLINE!!!!! I took My 2012 Volkswagen Jetta for an Oil Change on 01/16/2026 at the…read moreOwings Mills Location. They did the oil change and 2 days later I noticed Oil Spills on my driveway underneath the vehicle, I went to my Shop (Certified) that works on my vehicle and they determined that they installed the Oil filter Wrong and that the oil pressure sensor and oil filter housing was also damaged due to the Oil Change service. I went back to the location in Owings Mills location and spoke to the Location Manager who told me to put a claim to their headquarters. I filed the claim and meanwhile my vehicle was not drivable and had to be towed to a shop. After the diagnostic by a certified mechanic it was determined that due to the oil change not being done correctly the Oil pressure Sensor, Oil Filter housing was damaged and needed to be repaired and this would destroy my motor. I submitted the mechanic's diagnostic report plus pictures taken from my driveway and I got one phone call back that the received my claim and I should hear back from them. It's been 3 days now and after calling them they claimed the vehicle had leaks before and that they wouldn't pay for the repairs but will refund me the oil change amount. I asked to speak with someone to discuss the grounds of why they determined that and they told me I would hear back from a district manager who has yet to reach me, they NEVER call, nor email. This HAS been a very unprofessional experience from a big company. PLEASE Pay extra attention if you use their services for oil change or anything because they don't take responsibilities of any claims and am no left with a DAMAGED vehicle that I have to pay for a Large BILL due to their FAULT... BECAREFUL!!!

There were all sorts of scams and unnecessary repairs including: 1. Leading Edge replaced the front brakes at 119k miles and then again at 130k miles. Brakes again after 11k!! Front brakes should last at least 40k miles, usually more like 60-70k. 2. Leading Edge replaced the lower control arms at 116k and again at 146k. Control arm bushings last at least 100k miles. If you need control arms again at 30k, either the parts were junk or the alignment wasn't done right. 3. Leading Edge charged labor to replace both the serpentine belt and the alternator. You have to remove the belt to remove the alternator, so an honest shop wouldn't charge for the belt when doing the alternator. To charge full price for both is outrageous. 4. Leading Edge charged $250 to replace the radiator and $174 to replace the radiator hoses. You have to remove the hoses to replace the radiator. Here again, it's a rip off to charge labor for both. 5. Leading Edge charged $475 labor (just labor!!) to install tires, clean the beads, and replace one TPMS. $60-120 is typical at most shops for all this work, especially if you are buying tires from them. $475 for tire installation is probably the most outrageous repair scam I've ever seen.

    Jiffy Lube

Zero stars if I could…read more On Saturday, we brought a federal government fleet vehicle to this Jiffy Lube location on York Road for a routine oil change. The service receipt listed Kai and Darryl B as the technicians. Monday morning, while turning onto FDA Boulevard en route to Silver Spring ( nearly an hour away), the vehicle experienced a critical failure. Multiple warning lights illuminated simultaneously, and the engine began to smoke. Upon inspection, the vehicle was found to be completely out of oil. This created an immediate safety hazard and left us stranded roadside. We were forced to coordinate alternate transportation via another fleet vehicle to reach our destination, and ultimately had to obtain a loaner vehicle due to the condition of the van. This incident reflects a serious failure in basic service execution and raises significant concerns regarding whether the oil change was properly completed at all. The level of negligence involved placed occupants at risk and could have resulted in severe engine damage. This experience demonstrates a complete lack of quality control and regard for customer safety. I strongly caution others against trusting this location with their vehicle. This matter is being documented and may be escalated further due to the potential liability and safety implications involved.

This is what I get when I bring my vehicles to Jiffy Lube for oil changes. Jiffy Lube doesn't require an appointment. A lot of the time I base my visits on driving by and seeing there isn't a line. Usually I am in and out in less than 30 minutes. Jiffy Lube changes my oil, lets me know what else they may have noticed during the change but don't really try to sell me things I wasn't planning on when I came in. This is a far cry from other quick oil change places I've visited in the past. Price wise, Jiffy Lube seems comparable to other businesses in the area that specialize in fast oil changes. I will continue to visit this place for my oil change needs until they give me a reason not to.
