The price was high but the truck looked to be in good condition based on pictures. The truck had close to 200k miles on it so I wanted to get it checked out by a reputable diesel mechanic. I gave them a deposit to hold the truck and I proceeded to look for the closest shop that could do the inspection. My wife and I called Gresham Ford dealership 3 times without a call back. I ended up scheduling the pre-purchase inspection for for the following Tuesday at 9:45AM at Landmark Ford only 20 miles away. I immediately notified the salesman, Brett, of the scheduled inspection, time, day and location. The salesman offered to drop it off the night before the inspection. Zero issues with date, time, and location was communicated to me at that time. Fast forward 1 week to the evening before the inspection and the salesman conveniently notified me that they would not be able to take the truck in due to "insurance" reasons. But offered to take it to a mechanic that they found. Conflict of interest? I disagreed with the way the situation was handled and the extremely late notice. I requested my $500 deposit back which they told me that its been off the market for a week and its not refundable. The CL ad was up and unchanged the entire time, so it wasnt off the market. Then the manager called me over the phone, and treated me very disrespectfully. I was attempting to explain the situation and he told me to "spit it out" and that "I guess you cant afford the truck". If you are looking for an honest place to do business, with respectful people, look elsewhere.

Blue Dog Rv - Troutdale

Portland Blue Dog RV 6016 SE 111th Ave…read morePortland, OR 97266 We live near Chehalis, WA . I do not know why the review says, Cottonwood, CA Trailer: NEW 2019 FR Surveyor My experience with Blue Dog RV started with a salesman, Keith, in Kennewick. Everything went good and we were happy. We bought the trailer on August 2, 2019 and returned to Kennewick, WA to pick it up on August 19, 2019 after our vacation. At the dealership, the trailer had an accident where someone left the bathroom door open when they ran the slide in and collided with the BR door. This was the Kennewick's dealership accident and they told my husband and I that they had ordered the new frame part (it was the left vertical part of the frame) on August 2. It seemed to be an easy fix. We did not live anywhere near Kennewick so we asked them to send it to the Portland dealer (we are about an hour and a half from them) which they did. I called the dealer's service area on August 27 and left a message asking for an appt to get this done if the part came in. The service advisor called me back on August 28 and we worked out an appt on September 6th at 9:30 am for the fix. During this time, I sat in the trailer at home to see if I had missed anything in the walkthrough and there were some items that came to my attention. We were told adamantly that we could not fix anything or it voids the warranty so we touched nothing!!! 1. The cook stove's top was on backward (it looked like it was warped) 2. One of the struts for lifting our bed was stapled to a piece of wood that they had also stapled to the bed. I was told that they screwed both struts in the wood so they would work right. 3. 4 of our kitchen drawers would fall out when we were driving. They would not latch right. We were told they were not put in right. 4. The screen door was not latching right. They are supposed to fix it. 5. The bathroom door which was damaged with the slide-out accident was crooked. I wanted it fixed. 6. On the right side of the slide-out, I saw the carpet was all bunched up on the floor. They found out it was not tacked to the floor. 7. When I was sitting at the table and looked at the area where the door hit the frame, the frame looked warped. I want it fixed 8. The frame part damaged fixed. They set up some new work orders for these 8 items and my understanding is that they are all done except for #8 which was the original work order for September 6. The first seven were done in 6 days per Wanda Ensworth's communication. I called the Service Advisor, Wanda Ensworth, on September 12th, she had told me that everything was done BUT not the frame. Now comes the but---um---um talk from her. Kennewick ordered the wrong part (a horizontal part for the top) when I needed the left vertical part. I asked when the part will be in and her answer was iffy, I don't know if it has been ordered yet, while I heard shuffling of paperwork. I am not to sure she knows what she is doing. When you schedule an appt, the shop should be working on the item you had scheduled it for (the frame). Plus if the part is damaged, stolen or wrong part, then you should have told me, the customer, not to come down. (round trip of 3 hours in traffic on 205) We had an appt on September 6th to get that fixed so in my brain as a former Program Assistant, you would order it immediately to replace the wrong one once you saw it when you were doing the scheduled appt. RIGHT???? That is how a business is run to keep your customers happy. As you can see, WE ARE NOT HAPPY AND IT LOOKS LIKE MANY OF YOUR CUSTOMERS ARE NOT HAPPY FROM ALL THE REVIEWS. We left it down there so they could get everything done that needed to be done but since we own the trailer we should have been told what was going on regularly and not trying to find a way to contact you. The whole website information is a joke. You call one number but can't get the service dept. They only had 2 numbers Sales and If you know the Extension. On October 1, I called 3 times, October 2, I called 6 times, once I got a person in Troutdale who gave me an extension that went to someone's message asking for someone to contact me. Didn't happen!!! My last phone call was bitchy and had much irritation in my voice and I asked for a manager to call me. I waited all day yesterday and called again today. Apparently, the number was sent to Kennewick and I talked to the operator and she said she would find someone and get back to me when she can as she did not know anyone from the Portland dealers. When you get the phone number that is on the website, it will be a crapshoot from the start. Lousy website!!!!!!!! And Customer Service!!!!!! From the other reviews, I see this is normal for Blue Dog RV. To date, BLUE DOG RV of Portland has had our Trailer 28 days and we have been waiting for the part for 22 days now. That is 3 weeks for a part that can be shipped expedited shipping as you have a customer waiting for it.

No such thing as "we come to you". A flat out lie that cost me $3,500.00. Nothing but problems, a slew of them, and for 8 months have been trying to get these people to fix my coach to which I've been told repeatedly to "bring it into the shop". Before I bought the coach, I told them I was disabled and was going to live in it. If anything was to go wrong I wouldn't be able to bring it to them. That's when the lie started about the extended warranty. Luckily I had 2 family members with me who witnessed it. The service department needs a new name: "Won't Return Your Calls or Emails Department" So it's only been 8 months and I : Have no water. Leaks in the roof and system. Have no heat or air conditioning. The system turns on BOTH and won't shut down for about 15 minutes after you try to turn it off. No way to cook. Propane lines have leaked since day one. Refrigerator and freezer handles broke the first month. No replacements so far. The rear levelers will not function in hot weather. Surround sound system has never worked from day one. Black tank will not drain. Even though there is nothing in my gray tank...the on board system says it's 3/4 full. Fireplace frame is coming out. The ONLY thing that works is the electricity. Man, that's a LOT of money ($39,000.00) for 4 walls and electricity. Oregon Attorney General here I come. Avoid these people like the plague.

From the moment he arrived, Hank made the interaction uncomfortable. He threw out his credentials, acting like an authority, yet showed little interest in the actual RV. He didn't ask any basic operational questions--like whether the slide-outs worked--and seemed more focused on control than on information. He offered us well below what we were asking for, then demanded personal documents even after we explained that the bank would be handling all DMV paperwork. When we declined, he became aggressive, cursed at us, and called me a "dumb redneck hick." This wasn't just rude--it was unprofessional, offensive, and totally unnecessary. If this is the kind of "expertise" Hank brings to the table, I'd stay far away. Absolutely not someone I'd trust in any sale or negotiation.

I found an RV on RV Trader at Auto Resource. I couldn't get it out of my mind. I live in SoCal and…read morethey are in Oregon so I called to inquire about it and talked to Brett. He said it was in amazing shape for a 20 year old Lazy Daze and we scheduled a facetime call for the next day. He didn't call the next day but did the day after and apologized for missing our appointment. No problem. Our facetime was good, I saw the RV. He showed me everything I asked to see. I had a good feeling so I asked if I could schedule an inspector to check it out. He said yes. I found an inspector but they couldn't get out there for 3 weeks. I asked if they could hold it for me if I put a small refundable deposit down. He again said yes. Sent me an invoice for $500 and I asked if he could put the refundable policy on it since it didn't say it anywhere. This time he said if there's anything the inspector finds that they can't fix, I can get it refunded. Not the same as before but something I can get behind. I agreed and paid the deposit with that stipulation on it. I also talked them down on the price by $5000. The inspector found a small list of minor to moderate repairs and Brett said they would fix all of them which included resealing the roof, new house batteries, fix one of the auto levelers, reseal the windows, patch a small hole in the side, fix a vent fan, get a new tv and the driver side door lock. They got to work and then even waited for my house to close escrow so I could pay cash. I called Brett once a week just to check in and we'd have a chat about each of our processes. One week, Portland had a big snow storm and they had more snow than they'd had in years and the roof of their auto shop caved in from the weight and totaled the building. Luckily my RV wasn't in there. Brett sent me pictures of the damage to their shop and pics of my RV showing it was fine. Whew! They sent my rig to another shop to finish the repairs and my escrow closed. I flew to Portland and they had an Uber waiting for me. Unfortunately Brett was sent to Salem to manage the new space they got and I didn't get to meet him in person. When I showed up in the uber at the old space, there were 5 guys standing there in front of my RV ready to help. Their technician showed me all the buttons and compartments. Seemed a little rushed and not very detailed. I asked to see the roof and couple other things and he seemed a little put off. I felt a bit rushed to get it all over with and give them the money so they could leave or something. In all the stuff I was doing over the last month, I didn't think to get a cashier's check but I had a card and a personal check. They wouldn't take those so the owner drove me to the bank to get a certified one. He was patient and friendly but the other guys were clearly annoyed. The purchase process was a little stressful but part of that was me. I did a lot of research and understand salespeople and the business end of things being a business owner myself. I also have an understanding of people and I look out for myself. I have a pretty good bullshit detector. These guys will do right if you ask, but they'll get away with what they can. There were a couple things they said they would fix that weren't. The windows weren't resealed and the Tv was still missing. I asked about everything not done and they didn't think the windows needed it. I partly agree. The owner went to Best Buy and bought a new TV while I was there and put it in the closet, which was nice. I'm sure there was also some confusion because of the building crashing in, Brett wasn't there to finish our transaction and these guys were new to me. The leveling jack is still broken and the door lock works but the button panel kept popping out. Overall, I'm very happy with my RV. And my experience with Auto Resource was good. Brett was great, accommodating and helpful. Always answered when I called and I'm kinda bummed I didn't get to meet him in person after over a month of talking with him. The owner was great as well but the other couple guys had some bad juju. I would recommend Brett at Auto Resource. He really came through for me on this purchase and I appreciate that. Thanks Brett!

What should have remained a new RV has instead become a materially compromised unit due to negligent handling and repeated service-related issues while at their facility. Problems began during the walkthrough due to improper handling. Since then, the RV has repeatedly been in and out of service for warranty issues including the door, plumbing, wall panels, and electrical components. A pattern developed where repairs were marked complete when they were not, and additional damage occurred while the RV was being serviced, including flooring and siding damage. This negligent handling of our new unit has negatively affected the value, condition, reliability, and safety of the RV. In one instance, damage was attributed to us until before-and-after video evidence showed it occurred while the RV was in their possession. The RV has also been stored outdoors for months due to ongoing repairs as a result of their negligent care of the new RV, enduring heavy storms while awaiting service, despite us having purchased covered storage to protect our new RV. The RV has been out of our possession for over 40% of the time since purchase, resulting in canceled trips and significant loss of use. Due to repeated service-related damage and incomplete repairs, it no longer reflects the new unit we purchased. We are still awaiting a response from Johnson RV for a fair resolution. We do not recommend this company based on our experience.

This is where our summer vacation began…read more.... We decided to rent an RV and tour the northwest. We have never done anything like this before, NOR driven an RV before. We wanted to rent something as nice as we could...no "cruise america" ads on the side that scared people away. After weeks of research on the internet (which is scary), we found RV Gold. This is a small company owned by Roger Arnell and his large family of 8 children. I corresponded directly with Roger and his daughter, Leslie via cell phone and e-mail. They were always readily available, friendly, and answered all of our questions. One conversation lasted more than an hour. We decided on renting Roger's personal RV, a 2009 40 foot Tiffin Phaeton motorhome. This is NOT an economy trip. This was a luxury motorhome with a washer/dryer, 3 plasmas, granite counter tops, king size bed, 4 slide-outs. We had to leave a relatively large deposit in cash, had to give multiple credit sources, had to sign an 8 page contract, and had to purchase a special insurance binder. This is not for everyone. We both have experience with driving large trucks and trailers; but maneuvering a 40 footer up and down mountains and parking in narrow RV park spaces takes teamwork and patience. You must research RV parks for safety, services and availability. Some of the RV parks were very nice and some not so nice (see future reviews). But the freedom of going from city to city without packing and unpacking was exhilarating. We grilled out in the great outdoors every night (there is a plasma TV outside and grill included). There was a sense of accomplishment when we settled in a different place every night. He enjoyed driving, I enjoyed navigating, and we both felt it was part of an unforgettable trip. RV Gold made that happen. I highly recommend you consider using one of Roger's RVs for your next unique trip around Oregon or Washington. Happy trails!

When it was time to refund the deposit a check was mailed to the wrong address and filled out with the wrong name. All of this finally happened 3 weeks after the rental was complete. I will not use RV Gold again.

Our first interactions with Anni's was great, and they are all nice people. Our issue with them…read morewas the inspection of our trailer we purchased. First, we were very aware that we purchased a used trailer so buyer beware. Totally get that. Our frustration was the final inspection. Supposedly they did a roof inspection. If they did, they need a new process. When we got the trailer home, the first rains, carpets in the dining area and the slide out bedroom rug was wet, very wet. We contacted them because as we dug into the leaks, we discovered 3 windows, after having to remove them, had no butle tape. We informed them at that time. I was told they did not feel a wet rug, particularly in the bedroom. Well, unless you were barefoot or felt the rug, which while cleaning is how I locted the wet rug, you wouldn't have felt that. Well, after reinstalling the windows, we also located 2 holes on the roof about the size of a pencil. Those are significant size holes which allowed a lot of water into the walls. Our issue is, if they did an actual roof inspection, that should have been located. We have since repaired those and now we're trying to dry the walls/roof in hopes of stopping wood rot in two of the 3 locations. We already tore out one wall, dried and rebuilt that area. Hoping to not have to do that to the other location, but that is still a strong possibility. Again, we understand and fully expected some repairs. Our issue, again, is the final inspection or lack of. Because of that, the honesty of this company comes into question, in our view. It's highly possible we would have still purchased anyway. We just would have been aware we were bringing home a project and we would have negotiated a lower selling price. Our recommendation for used trailers, take a moisture meter, we sure wish we would have brought ours.
