Women and minorities in general beware this shop!! We took my wife's Nissan in for an inspection, the technician named Dyson? Performed the inspection. They claimed we needed wiper blades (those were just replaced 30 days ago) claimed all lights were working (rear taillight is out) said our battery voltage was low (battery is less than a year old) claimed the battery terminals were "overly coroded" there was no corrosion on them. Claimed the alignment was good (it is not, we were aware of the need for an alignment) claimed the wrong brand of spark plugs were used to we needed a full tune up. Claimed our ball joints are loose (they were done 2 months ago) they estimated over $3700 in repairs. When we went there to pick up the vehicle we were told there was an $88 diagnostic fee. We were never informed of a fee, we were told "drop it off and we'll give you a call and let you know" We are not informed of a diagnostic fee when we dropped it off. We were not informed of a diagnostic fee when they called to tell us what they found. We've never been charged a fee without prior knowledge.. they tried to hold our keys hostage unless we paid this fee. They were incredibly hostile, rude, and untrustworthy. We had to threaten to call the police to get our keys back. Having a diagnostic fee is fine, but you have to inform people so they can agree to your services prior to rendering services. Overall this was a horrible experience, they tried to take advantage of women thinking we know nothing about cars, they were patronizing and straight lied in their diagnostics report. If you are anything but a straight white man definitely stay away from this shop! And even then I'd be careful and get a second opinion on any work they suggest as they have proven to be underhanded and scammy read more

This is the only place in the area I feel comfortable taking my family's vehicles. We have been customers of Auto Repair Specialists for approximately 14 years and I plan to keep it that way for another 14 years, hopefully longer. Dave, Gina and the rest of the gang are always upfront and honest about what repairs are needed immediately, which ones are needed down the line (this is really helpful for our family's budgeting), and they openly discuss changes within the automotive industry with us. Not only are they kind, friendly, honest and super wonderful within the confines of their business, they are also giving souls within the community. Running a successful small business isn't easy and yet they can do it because of their forward-thinking, their empathy, their community-mindedness and once again, their honesty. I can't recommend Auto Repair Specialists enough and although I rarely give the highest marks when rating a business or service, 5 stars on this one requires no second-guessing. read more

My Kia Rio wouldn't start after 2 weeks staying home because of Covid procedures. I called Auto Repair Specialists to see if they could find out what was wrong and fix it. I called AAA for a tow, ARS found out a couple fuses had blown, and fixed it the next day. With all the new restrictions, they were still able to do a great job at a reasonable price. They even wiped down the car inside and out before returning it! I'm new to the area, but I'll sure be going back to this location for future service.
