I brought my car in for a basic amp and subwoofer install, and left with a broken trunk. Sammy and their so-called "BMW specialist" clearly didn't know what they were doing. After paying $600 (plus a $100 tip I now deeply regret), I discovered my trunk wouldn't even open when I got home. I drove 90 minutes back to have them fix it, only to witness the two employees arguing with each other while I stood there. I have the entire exchange on camera. They didn't fix the issue. Instead, the owner had the audacity to text me taking responsibility--but then tried to push me to another location TWO HOURS away for a "possible" fix. Absolutely not. I ended up taking it to BMW directly, where it cost me $1,100 to properly repair the damage they caused. I initiated a chargeback to cover the BMW repair since I refuse to pay twice for someone else's mistake. I also had to warn the owner that further harassment or slander would be met with legal action. For the record, this is the third time I've tried posting a review--apparently, they've been getting negative reviews deleted. Oh, and before you trust this business, maybe look up the seven liens against it--including one on the owner personally. They present themselves as friendly and professional--until something goes wrong. Then it's blame-shifting, dodging accountability, and trying to sweep things under the rug. Shawn Morrison, the owner, is MECP certified and has over 18 years experience. Think of MECP certification as a Masters Degree in car audio installation and you get the idea. Quality installation is in my opinion more important than the actual gear selected. The best gear installed poorly won't sound good and may be unreliable. A good installer must not only be familiar with many car models, but also good with his hands. I picked Shawn because he was attentive and helpful via email, and because of his MECP certification. I knew my car would be a challenge, because Fiat returned to the US last year, and very few people have attempted to upgrade the factory system. If the factory head unit is replaced and the installation is done incorrectly the odometer will flash. I visited Ground Level Customs on two occasions. The first was to have the speakers upgraded. I provided the speakers (Amazon purchase) and Shawn installed them, adding soundproofing behind the speakers. He did a fantastic job- it looks totally stock. On the second visit he replaced the head unit and factory amplifier, adding a pair of small but powerful amplifiers under the passenger seat. He did a totally awesome job- it looks and sounds amazing and the odometer does not flash. There is no sound room setup where one can touch and listen to the items they sell. Shawn knew the perfect amps for my car after seeing the car and getting a feel for what I was after. For the head unit, I gave Shawn a list of features that I wanted and he told me what units would fit my needs. When all is said and done, the system turned out better than I expected. Shawn did a stunning job, working in an unfamiliar brand and model. His prices are quite reasonable as well. He was able to help me achieve my goals and yet stay within my budget. Went to see him that day, gave me the estimate and told me if I wanted it done same day he was free the remainder of the day. Gave him my keys and got to it. Was in and out in less than 2hrs. Shawn installed my two 10" subs and amp. As I was driving home I noticed a weird humming sound coming from the subs. Unfortunately I had a wedding to attend so I couldn't go back.
