I learned that the locksmith is there 9am-noon daily so I made it there with adequate time for them to assist me. Do you want to do business with someone you'll need to take to court afterwords? If so, Bam! This place is for you! [Long story but worth the read] I brought in my own (aftermarket) blank car key with attached fob and was told it would be $5.00 to cut it and $60.00 to program it. Beats $325.00 at the dealer so yes, of course! So I pay the amount, a tech (who is in a rush because he has an on-site call to get to) cuts and "program" the key. It then starts the car but it quickly shuts down. I go back in the store, let them know, the tech who has already left, returns, fiddles with it, and it then starts and runs just dandy except, none of the function work. He goes on to explain the key is incorrect for that car and I should have it replaced. At this point, I'm somewhat satisfied and he may be right. As soon as I get home, I take out the key, put it back in, start the car and, it shuts down. So I contact the place I purchased the key and as expected, they say it's the correct key. So I return to the store the next day and explained what had happened to the same tech and asked him if could reprogram it since it took just a few seconds the first time. He refuses. He states, "it would be a waste of my time". I remind him his time was only a few seconds and he refuses again and states something to the effect of, "he is a professional and he knows there is no point". Of course, they refused to give me a refund as well. My mistake with this place is nothing anywhere within their store states a refund policy nor does the receipt. So let me ask you, would you want to do business with a company that instead of taking 15 seconds to check their work and satisfy a customer, the prefer to have that customer leave, feeling ripped off? Save yourself the headache and more importantly, your hard earned money. Use any other place but this one. read more

Left two voicemails and no call back. What the heck crap customer service. I was locked out of my car.

I needed to get a new keyless entry remote for my car, as it had gotten run over and smashed. My car is a push button starter and needed the remote to start it. I had a couple of people recommend Bam to me, so I called them. They quoted me $225.00 for the key and they would come program it on site. The next day I called back to schedule an appointment. A different person answered the phone and told me that it would actually be $250.00 for the key. They asked me to email over pictures to confirm it was the correct key- which I did. They gave me a time window of 11-1. I asked them to give me a 30-minute pre call, as I was not in the same city as my car and would have to drive there. 12:30p.m. rolled around and no one had called. I called into their office and the same person answered. She stated that the technician had an emergency call come in that he had to handle before mine, but shouldn't be too long, and would still give me a pre call. As I had been waiting all morning, I proceeded to head to the location where my car was at. At 1:30, there was a knock on the door, and low and behold it was their technician. Good thing I had headed that way without any notice from them as I was 20 minutes away. The technician got there. He had multiple keys that looked like mine and some that didn't. He tried to program them using two different computers. He stated that neither one would communicate with my car, so he had to go back to his shop to pick up a third computer. Why he didn't have everything he needed with him, I have no idea. Almost an hour went by and he never came back. I called their office yet again. They told me that they were waiting on a different technician to get off a call with the third computer, come back to the shop, then my tech could come back with it. My family and some friends were waiting on me as we had made plans for later that afternoon. The tech finally came back with a second tech with him. They attempted again with the third computer and simply stated that they couldn't get it to work. The person I spoke with on the phone assured me that the third computer would work, even though it didn't. The fact that they couldn't get it to program isn't even my main beef. I run a delivery/assembly company. I run their dispatch and am constantly updating my customer about the tech's whereabouts. The lack of communication was what bothered me the most. Bam should take better pride in their customer service. A few phone calls to update the customer can go a long way. read more

Update: So someone from the company responded to my review only to say it must not be their company. Really?Very poor response to an unhappy customer. If I could cut your 1 star in half I would. I'm sad to say I cannot recommend these guys. I called and was very specific about what I needed- a lock picked and a key made. I was told $40 to come out and pick lock then $45 to make a key. I was really happy when a guy showed up in less than 1/2 hour. It went downhill from there. First, the whole visit was overshadowed by his bad habit of speaking condescendingly and calling me sweetheart. Second, he took one look at the lock and let out a big sigh - said he needed special tools to open this brand of lock. That was dramatic since when I made the initial call I was asked what brand the lock was before she could give me a price to pick it. While he was in his truck trying to find his special tools - a co worker showed up who had an extra key & I let him know when he returned that I no longer needed him to pick the lock. Here is my biggest issue: he charged me $85. I tried to argue I should only pay the $40 since he came out but didn't actually do any work. He went back outside and claimed he called the office and they told him he had to charge the full amount. Please do yourself a favor and call Dave's Lock & Key instead. read more

Professional, fast, reasonably priced. I locked my keys in my car, and like most of us are programmed to do, I called Pop-A-Lock. 3.5 HOUR WAIT!!! I remembered seeing Bam's little building on 436, so I called. A professional locksmith was sent to my location in less than 30 minutes. He unlocked my car without a hitch. I'm writing this review, not because I used their service, but because they proved to me that they weren't just trying to take my money. My teenage daughter forgot her key and tried to pick the lock to get in the house. It didn't work and when I got home, my key wouldn't work. I called Bam and spoke with Tim. Instead of just coming out to do whatever they do to get a lock off of a door and charging me the $140, he suggested that I spray the key hole with WD40, to make sure the lock wasn't damaged. So, I did and it worked. I appreciate Tim for suggesting this. I am a single mother and really couldn't afford that extra expense. It did my heart good to know that this local business really cares about the people in this community and aren't just out to get our money. read more

Took my vehicle there on a Saturday morning to get an extra FOB programmed. It wasn't busy at all. The lady I spoke with said to bring it by in the morning for a short wait otherwise to call ahead if arriving towards the afternoon to see how long the wait would be and if someone would be there for the service needed. I was in and out within 20 minutes AND they were able to program an extra FOB for me without any issues. I saved a ton of $$$ and time by bringing it to them instead of the dealer. Happened to be passing this place and decided to pop in and see if they could fix my car remote. Several things impressed me about this business. First of all, all three workers were very friendly and helpful. The identified the problem with my remote quickly and explained patiently what was wrong. They made sure I knew up front what the cost was to replace it AND they had it in stock. All of the other locksmith that I had visited did not have the remote in stock and also would not tell me how much it would cost until I had agreed to have them do it.
