Bought a 2016 BMW 328i with 98,000 miles from AutoKings in Bend OR less than a year ago and I'm $10,000 in repairs completely broke down 2 months ago (about 7 months into owning the car). Diagnosed $380, new computer $2700, new valve cover $2,200, and now a new cam shaft $4200. I actually can't afford the cam shaft after the first two repairs so it's sitting in my drivewa I paid $12,000 plus interest and I'm $10,000 in the hole, and I still owe over $10,000 on the car. I'm crushed and beyond disgusted with Autokings. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. ZERO STARS SHPULD BE AN OPTION. UPDATE-Called a left a message to Austin the owner to call me back and it's been 2 weeks and no phone call back.

Auto Kings in Bend is hands down a five-star spot. I'm 21, and after checking out a few of the bigger dealerships around town, I was pretty used to feeling like I was just being shuffled through a process. Technically "helped," I guess, but not actually listened to. Car buying can feel intimidating at my age, and that definitely didn't make it easier. Walking into Auto Kings felt completely different. Their sales team treated me like a real person from the jump. Everyone I talked to was friendly, patient, and actually paid attention to what I needed instead of trying to push me outside my budget or goals. They answered all my questions without making me feel dumb or rushed, which is rare when you're a younger buyer. The people in both sales and service were just solid humans all around. They helped me stay within my guidelines, made the whole process way smoother than I expected, and genuinely seemed to care about getting me into the right car rather than just any car. If you're tired of the assembly-line vibe you get at some places in town, Auto Kings is a breath of fresh air. Respectful, chill, and honestly just great people. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Better communication with customers. Lack of "reliable" cars in the lots. Bought from them twice - do not recommend whatsoever.

Had to sell my jeep to pay medical bills. They gave me an extremely fair price for it and it was so easy. So grateful for them.

We use to love taking the vehicle in to get worked on. Anymore it is sad we don't take it in because of pricing. It is sad we have gotten to the point where you can't just take your vehicle in cause you don't want to work on it. Of the six items that needed repair their service department looked for reasons to deny rather than fix or even try to replicate the problem. For instance, the factory horn that can be seen thru the front grill on a Wrangler 392 appears to be rusted. Went back and forth with the service advisor on how that's a factory horn and he kept on insisting that its aftermarket. After many times going back and forth, turns out the plastic cover on the factory horn came off and exposed metal - still can't get an answer why this isn't covered under warranty. 2) the vehicle came with half-doors and soft top uppers along with factory full doors (Jeep). The factory soft top upper doors began leaking and leaving about 1-2 inches of water on the driver and passenger floorboard. First the service department claimed it's not covered under warranty because I installed a rack on the back half of the vehicle. When I pushed back, because the leaks were coming from the front, they pivoted to say the tops were aftermarket and Chrysler would not cover after market parts. Had to go back and forth again with the service writer. First he said he couldn't see the jeep came with those doors from the factory. Then he said they are not OEM. Upon pressing, he miraculously noticed the Chrysler emblem on the corner of the vinyl window. Pretty obviously you ask me. 3) alternator not charging battery. Service response was that because I added after market lights to vehicle, the can't diagnose and troubleshoot. 4) transfer case not engaging front axle housing. Known problem in the 392. Supposedly they found metal shavings in the oil. When I called bull they pivoted and said it's due to my aftermarket axles and Chrysler will not cover them. I call bull specifically because when the Jeep would not engage the front axle, I changed the oil and it was filthy dirty indicating a problem with the problematic clutch plates. The dealership didn't check the oil! I call bull. The vehicle was never driven with the new oil. A few more issues but I won't bother. I have never experienced such terrible service from a dealership. I would have expected them to be on the side of the consumer. I will NEVER bring my jeep back to this dealership in Bend. They lost a customer for purchases AND for service.

He was responsive, kind, and I felt like he really put an effort to get me a deal I was okay with, he even drove it from bend to Hillsboro. The issues started with the lack of effective communication when it came to getting a new title, registration, and DEQ testing. It's a very complex situation that has the Oregon DMV confused about everything, during which time I got less then stellar customer service from management. With significant (to me at least) unexpected fees popping, and after exchanging some emails, where admittedly I let my financial frustrations (along with some very strong curse words) get the best of me (I'm sorry!), I was reimbursed for most of the fees that incurred. Overall* I would recommend* buying from this dealership, they are fair in making deals, and you have a lot of freedom in negotiating a deal. ** buy local if you can, distance purchases, as it turns out, suck because different counties and/or states have different requirements, which although I knew, didn't think it was going to be much of a problem, they're professionals, they should know AND tell you about it, but sometimes, they don't. ***ASK ALL THE QUESTIONS. My situation seems like it was a lack of communication on BOTH SIDES, I didn't know what questions to ask, and they didn't know what I didn't understand. I would have much rather been on the same page as them, than having to fight for a reimbursement for fees.

That said I still needed a local parts and service department for the future, so wanted to create a relationship with parts and service. Accordingly I called parts and introduced myself to Frank the Service Mangr. Even tho I did not purchase my Honda Passport there , he was cordial polite and professional, and told me he'd be there for and parts I needed and would introduce me to the service dept folks. Today I went and purchased OEM running boards for my rig and he gave me a military discount and personally walked me over to meet Joel to arrange the service and installment of the running boards. Again Joel was a real pro and got the car in this morning and I picked it up about 3 hrs later and love the look. Sales.... I was not impressed, but Frank in parts and Joel in service knocked it out of the park. I went in with full intentions to buy a car, and fully understanding the car buying experience isn't what it used to be. The art of negotiations is done. So I just did what I always do when buying a car say hey "I am a Marine Corps veteran can you work that into the conversation with you manager to get a better deal." The response I got was pretty shocking to me and should make any veteran considering buying a car from this dealership take a step back and go somewhere else. I was going to buy this car regardless of receiving a veteran discount or not. The worst you can do is not try to save a little. But the response just didnt sit right with me. I was told that unless I severed 20+ years or discharged from the military with the last 2 years, they would consider that for a discount. Now I am not a 2 year service member nor was I a weekend warrior. I served 10 years with the full intention of doing 20 years. I deployed with 2 tours in combat zones! I sacrificed my body for this country and was given a full medical retirement after 10 years! But just to be told by a major business in the local community that my service didnt matter to them. This is absurd veteran status is veteran status. Doesn't matter when I was discharged nor is it any of your damn business if I served 40 years or 2 years. You dont know what a service member has been through. And companies like this should be ashamed by not giving the 1% something as simple as a military discount. You have completely lost my business. I will never buy a car from you or your affiliate dealerships, and I hope veterans read this and see this is just wrong!

Please consider before getting work done at Team Kia of Bend…read more We took our 2016 Kia Sorento to Team Kia of Bend for maintenance. We spent $1,600 on some simple repairs, including an oil change, replacing filters, and repairing the seat heater. After picking up the vehicle, we drove only about five miles before the engine failed. We had the vehicle towed back to the dealership because we believed the issue might be related to the service that had just been completed. Initially, Team Kia of Bend told us that this type of engine failure is common on these vehicles and attempted to have the repair covered under Kia's engine recall program. When Kia Corporate denied the claim, the dealership changed its explanation and told us the engine failure was the result of years of inadequate maintenance on our part. We understand that engines can fail and that no vehicle lasts forever. However, our Sorento had only 120,000 miles, had been a reliable vehicle up to this time. The timing of the engine failure--just five miles after the dealership completed the service--makes this situation extremely difficult to accept. To make matters worse, Team Kia of Bend has informed us that they intend to sell our vehicle through a lien sale unless we pay an additional $400 in charges. After already spending $1,600 on service and now losing a vehicle that was running when we brought it in, this has been an incredibly disappointing experience. What made it even worse was how we were treated by Team Kia of Bend. The service manager was dismissive, rude, and made us feel as though our concerns were a joke. We are not looking for special treatment--only fairness, accountability, and consistent communication.
