First off...this location looks different from a "normal car lot". Its located off Vernon in Roseville. It basically looks like a house/ tent, turned into an office with couches. Great set of guys, but it's really all about the $$. But isn't it always? Their ad on multiple sites, mention they work on whatever type of credit, job status or financial predicament your in, but not really. So their ad is misleading. It's all about the $$ or Financing. If you don't have it, they won't assist in getting what you desire. Period. Synopsis; I wanted an older model BMW, Z-3, but (They) couldn't work around it, or finance an older car, and they couldn't assist me in THAT purchase. I bought a 2005 Hummer at this dealer. On my way out they handed me parts and told me if I ever smog it to put these pieces on. Within a few months the engine blew. I had to replace it $6000. I come to find out that the reason the vehicle didn't warn me about the engine is because these shady guys drilled out the idiot light so it wouldn't come on. That is how they got it smogged. I sold the vehicle for a fraction of what I paid for it and the guy who bought it paid over $2600 to smog it due to what Auto King had done to it to get it smogged illegally. Scammers. I bought a car at market value for the condition they stated it was in. They showed me mechanics papers that said that everything on the car was fine, and that it only had minor issues that their mechanic "fixed". I test drove the vehicle, sounded fine, looked great (freshly detailed), and trusted that these guys were honest people. This is the last time I trust the snakes that are trying to sell me cars, because these people are just that, snakes. I paid $14,000 for this car, and immediately after driving it 2 hours back to my house, I took it to my mechanic, and he told me that I should've just bought a different car. My mechanic and I are friends, so he discounted me $500 and my bill with him was still $2000. This car at any other mechanic would've costed me $2500 to get in mostly working condition. And guess what, $2000 later, and my car still doesn't completely work. It still needs a new motor for the window that died right after I bought it, and it needs new bearings for one or more of the belt drivers. I don't have much issue with having to pay a bit of money on a used car to get it in tip top condition, but over 2 grand? Heavily discounted and still 2 grand to get the car safe to drive? Oh yeah, that's another thing, they sold me a car that's unsafe to drive. That is why I am making this review now. This car was very clearly in poor condition, it had a crushed section exhaust pipe near the muffler, missing bolts, and a tie rod wasn't even connected to the broken left control arm for the steering. There were many more issues with the car, including modifications that did not fit the car, but the last one I listed about the control arm made the car unsafe, meaning I could've died while driving this car. My mechanic wouldn't let me take my car back from him until this was fixed because if I had so much as went over a pothole or a speed bump too fast, the left wheel would've went under my car flat and my car would've flipped. This dealership had a "mechanic" look at these issues before, and they gave me printed papers saying that everything was fine! They know exactly what they did, and they knew how shitty what they did was. I could've died, but it doesnt matter to them because they're just flipping auctioned cars. They don't care about you, they don't care about the thousands of dollars you'll be spending on the car to get it working, and you shouldn't give in to their smooth talking. Want to know how they responded 6 days later when I told them about these issues? 6 days after driving my car off the lot I gave them a list of issues (This was before the car was even done being fully inspected). They blamed it on me. "Well we don't know what you did with the car in the 6 days you've had it". I literally only logged the miles from Roseville back to my home in Modesto, and then to the mechanic, but apparently in that amount of time I've been able to drive the car so much and so harshly that I've broken several bolts out, crushed a section of exhaust pipe, broken my control arm and corresponding tie rod, worn out belts and the pulleys that drive them, worn out the fuel injectors, brakes, installed smaller than required radiator hoses, caused oil leaks in multiple spots, and a few more things that I honestly can't bother to remember over all of the BS I've had to deal with. Several calls after, all they did was blame all of the issues on me because "their mechanic" checked it out and said all is well. All they did was blame me and demand proof that it was that way when I drove it off of the lot. They got so mad that they started to yell at me, angrily blaming me and calling them out for being the snakes that they are. Do not let these men take advantage of you, do not fall into their smooth talking, do not trust their "mechanic". Their mechanic is probably a family member or somebody that's in the loop, profiting off of tricking people like us. Do not buy from these people. Photos are from my mechanic. read more

So I went to this dealership since they said they could help me in my time of need. I had an electric car with a range of 88 miles and needed to get to so cal. So they sold me a Ford focus. Little did I know that once I corrected the tires (the put the fronts at 50 and the backs at 12) that all of a sudden I'd have nothing but transmission issues. Tried to take it back less than 12 hours and they wouldn't help me. Meanwhile while I am still continuing to hear back from them on how they plan on fixing this crap car they sold me, the relative I was going to go visit ends up dying. So thank you auto king. A lot of promises. Never received what I was promised. And also either the shop they are working with is printing invoices for them a saying they "fixed" a problem or the shop is ripping them off. They also let me buy an unsafe car with baled tires and illegal worn out breaks. Said they would call me back to have that fixed. But I never heard back. Oh! And also, they where trying to hold my registration saying that I still owed that because they payed for the newer year. I didn't end up paying because I knew they where trying to scam me. They told me ttO "leave a good review" and they won't charge me. Well I never left a review until now that I i realized they never replaced the valve cover gasket for my car even though they have an invoice saying they did. I got a car from them, few days later, clutch was bad, within a month brakes were bad that it broke rotor. Don't fall for the BS, most of what they have, have issues nicely hidden. Didn't even cover the repairs for clutch. Had to pay outta pocket. Few months down the road because of my stupidity I didn't check what I signed cause they act like nice cool guys sure of course to make you buy, found out I didn't even have the car at sticker price. $3500 sticker, $800 down, should be at least a $2700 loan right? Or the very least $3500 when I checked the contract it was a $5000 loan, what a big fathering rip off yea? But its cool I learn, and they get the 1star. read more

Unfortunately, we were not as careful buying a car as we should have been....hopefully our mistakes can help someone else avoid a bad deal. We were sold a TOTAL lemon. The car had just about every quick, cover-up repair done to it you can think of (and maybe more we haven't discovered yet). Within a few hours of taking it home, the alternator went out. The guys were really nice about it and had us go to their mechanic to get it fixed, although in hindsite, it was probably because our financing was still in process and we could have backed out of it.... Their mechanic took OVER A WEEK to fix it, and he DOESNT SPEAK ENGLISH. Because of this, we spent about four hours that week driving back and forth. After we got it back, the check engine light went BACK ON as we were driving home. Got the code tested & were told our catalytic converter is bad. And, on this car, it's a 3-4k repair. After we've been driving the car for, basically, 2 days. The dealer, Kevin, told us he drove the car for a month. He told us it was a great car. He's a car dealer. And he DIDNT know about any of this??? (Side note: isn't it no longer an "as is" sale once the dealer starts making claims about the car?) He replied below and claims he encouraged us to have the car checked. Nope. He says he had a mechanic fix our stuff. Nope. He had a mechanic who didn't speak english do cover-up fixes. What Kevin did was sold us a total lemon. The second time we took the car in for the catalytic converter it took them THREE WEEKS. And it DID NOT get fixed. And then the check brake lights came on and it turns out it needs new brakes AND ROTORS. All this on a car the owner claims he drove for a month before he sold it. So, it seems to me they either knew they were selling us a piece of poop OR they don't know a thing about cars and just basically are a funnel from the auctions without doing any checks or work on the cars. OH, and Kevin mentions they offer a warantee? Yeah, it covered NONE of these issues. It's a power train warantee. This, of course, is a HUGE lesson............ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS get a used car checked by an independent mechanic before you buy it. NEVER trust a used car dealer to sell you a safe, reliable car. Based on the quick fix their mechanic tried to make to the O2 sensor, I suspect they tried to do lots of cosmetic, quick fixes that only lasted till after the ink was dry on the contract. Oh well.........lesson learned. And once we sink a few thousand more into this car, HOPEFULLY we'll have a good car. Edit to add: AND THE RADIATOR WENT OUT Edit again to add: while working on the radiator, our mechanic showed us how they just chugged some kind of sealant in to the system to get it to appear to be ok, but it's costing us hundreds and hundreds to get THAT issue fixed now. To sum up: They sold us a car with a bad alternator, bad rotors, a bad catalytic converter, and a bad radiator. The car had loads of work done to try to cover up these issues. The owners are now publicly lying about all of this. YAY. (We also had to replace the tires too....) Just stay away. read more

I recently bought a 2007 Dodge Charger RT from this dealership (less than 3 months ago) and it was something that has come to be an expensive purchase. The reason for that is that I had to replace the radiator 3 weeks into my purchase because it was cracked. That's not even the worse part the other thing with this is that they had supposedly changed the tires on my car to some used ones but in reality all they did was clean up the tires so well that they looked good. I had to spend 500 on new tires. The other messed up part of the car is that the battery died after 2 weeks of use which at first wasn't a big deal for me but when the radiator had to be replaced it made me start to wonder what else was wrong. The most recent thing I just had to deal with is having to replace my piston heads because they didn't work and did not have any pressure on it. That's an expensive part to replace because that part ranges from 300+ because this engine is very expensive to fix. The part that made me the most mad is that when I had went to look at the car they showed me paper work of the so called done professional work to the car and had it "inspected". That was a total joke because I brought my mechanic over to take a look at the pistons but when he was changing and inspecting the spark plugs they hadn't been changed in a while because they are black and looking pretty ugly. The mechanic I brought over told me that they only changed the front ones because the back spark plugs are difficult to take out if the person is an amateur. I hope everyone gets a chance to look for other dealerships before choosing this one otherwise the problems that I am facing could happen to you. Overall this was a very disappointment purchase because of all the issues that I had to deal with that could've been avoided if they had ACTUALLY INSPECTED THE CAR like they said that they did. read more

Leaving the lot my tire light came on them 3 days later the brakes began to squeak...only to find out I needed rotors and new brakes. They gave me $180 to help with the repair of the front and back brakes and rotors on a Mercedes CLS 550. Now my battery light is on and I have had the battery and alternator checked only to find it is an electrical problem. They will not call back and said you bought it as is . I am lost and without reliable transportation. Worst dealer ever. Avoid purchasing your car here unless you have money to throw away I didn't and still don't. I bought a car from them and the cars fuel was on empty, at 1st I didn't think anything of it until I filled up an immediately smelt gas inside and outside the car. Check engine light came on 2days after purchase an the code read evap leak.. I changed the gas cap an had light turned off. 200 miles later, the light came back on for the same reason.. I refilled tank an noticed a fuel leak under the car. Long story short they sold me a car with a dysfunctional gas tank and it'll cost me more than 800 to fix.. Before buying a vehicle from here I strongly advise a full service and inspection an not the one they provide for u.. The vehicles are nice but don't let that fool you.
