All of a sudden there was an alert on the carfax from months ago that the frame was damaged and unsafe. How did they hide that information on carfax? They legally couldn't sell the vehicle without notifying us about this issue. Turns out they're hiding this information from public eye until the vehicle is being purchased. Bought a car, and had problems a couple weeks later. Spent over 5 grand to fix the car, and missed several days from work. They ignored me after providing proof of how much we spent on the repairs after they asked. The deal was extremely high pressure, and I was told I could not back out during it when California state law is 2 business days. I wish I would have backed out then even if I lost my down payment which I'm seeing online is against the law if you didn't drive off in it. On January 1st of this year, I bought a 2020 Mazda CX5 from their dealership and sold my 2012 Volkswagen Beetle, which had only a little over 68,000 miles, to them. The owner, an immigrant from Iran named Payam Herischian, initially deceived me with his sincere and friendly service attitude, which gradually clouded my judgment about the information he provided. As a result, I sold my car to him for more than $2,000 below the market price. He was extremely greedy and even cheated me out of several hundred dollars more through two different versions of the contract documents. Throughout the transaction, he misled me using information from some car valuation websites, claiming that my car had depreciated and that he needed to spend over a thousand dollars to refurbish it, estimating that it wouldn't sell for more than $8,000. However, yesterday I suddenly found online that my car was listed for $11,495, which clearly confirmed that this transaction was a well-planned scam by him! The day after the purchase, I already noticed some issues with the fee terms on the contract. When I tried to contact him, he refused to communicate and blocked my phone number. Fortunately, I had recorded the entire transaction process as evidence, so I will provide all the evidence I have collected to the complaint department to report this unscrupulous merchant and prevent him from deceiving other consumers. I am fully prepared to take legal action to protect my legitimate rights and interests. My daughter's car got crushed from behind on the freeway. Ugh!! She was in direct need of some wheels as she works 2 jobs and is finishing her masters program. She set a budget at $15k or below and we started shopping. You know how it is to call used car lots...I always expect the salesperson to be less than honest. (Based on past experiences in my younger years) I spoke with a kid named Elijah at Armani Motors. He was friendly and happened to have a car we were interested in on his lot. I told him we would be in on Saturday for a test drive, but I requested that he check the car for cigarette smell so I didn't waste the 2.5 hour drive. He walked out to the car, gave it the smell test, and took a short video of the car inside and out then sent it to me. Above and beyond and a good way to gain my business. I assured him I would be there Saturday morning. I next received an email in which he had made an appointment for me with a time assigned. I did not accept the appointment as I did not request one, and could not guarantee my arrival time. The next day, Friday, he sent me a new email with another appointment assigned to me. Again I did not respond to it. He called me and I told him we would be there some time Saturday morning. Saturday morning and we are 2 hours into our drive toward the lot and I get a text message asking if I'm going to come in for an appointment. Maybe it's just me, but asked and answered a few times already. I reminded him that I had already told him a few times that I would be there Saturday morning. We drive the car and it was as advertised. There was no negotiation on price, other than $100 off the listed price, but I expected that in the current market and economy. The sale was smooth and pretty quick, and my daughter was happy with the purchase. The business was clean and the cars on the lot each appeared to be in good cosmetic condition. I drove the distance to Armani for two reasons. 1) they had the car we wanted. 2) the Yelp reviews gave the place a good rating. Had I not been hounded about whether I was going to show up or not I would have rated them higher. Overall the used car experience wasn't bad. I purchased a Vehicle May 17th 2024. Very customer service friendly in the beginning. Once deal was completed I guess customer service no longer was a priority. I was treated as if a sale never existed. I provided my payoff to my trade in; that the dealer was suppose to payoff. As of today no payoff have been issued, and now it has negatively put a ding on my credit that I worked very hard to maintain a good rating. It appears that the dealer don't care about the customer as long as they got their money. ITS Really sad to display a motive of being deceitful just to close a deal. I was shopping online for the perfect fit vehicle and this dealer had one I was interested in. I didn't have transportation and requested that they help me get to their dealership. They didn't help make arrangements even though I had phoned about the vehicle several times. They were even rude to me over the phone toward the end and stated that they couldn't make any adjustments on the price since I hadn't even come down yet. I eventually made it there and thought I'd give their dealership another chance hoping to get better service in person. I was wrong, the finance guy was the guy to escort me to the car so I could look. I inspected it but he hurried me back to look at numbers in the office and didn't even allow me to test drive it. I was trying to decide whether to finance with a large down payment or to buy the car outright. He typed something up for a finance deal and after trying to negotiate a fair deal I walked away. When I compared the online price to my paperwork, I realized that he actually raised the purchase price $500 from the advertised price. They treated me like I didn't have the money to spend. Not the service I would expect when you are considering spending $18000 on a car. They were snobbish and rude about it on the phone, in person and seemed to be a greedy used car sales group out for your cash without having to be good at customer service. I hope this place doesn't make it through this pandemic season so they can't keep treating people like that. They treated me as if I didn't have money to spend and I was wasting their time. I'd recommend shopping here if you are looking for a used car - they have a good selection, they are friendly and knowledgeable, and they do not engage in "high pressure" sales tactics. We had a pretty positive experience. We bought our car about 6 months ago, and are still happy with it. The price was fair, and the car has been reliable. Why not 5 stars? We had to make a few minor fixes to it right off the lot - the third brake light wasn't working when we got it (simple $3 bulb replacement), and the stereo-connected USB phone charger wasn't working either (simple $2 fuse replacement). We pointed it out to them at the time of purchase, and they offered to fix them at no cost within 30 days, but it would have cost more in gas to drive the 2 hours round-trip than just fix it myself. Also, I replaced a damaged/cracked interior dome light assembly - $50 ordered directly from Hyundai. It would have been nice if they had caught and repaired these issues ahead of time. This car was on their lot for at least a month. But other than that, we've had zero issues with it. Bottom line - if I'm shopping for another used car, I'd go back to them without hesitation. Pro Tip: If you are shopping at their lot, and want to buy a car, leave for a few minutes. Look up that specific make and model on line (cars.com, edmunds,com, autotrader.com, truecar.com, carfax.com, kbb.com, etc.) - if they are listing that car on any of these sites, it will often be at a lower price than the price shown on the window sticker. Go back with that price in hand - you'll get a lower starting price to negotiate with. read more
