DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!!! I was sold a car on the assumption that there was nothing mechanically wrong by this dealer. During the test drive there was a slight off feeling while accelerating, and he told me that it had not been driven in a while and that the tires needed time and air to adjust. I was on my way to Texas just a day or two later and almost flew off the road, both CV joints were busted.The guys at Brake Masters said that this was a pre-existing problem with the car. The dealer refused to pay for the services, said there is a 30 day warranty on mechanical issues as such regarding this and brakes but is claiming because they sold me the car for cheap that it is fair for them to not pay. I have filed in small claims court and complained to the California Bureau of Automotive Repair, and left a review on google. They are refusing to refund me for the money spent just on the joints that were busted when I got the car and the man lied to me when I specifically asked about it. read more

Thanks for putting my life in danger. I am financing a car through Sierra Valley Auto since December of 2016. In January of 2017 I contacted tony to take a look at and fix my warrantied car. My car was smoking badly on cold start up and went through a quart of oil every week. ZERO OIL LEAKS. my car ran fine, I just wanted him to fix this problem. I had to keep calling him because he wouldn't call me back. Until one week before my warranty was up. I called and said I was dropping the car off for them to fix. He quickly called me back and said that the problems were not covered under warranty. Without even looking at the vehicle. Fast forward to six months into financing, and he calls me and says he would like to get some good reviews from me so he's willing to fix my vehicle. After having the vehicle for one week, he returned it to me with paperwork from tire king, a tire shop, saying they did my engine repairs. Out of curiosity when I got home from picking up the car I called tire king to see if they did engine repairs and they flat out told me that they did not. Now my car is sitting in my driveway. Broken down. The same day I brought it home, I had oil streaming out of my car. I drove it to Firestone to take a look and the told me my valve gasket was leaking into my timing belt case. And I had an unidentifiable leak coming from further down. Starting cost to see what was wrong? 500$. Just to see. Firestone had just serviced my car a month prior. Never noting in their very detailed paperwork anything about leaks. Because there wasn't any. Now my whole engine compartment is covered in oil. My belts slipped off while I was on the freeway doing 65 and broke. And i have to choose to eat, and pay for the bus to get to work, or put yet ANOTHER GALLON of oil in it. But my car payments due in two days. Guess I should pay that. Thanks tony for the quality customer service, for ruining my car and for being too cheap to fix my car properly. The bureau of automotive repairs has opened a case against you over all of this. And I've also contacted three local news stations. Since that'll probably be the only way for Sierra Valley Auto to fix the damages that they've created. I will also be contacting the other people that left bad yelp reviews because of this same treatment to see if they want to open complaints with the bureau of automotive repairs as well. read more

I went in recently and spoke with Tony. He was very pleasant to speak to and was understanding of my needs and financial situation. After what seemed like a short period of time, 2 hours, I left with my new car (Maxima - Oh Yeah!). I got in house financing as well as a warranty and all at something I could afford. Never go to this place under any circumstance!!! I bought a 2004 Honda Accord from Tony and literally two days after the car was in the shop. I ended up with a bill of $1700 for repairs (Second shop repair cost $950) and maintenance that should have been done prior to the guy selling this vehicle off the lot. I brought the vehicle back to him after this and had him take a look at it to bring the vehicle up to standards his response was "if there's no check engine light then I can't do anything". At this point the vehicle barely ran, Just to sum up the review and the lemon that he decided to sell me the engine blew not even 7 months and two different mechanic trips later. I just bought a car from Sierra Valley Auto about month ago, I have been nothing but pleased sense. It was super clean and they are very upfront about their vehicles. One thing my dad and I really liked he said is he wouldn't sell a car here to anyone he wouldn't let his daughter drive, after driving mine it's true. Not only do they have great vehicles they also are very capable of helping people with little to no credit, like my college student self. Their mechanic and BROTHER came to my house and helped me with an electrical problem. I recommend you at least stop in if you are looking for a good used car. Worst decision I have ever made. I bought a car and it had problems from the start. First it was a bad battery..they replaced that and I was happy. Then within three weeks I went back after having miata mechanics check the car. It came back the the differential was messed up. 1500.00 part needed to fix that. I came back and told them and I was told " miata mechanics aren't god" so he drove it three blocks and said nothing was wrong. He totally ignored the obvious burning for the engine. Then I told him it clicks when you back up. He though he was being slick by putting the car in reverse for a second but putting it in neutral while it was backing in motion. When I finally got him to admitt the issues he stated " well you bought a older car, they break down". Since then I have spent more fixing it than what I have paid into so far. The smoke was because of a bad oil and transition leak. At this moment the car doesn't even work and I've had it for 10 months. read more

Never again will I do business with this dealership. I would of been better off buying a beater off of Craigslist since they have lasted longer than the 5000 car they sold me. I had the alternator go out 24 hours after buying it. 2 weeks later the starter dies. It's obvious that they just buy cars from auction and throw a sticker on it without any real diagnostics or checking of the cars. Most of these reviews are high because they will put you in a car quickly. Don't be fooled by this gimmick. I tried to reach out to these guys this morning but my call was not returned. I ran a Car Fax (to bad after the fact) this morning and discovered that on January 20, 2014 this car was sold by a dealer with 87,449 miles on it. When I purchased it from Sierra Valley Auto Sales on August 12, 2014 the car had 86,004. Not saying dishonest but this don't add up. I purchased a Hyundai Sonata from these people in Jan, 2013 . The car had engine problem that they knew about it; when cold started, It was making noise , so they had prestarted the car prior to test drive and the following day pick up of the car. Very "Dishonest People". Tony is a truel used car salesman . Please make sure to test the car ( Cold start and regular start) . Show the car to a mechanic prior to signing the contract ( eventhough you have 72 hrs and 1000 miles to return the car for any mechanical problem).
