Unfortunately I can't speak on a few of these for this incident. So I'm going to just peak on my opinion based on a friends experience that I am now helping to get taken care of. He recently purchased a truck from this dealership, cash, as is. (Unfortunately signed an agreement, which they make you or you can't make the purchase!) And not even 24 hrs later, it's truly a FORD, found in round dead! YES, the truck had left him stranded in the middle of no where, and had to be towed to a shop. The dealership is hold NO, NONE, ZERO responsibility for the lack of work needed to the truck and fact that it was not sellable standards nor ready to leave the lot. Zero help or support, no help with finding a diesel repair shop, or help with the tow, NOTHING!! The ethics and accountability of this dealership is nothing anyone should ever have to experience. Any standup business would step in and take care of their customers and clients. They got the sale and that's all that matters to them. Warning. Stay away! Did not smog vehicle as required by law and then offered to pay half the cost of the catalytic converter which needed replacing. Gave me nothing but the runaround the whole time. Looks like I got off fairly easy considering the many other negative reviews. BAR told them to pay me the other half of the repair cost. Their reply? Let him sue for it. So far so good. I got a 2000 F350 and everything has been smooth. Customer service is good. Truck is good. Truck was a good find. 2000 F350 with 7.3L diesel. Only had 84k miles. I definitely suspect there were some minor things wrong with it that I will never know about. So far it runs pretty good. The buying process was a little bit weird. I had to put a large amount down because the truck was older and then I had to go back a week later to sign something that they forgot to get signed. So far all is well hopefully there are no other hiccups. I still have not received anything from the bank yet. read more

After searching high and low for a Dodge Mega Cab Diesel, I was jerked around by those guys in Auburn at Cypress Auto the Salesman was good the supposed OWNER "Sam the Short guy", was an absolute turd every other word out of his mouth was a LIE. He said he had replaced several parts on the truck they had on their lot, which was absolute Hog Wash. the transmission slammed into gear and pulled HARD to right nearly hit the guard rail twice. I was told by their salesperson that there was a Dealer in Citrus Heights on Sunrise and Antelope called PALMS AUTO it looks kinda small but upon arrival you can see why he sent me there. The hardest to find vehicles and especially trucks were all there is approximately 50 the main building deceives the size because it's up front. I was greeted by a Gentleman named Lee who is probably the most knowledgeable person I've met on trucks. All had brand new tires and CARFAX reports and he showed me every thing they did to the vehicles prior to sale to insure customers safety and satisfaction. I will tell everyone I know about Palms and you should give them a try as well before spending to much on a heap of Garbage from someone else. I love my new truck and the price was VERY FAIR I am a shopper but sometimes Quality does come first. I went to palms auto sales today to look at a truck. the truck was not it good shape. I could not test drive the truck. There was cut wires in the engine bay, bad tires glue hold door trim on badly, a lot of scratches everywhere, missing lug nuts and rusting rims. The person I spoke with said the tires where great and the truck was in perfect shape and if I didn't buy it this week he was going to raise the price on me. The inside of the truck was filthy. Found the truck I was looking for here so drove 2 hrs to pursue a purchase. I had a trade-in with offers from other dealerships. They squeezed me on both ends, but close enough since the truck was perfect for my needs. One issue apparent at the time of sale was the tire pressure monitor system indicator light was on. John told me this must be a battery issue on the sensors. Of course it was not. $300 later to replace bad sensors. But I would have been happy with this, my first time towing with it the check engine light came on. Chevrolet told me it was several things, bad fuel injector and an EGR issue which would take 12 hrs in labor just to get to the issue to really find out what was going on. (I will be getting a second opinion) But Citrus auto sales is every bad story about a used car dealer come true! Avoid or thoroughly inspect the vehicle before buying. read more

Gave them all my info for financing and they said give them a hour and he would call me with the results..... I never heard back from them... I know I was able to get a loan because I have since bought a more expensive truck and have a credit score close to 800. I'm pretty bummed and very unimpressed at their lack of customer service. It has been a few years now since buying my truck st this place but just came across this review and I am still pissed at this dealer so I will leave my mark.Bought a ram 2500 with a 5.9 and a six speed manual in it that I just had to have and never checked it out first (my bad on that one).But anyway I noticed after a while that it was burning a lot of oil (like a gallon or so every 1000 miles and it ended up being a badly dusted engine with bad rings and to top that off it has problem with the heather grid light coming on while beeping at me so the hell if I know what it is? Have the problem to this day.Lost $28,000 on this POS (still my falt for not checking it out first) with $3000 to go on it then maybe I can try and fix something on it.But point is they DO NOT GIVE A SHIT ABOUT YOU!!!So buy with caution and check it out first they do and will hide stuff for there own gain while pissing on you.Good luck!!! read more

I purchased a Ford F250 diesel truck with a faulty Turbo unit which ultimately costed me $3500.00, at Palms Auto Sales on Sunrise Blvd. Please beware, as they are selling trucks that are faulty (as-is) and will not take responsibility, ownership or pride in their vehicles once they leave the dealership. I'm not going to stray from the facts by venting about my frustration, so here are the facts. The engine light appeared on my way home from the dealership. I informed the salesman immediately and was instructed to bring the vehicle back for an inspection. The inspection lasted about 15 minutes, the engine light was off when I left the lot. A few days later, large amounts of oil was spewing from underneath the truck. Once again I called the dealership, and was instructed to take it to a Ford mechanic near my house, so I did. The Ford mechanic informed me that the Turbo unit needed to be replaced. The dealership informed me that the Ford mechanic was too expensive and that they would replace the faulty part. The dealership had my truck for about one week. In the meantime, I had to rent a truck in order to keep my business operating. I was told that the Turbo unit was replaced and all was good. The truck ran fine for about a month or so, until large amounts of oil, once again, came spewing from underneath the truck. I called the dealership to ask about the warranty on the new part that was placed, and was told that there was no warranty with the part. He then apologized and said that there was nothing else they could do for me. I took the truck back to the Ford mechanic and was told that I needed a new Turbo unit! I paid over $3500 in parts, labor and rental fees. The truck had a faulty Turbo unit from the very beginning. The lack of ownership that this dealership portrayed was distasteful and I would not want anyone else to go through the stress and costly mess that I've had to endure. Please beware when purchasing a vehicle from this dealership. I would suggest having an inspection done before leaving the lot, and pay the extra money to have a "cooling-off" period, which will allow you to bring the vehicle back for any reason within a certain amount of time. read more

Steer Clear!!! This place sold me a truck that needed $7000 worth of work! Had the truck for only a month, and it was it the shop more than it was in my drive way! Drove it for 4 days before the check engine light came on. I called them up and they told me they would take care of it... Great right? No. They threw a part on it, " thinking" that would solve the issue. It didn't. It ended up needing all 6 injectors. Long story short they stole money that was supposed to come back to me, sold me a bum truck, lied, and never returned phone calls. The only reason I have 1 star is because they did take the truck back. But like I stated before, I had a sum of money coming back and they illegally kept money that was supposed to be returned. Do not buy from Palms. Look up cypress auto in auburn. They were partners. Read their reviews. Same people! We should have walked away for the start. Over all horrible buying experience. Update-A couple of weeks after I wrote this review the salesman called me up demanding that I take my negative review down. Wasn't nice about it. Then about a month after that I ran into the salesman that sold me the truck at a restaurant, wow, I have never seen someone stick their nose so far up into the air at me. Ill start by saying before the other day I had never used yelp before I made an account just to Leave a great review for these guys after speaking with a guy named Mike who was very low pressure nice guy. at the time he couldn't give me exactly what I wanted on my trade in and I left, but I was happy with the service. After thinking it over I decided that I liked the truck I was looking at and they were close enough to what I needed on my trade that I would take a small loss in the name of customer service. BIG mistake I returned soon after, unfortunately mike was gone and I spoke to a guy named lee who gave me the exact opposite experience. He cut the original trade in offer by over 70% had an attitude and made up things that were wrong with my car such as the transmission was slipping, except my transmission was less than two years old professionally installed, recently serviced and still under warranty *im also an Ase certified full time mechanic and am very familiar with drivability issues* I would not be ignorant to a transmission problem. After all this I still for some reason wanted to find a deal we could agree on, and we did...I was unhappy with the price we came to but felt I could live with it and being that they had slightly less milage than others I was looking at I justified it.... Dumb... when I returned the next day with cash in hand they raised the price another 1000 saying that the price from the previous day was not including taxes and license even though we had clearly agreed on a "total out of pocket cost" and a "trade in value" adding up to an "out the door price". if u like cliche car sales men tactics and being lied to this is the place for you.
