The car I bought was exactly as described--clean and ready to go when I picked it up--but the overall experience was pretty disappointing. Right off the bat, the salesman asked if my wife and I were married, then immediately started hitting on her. Not exactly a great first impression. The finance department was also slow to process the trade-in payoff, which caused me to have to make another payment almost three weeks later. When I asked about it, they blamed "old processes," but the payoff instructions were clearly laid out in the documents they received from my lender. On top of that, they sent the registration without the plates, and it took another week before those finally showed up. Overall, the car itself is fine, but the buying process was scattered and unprofessional. This dealership is such a rip off and dishonest, they preinstall GPS tracking devices on all their cars then up charge for it and force buyers to pay for it, whether you want it or not, it's dirty business, I wonder what other slick craps they would pull on their customers, DONT BUY FROM THIS PLACE, you will regret it. Went here for a car they had and they did the paper work and said nothing about the up charge for the tracking device until I asked them what the extra $1854 was for, then they tried to sell it to me after the fact of me telling them I don't want it. I still insisted that I didn't ask for a tracking device and I don't want to pay for it, after they refuse to take the charges off, I walked out. I feel bad for everyone else who can't speak up to their pressure sales and actually dumps money for something they will never benefit from. After I obtained my own financing, they sent my credit application to 9 other credit unions/ lending institutions. All those inquiries lowered my credit score. I specifically asked them not to do this as I was a finance manager and know the impact of this practice. Additionally they insisted I purchase a tracking device which they never installed or activated. They charged me $696 for nothing!! After I took delivery and got on the freeway I experienced major vibration, a bent wheel Les Swab diagnosed and A1 Auto Wholesale provided a replacement wheel. They also gave me a $300 dollar reimbursement for the labor cost at Les Swab in Grass Valley. They also put in a felonious CarFax. I wouldn't recommend this Dealer to anyone. I came to this dealership looking for a car but when I came by I was left with terrible customer service. Random remarks made towards me that they obviously had to do with my race. "There's a K-pop in the back!" Before I even step out of the car was that even necessary? Not only that but that man who was outside was just out right rude to the people I was with, didn't even try to help us. Typical used car dealer. We bought a Honda there and they are telling you the whole time how the car has gone through a SAFETY inspection. LOL, somehow we drove off with 4 tires that were 8 years old and had cracks and only one headlight worked which we didn't notice until we were halfway home because it wasn't dark yet. Called them up the next day asking how it pass a safety check with these conditions. The owner said he would send a check for $100 to cover the new headlights and my labor. I just wanted to know the out the door price of the ticket price of the car. Which is crazy, the out the door price should be the one advertised. First off, the salesman who assisted us was great, but unfortunately, I can't remember his name--so this review isn't about him. It's about A-1 Auto and their business practices. They advertised a car on CarGurus, Carfax, and Craigslist for $19,991. However, when I arrived at the dealership, the price was $20,992. When I mentioned the lower price from CarGurus, the salesman seemed confused and claimed it was a mistake by CarGurus. Since A-1 Auto manages their own listings across multiple platforms, it's clearly their error, not CarGurus'. Posting the same price on all websites makes it hard to believe this wasn't an intentional bait-and-switch tactic. During negotiations for the out-the-door (OTD) price, they added over $1,000 for a GPS service they install on all their cars. I asked for it to be removed since I didn't need it, but they refused, saying they couldn't remove hardware they had already installed. At that point, I decided to end the car-buying process and walk away. The GPS service wasn't included in the advertised price and wasn't mentioned on any of the listing sites, including their own. For your information, these trackers are commonly installed by dealers who cater to buyers with bad credit so they can more easily repossess cars. The data from the GPS service is also sold to third parties, such as car insurers, who may use it to influence the rates you pay. These GPS device also need a constant power supply so they are constantly draining down your battery even when the car is off. In the future, I'll be sure to request an itemized OTD price before spending money on a pre-purchase inspection (PPI). I wouldn't have wasted $150 on the PPI had I known about these hidden charges. Title: A Masterclass in Deception and Disrespect at A-1 Auto Wholesales Don't buy from these sleazy, low-class fraud, parading around like a kings while peddling junk like a true bottom-feeders. This could have been a very fun experience where they happily let me just look at their cars, test drive them, find the one I really want and give them a big wad of cash---could have, should have. BUT NO!! If I could give zero stars to A-1 Auto Wholesales, I would. This car lot is a far cry from a reputable dealership and should be avoided at all costs. From the moment my husband and I stepped onto the lot, it was a barrage of condescension and sleight of hand that left us nothing short of appalled. The salesman we dealt with smelled strongly of alcohol, casting serious doubts about his professionalism and the dealership's hiring standards. It seemed like their entire sales team is trained in psychological warfare rather than customer service, playing mind games that I presume they think will work on people they assume have low intelligence. We were flabbergasted when Kevin in his slouchy hoody and shorts informed us rather insultingly that their lot was "not a test driving lot" and demanded that we pick "Our favorite" to test drive. It's absurd, considering the purpose of a car lot is to showcase cars that potential buyers will want to explore firsthand. The disrespect did not stop there. Kevin took it upon himself to insult our current vehicle. Little did he know, we own multiple cars, suggesting a laughable attempt at shaming us into a purchase. He also played that game where he went back into the office and did not bring the keys out swiftly. He dragged out something that could have been a quick sale, and LOST THE SALE. Attempting to exercise due diligence, I arranged for an inspection of the car we were interested in at a nearby Honda dealer and was initially told they would drive the car there for the check-up. This promise evaporated instantly, and when I followed up, I was tossed into a maddening cycle of gaslighting and shifting stories, reminiscent of a shell game designed to confuse and frustrate. It's clear that A-1 Auto Wholesales relies on cheesy, sketchy sales techniques. I'm left wondering who could possibly have a satisfactory buying experience here. This dealership operates with a level of deceit and manipulation that should warn all potential customers to steer clear. DO NOT BUY ANY CARS FROM THEM!!! I cannot stress this enough. These guy are conmen, I bought a 2017 Chevy Impala from them exactly a year ago (May of 2024) and I've had nothing but problems with the vehicle. First off, when I checked out the car I noticed that the A/C wasn't blowing very cold. I told them I liked the car, but would not purchase it until that was resolved. They called me back about a week later and told me it was taken care of. I purchased the car after that, and about a week or two later the A/C was not blowing cold again. Turns out unit had a Freon leak. Fast forward a year later, and I've put over $3k into this car. I've had to replace the A/C unit, inner CV joints, break rotors, brake pads and engine & transmission mounts. If I could give zero stars I would. A special f*** you to that sleazeball salesman Kevin, he is dishonest and shady. I know they sell used cars and sometimes unforeseeable maintaince will come up when buying a used car, but this is ridiculous. I'm a 26-year-old young man who worked my a** off to buy that car flat out with cash, and it feels like such a slap in the face to have this money pit on my hands that I'm sure they knew about. Go elsewhere to buy a used car, or at the very least have a reputable mechanic do a full inspection on the vehicle before purchasing it. And to top it off, they will try to sell you a warranty for almost $3,000 extra that doesn't even cover all types of maintenance. Unless you want a car that's riddled with problems that you'll have to shell out money for, don't go here. As a matter of fact, I wouldn't recommend any of the used car lots on Fulton. Extremely condescending and rude customer service. First of all when I first got to the dealership, I greeted the gentlemen at the door and they said nothing. Which was already a sign of terrible customer service. I went in to specifically look at a Honda accord that I had I seen on cargurus for $5900. However when I got there, the car was listed for $6900. When I asked him about it he told me that he was lazy and sometimes doesn't update the prices. I ignored it at the time, and they got the key for me, but when I tried to start it the battery was dead which is a big red flag. So I looked around inside the car and was ready to test drive to make sure it had no manor problems. Thats when the salesman got very argumentative and belligeren. He continuously tried to upsell and say it was listed at $7k, even though he told me 20 minutes ago he would price match the online listing. He then tried to make it seem like I couldn't afford the car, like I was too young, and like I would immediately get denied. I am 21 years old with a 700+ credit score, and was looking to put down half of the cars initial price($5900). This dealership is awful when it comes to their service, I wouldn't recommend anybody go here if you are looking to lease a car. These people are money hungry and condescending and will not work with anyone who isn't putting down 10k on a car, or buying the whole thing in cash. They will want to pull your credit and destroy your score. They are very judgmental and will act differently depending on how you look. Wow! I HATE buying cars but A-1 proved to me that the experience doesn't have to be terrible. My other half was looking for a specific car, A-1 had it. We were greeted by Vincent. He was great! We test drove the car, saw some issues with it, negotiated the price a little, they fixed the issues we test drove it again and we got the car. Had there not been a few things to fix (minor issues) we would have been in and out in probably less than 2 hours, which is awesome because we also financed it. Vincent was hilariously funny, and seemed to be very open and honest. He made the entire purchasing of a used are to be super easy and pleasant and this is coming from a difficult customer. Recently purchased a beautiful 2021 4Runner from the lot and also did a 2016 Toyota Camry trade in. The car was slightly overpriced by about 3k in my research, but it was what I wanted so gladly paid. Car has too much motor oil in it, which I will need drain, but small issue. Tire tread is lower than I expected as well... but it's used. As for the trade in, simply disappointed. Trust me, everyone thinks their car is valued higher than it is, so that's not the issue. Issue is, I was offered 11,000k for my car and after it was said and done they actually gave me 10,500. I called and spoke to the office, they said the finance amount didn't change nor the monthly payment rate but they did take off $650 in dealership fee's (I'll need to revisit my ppwk to confirm, but their website says $85 for fee's at first glance.) Only issue to that is, that will not / can not prove that with any documentation. So I'm pretty much SOL. Talked to a few CPA buddies and they suggested that they probably slim off a few cars like this per year in the hopes to buy a couple more cars and make an additional profit. Slick move and I can't fault them if true. I just wish they were a little more transparent. Also got bullied into the extended warranty for $2250 ish. My fault, not theirs, I was just too trusting. The warranty has meh reviews. All in all- Decent joint with decent people. Just hate not having transparency and trusting the wrong folks. Good luck with them and take the extra time to comb through the ppwk. It'll take 4ish hours if you do it thoroughly. read more

I was really interested in a 2013 black highlander hybrid and spoke several times with Kevin. They agreed to drop it off at the local Toyota (maita) dealership for a prepurchase inspection I paid for. The Toyota people saw multiple red flags including an oil leak and several cleared codes that suggested possible big repair issues. Kevin was defensive about this report and suggested that Toyota was doing bad business instead of acknowledging the reported issues. Stay away. That car is still listed. read more

I love these guys! They are trustworthy, fair, kind, sincere, reliable, all the things you want in a dealership! I had a wonderful experience here. I bought a one owner 2015 Scion xB in MINT condition for a price that was well worth it. I bought the car back in May, and I still see Scion xBs in worse condition with more miles sold for more than what I paid for it here. In terms of financing I was dead set on using my own bank. I went through the approval process and found out that A-1 could offer me a better loan at with a much lower rate! I was so happy that I called my bank and let them know I no longer needed the loan. Hi I hope my experience helps i was to neglected in certain ways. bottom line i took the car knowing it had a minor issues "noises after test drive" but they acted like they didnt notice. all his salesman wanted to do was sell me the 3rd party warranty " i dont suggest that either" "they arnt on your side either when the car breaks etc.". ill do pretty much anything for the first time, for the learning experience and good thing i did purchase the warranty because it saved me from coming out of pocket more than I already had lol the car was 20k. with warranty and other stuff 24k. after driving the car 30 days or less! " noises got louder". I paid a dealership 390$ diagnostic "195 per inspection of things I was worried about". I basically needed a new transmission and other things like clutch flywheel. soo if i didnt buy the warranty id over pay to 26k, because the labor cost was 5,550-6,000$. but anyways, the owner of the dealership is looking at me with a discuss look because I told his salesmen about the " noises" and he seemd like he didnt wana talk to me directly or budge on the price. he budged maybe 2-500$ not sure. but moral of my drag story. watch what car you buy from this guy or salesmen they are just trying to get a quick buck. especially after covid. !! i really wanted this car and had an idea of what could have gone wrong I am familiar with how dealerships like this one buy vehicles so im not upset as other people would. still does not make it ok! & I hope the next individual does not go through what I have . peace and blessings. i dont have the paperwork infront of me but ill add photos soon!!! and to the phony reply she gave hahah they have done so many people wrong she called me someone elses name like dang shouldnt you keep track of who you rip off and plus who is she she wasnt even at the dealership. just two Shiesty male individuals. read more

I purchased my 2018 GMC 2500 Duramax almost two years ago and it has been a wonderful vehicle. I got an excellent deal on it and bought it at the perfect time. They had me in a very fair loan and was driving away in the truck within an hour. i've traveled across the country and back almost 3 times now, hauling my camper and moving trailer. The only hiccup I had was when I went to connect my hauler and there was an electrical short in the towing harness, which was burned out... but a few hundred dollars at the dealer, I had it replaced and it still was a great purchase overall. read more

The test drive was zero pressure, they put together a financing package that was 2% better than our credit union, and the car was $1000 less than CarMax with 20k less miles. I drove to A-1 in the Camry I bought from them 15 years ago! They really do know how to find the "cream of the used car crop" Honestly, you won't find a better deal out there. Not honest. They've had a white Cadillac Escalade for sale for almost a month but they'll tell you they just got it in a week ago. It jumps and jerks when moving from reverse to drive. And they actually act surprised when you tell them you've noticed that flaw. They don't know really anything about it except how to sell it off their lot. Couldn't answer any questions about how to use certain features on it. Cmon now it's the most expensive car on your lot and you did no research at all or just lying. Either way - super lame. It's the platinum model so it's beautiful of course. But to have it jerk forward like that EVERY TIME from reverse to drive and then act like you never noticed after having it there in the crowded lot over 3 weeks? Like they haven't had to go from reverse to drive during that whole time. That's when I knew for sure they were liars. No conscience. Lame. ALSO IT HAS 78k miles not 77k. So they've definitely been driving it since they got it. Update your post and don't say new arrival when you've had it almost a month and obviously been driving it approximately 1,300 miles since. Pricks. Update-7/26/21 Every single thing the person said in their reply to my review is a lie. Every. Single. Thing. None of that was said by the people there. Sharing my car buying experience from a couple days ago. We found a car we wanted to buy and when we inspected the car, we noticed a missing weather stripping under the hood. Gustavo told me it wouldn't be more than $10 and was willing to send me one in the mail. I was happy with that arrangement and sat down with him to go thru the paperwork to buy the car. I asked if they would be willing to fill the car up with gas since the car was on empty with the gas light on. They told me they would not fill up the car and was only willing to put $10 dollars' worth of gas for me just enough for me to drive off the lot. I was okay with that since we liked the car. During the process, we found out the car only had 1 key and the other one was missing. I asked if they would deduct the cost of the second key from the purchase price. Gustavo went to talk to Vincent regarding the missing key. Gustavo comes back to let me know they will not budge on the price. I told them that's fine and I will still buy the car with 1 key. We continued to sign all the paperwork for the purchase of the car. We noticed the weather stripping was not on the document as promised. I inquired about it and Vincent came out to show me some printout of his cost and that he is not making his money on this car and that it is well below KBB. He told me that I could buy this car and flip it and make a lot of money on it. Not sure if his profit margin is razor thin or I was getting a good story. I told them that it was fine and would continue to buy the car since it was just another $10, I would have to spend to replace it. I told them I have never had a car buying experience where something was agreed upon and when sitting down to sign paper work that things were not as agreed upon. Especially something that only cost $10. I told them I would provide my feedback on my experience on yelp. Vincent got upset and told me he will not sell the car to me. I didn't like how I was treated and didn't want to get into an argument over the $10 or the car, so we left. It blows my mind that a business would walk away from a deal over $10 instead of making it right. Looking at some of the previous reviews on yelp, I could see this wasn't the first-time things were changed or forgotten off the bill of sale during the purchase. Be vigilant and review the purchase agreement before signing the paperwork if you do decide to buy a car from here. read more
