I brought my BMW to Niello specifically because they were running a $450 battery replacement special. Otherwise, I likely would have gone elsewhere. The communication was confusing from the beginning. The battery was the primary reason my car was there, yet after drop-off I started receiving messages about an oil change, inspection, filters and other maintenance items and had to clarify again why the vehicle was actually there. The work was completed and I was eventually told my car was "all set." I had been out of town for the week and had already told my service advisor, Zahan, that I would be back over the weekend. I returned Saturday night. On Sunday, I called because I needed the completed car for work Monday morning. I knew Service was closed. I was not asking anyone to perform service. I had a spare key and was willing to pay immediately by card or cash. John was helpful and actually checked for the key. Jared later told me that "sales, service, and parts are their own separate things." That statement pretty much sums up the problem. I then spoke with William, the sales manager on duty. To his credit, he initially went to ask questions. But when I offered to bring cash because he said he could not accept Service payment, he told me I was an "excellent salesperson." Later, when I questioned why Sales could accept payment to sell a vehicle but could not help accept payment to release my completed vehicle, he said, "I'm sure you can talk me into saying yes to just about anything." I wasn't trying to sell anybody anything. I was simply trying to get my own car back. I offered a spare key, card payment, cash, and asked whether Service management could be contacted. Instead, the conversation became focused on why the departments were separate. There may have been a legitimate policy reason the vehicle could not be released Sunday. I can accept that. What I cannot accept is a dealership operating like Sales, Service and Parts are separate companies instead of one business responsible for its customer. I did not leave my BMW with "Service." I left it with Niello BMW Sacramento. And if this is how the Sales Department treats someone who came in as a Service customer, why would I ever want to buy my next vehicle from them? A service customer today can easily be a sales customer tomorrow. This experience did the opposite of building that relationship. read more

Avoid this place at all costs. My husband negotiated a vehicle sale and a new lease deal for my mother-in-law with these shady people. The dealership agreed to the terms and made a good faith promise not to pressure her into purchasing any add-ons -- knowing she would be coming in alone, getting into her first lease, and unfamiliar with how leases work. They broke every part of that agreement. Not only did they change the terms and give her less than what was agreed upon for her trade-in, they pressured her into two unnecessary packages that increased her monthly payment by nearly $100. When she expressed discomfort and tried to leave with her original car, they conveniently "couldn't find her keys." While they stalled, they continued to pressure her -- leaving her feeling unsafe as a woman alone. She said she was sweating and experiencing tightness in her chest, and still they pressed on. She was so distraught that she ultimately agreed just to get out of there. To add insult to injury, they failed to return her house keys from the same key ring, leaving her to scramble for a spare just to get into her home that night. When she returned to retrieve her keys, she was treated poorly -- again. My husband had already called to complain, and Diane in financing, apparently personally offended by that, had a terrible attitude and treated my mother-in-law as though she were the problem. She had been nothing but kind and accommodating throughout the entire ordeal -- because that is the type of person she is. They saw that, and they preyed on it. For context, my husband and I negotiate leases this way regularly -- for ourselves and for friends -- and we never have issues. The process is simple: negotiate everything beforehand, go in, sign the papers, and leave. Niello confirmed they understood and agreed to exactly that. The moment they met my mother-in-law and realized they could manipulate her, they did. THEY NEVER EVEN APOLOGIZED FOR THE WAY THEY MADE HER FEEL. Not once. To say customer service here is atrocious is a severe understatement, especially for a "luxury" brand. Personally I only lease with other, more reputable luxury brands that have standards for how they treat people. This has definitely solidified that. Shame on you, Niello BMW staff. I sincerely hope nobody ever treats your own mother or any woman in your life that you love this way. * I waited to post this review as my mother-in-law needed to go in a third time to get a tutorial on how to use the functions of her new car, and I figured I'd give Diane and friends another chance to redeem themselves. I was shopping for a new German car with my lovely wife this summer. I was helped by Tim and he was knowledgeable, friendly and made us comfortable. We agreed on a hybrid 750 E. He sold us the new car for less than dealer invoice! The lease payment was about $1,150. Not bad for a $115,000 car. The dealer applied a ceramic coating to the exterior for no cost. I purchased a used car that they said they inspected thoroughly and checked all safety mechanics, but took the car to a shop when purchased and seen it had safety issues took the car back. They said no it doesn't and handed me a paper saying they checked the brake pads when the shop I took it to diagnosed a caliber and rotor issue that is a safety problem. And they refuse to fix it. This car had multiple problems and they still sold it. I'm shocked coming from I'm a prestige car lot like BMW! After securing a pre-approval on a used car auto loan and reserving a vehicle that I planned on purchasing, I needed to figure out what to do with my current car. After receiving a mediocre appraisal from the local CarMax, my wife wisely suggested that I get a second opinion. I did a Reddit deep dive and folks were praising the appraisal offers that they received through the CarGurus website (ironically the same website that I used to find my next car). I immediately plugged my vehicle's VIN and specs into the website and received an estimated offer for $17, 920 from Niello BMW (ironically my next car would happen to be a BMW). Less than 24 hours later I received a call from Niello BMW Internet Sales Advisor, Lance Pascual. I explained to Lance that I would be bringing the car in so that he could inspect it and confirm the estimated offer that I had received online. I scheduled an appointment with Lance and cleaned the vehicle before bringing it in for the official appraisal. Upon my arrival, I was warmly greeted by Lance who was very friendly and engaging as he inspected my vehicle. After confirming the online appraisal amount, I sat in the dealerships comfortable waiting area and enjoyed a couple cups of tea as Lance completed the paperwork that would finalize the sale. After signing all of the required paperwork, Lance informed me that I would receive a check in the mail from Niello BMW. Bad experience with Niello BMW service center. It started really well I was very happy and satisfied with their service but didn't end very well. I was working with Matt. He made promises that he never delivered end of your repair we will give you this we will give you that when repair finished he didn't mention anything and said here is your car keys. My 2024 BMW i4 was at the shop for repair for more than 2 months parts coming from Germany. After keeping the car for two months. I still have error message displaying on my BMW app. I reached out to my service advisor Matt. He is keep saying I will call you today, tomorrow next week. Three years ago, I bought a 2020 X5 with the remaining original warranty. I also bought a 72 month/ 100,000 mile term service warranty. All work before the 60,000 mile service was covered by the original warranty. With that warranty lapsed, I took it into my local BMW dealer for the 60,000 mile service on October 27 and was shocked to find that the service contract was canceled. Not sure how that could have happened since I didn't cancel it and the language in the contract lays out specific conditions in which the contract can be canceled/refunded. In summary, the BMW has to be totaled and accompanied with a certificate issued by the insurance company certifying that in fact it is totaled. Anyway, I emailed Justin Watts asking for answers but haven't heard back. I had to pay $1800 for the 60,000 mile service and have still not heard back from them. I sent a certified demand letter they received Tuesday and still nothing. At this point, I want a refund for beach of contract and am considering my options on how to get it. I doubt Niello will reach out to me to resolve this worthless service they sold me. Beware of doing business with Niello. At best they are grossly incompetent, lazy, unprofessional and at worst they simply broke the law and stole my money. unfortunately i made the mistake of purchasing a bmw... the 2nd mistake was allowing neilo to service it. They aren't transparent about the longevity of their cars- specifically the parts. I had to replace my front brakes after 16, 000 miles. Typical brakes need to be replaced after 30,000 miles. I bought a car from Niello BMW in Sacramento, and overall, I expected better treatment from a dealership of this level. When I picked up the car, they provided me with a spare key, but I later found out that the key wasn't programmed. When I contacted the dealership, I was surprised to learn that they took no responsibility for this. The manager refused to discuss the issue further and simply told me to take the car to a Nissan dealership to get the key programmed. When I explained that programming costs about $450, the manager's response was that they would not cover any part of that cost. I found this response very disappointing -- it showed a complete lack of customer care and accountability. For anyone considering buying a car here, I recommend verifying everything works before leaving the lot, including both keys, because the dealership may not help you afterward. NEVER in my life have I dealt with a company or organization as condescending and disorganized as this. I was buying an X3 for my sister remotely in February as I live 6 hours away from the dealership. I would buy it, and she would pick it up. From the start, I had made it very clear that I was not paying for any scummy fees like dent warranties or GPS tracking. All four people I talked to would "note this down," and the next person I talked to would try to sell me on the same junk again--which made it clear to me there was either no communication across the board, or they were deliberately being obtuse. Two people I talked to were extremely condescending when I declined GAP and made it feel like a stupid decision to not go with their GAP insurance, which is not their call to make. Twice I got the DocuSign documents with different junk fees added on, but the third time I got them, they were finally cleaned of any fees. I DocuSign everything and even sign and mail back the DMV paperwork I get in the mail. Now we get to the finance process. I made it clear that I was using my own financing from UNCLE Credit Union and they tried to rate match it to get me to go with them, but were unsuccessful in bringing it down to the rate I had at the time (~5.4%). No matter, I don't have a problem going with my own financing as that was my intent from the start. They were not pushy about it either to their credit once they realized they couldn't rate match. This goes on for about a week, and I don't hear from them after all of this for several days. Only once I follow up, one of the Finance managers leaves a voicemail saying that they cannot sell me the car because their system marked me as fraudulent (?). She then said I was welcome to come in person and buy it with cash, but could not proceed otherwise. A complete and utter waste of time all-around. I didn't care if they think I am fraudulent, I was not even financing through them and they had no financial liability to be concerned about. The only respectful and prompt person throughout the process was the sales employee Ivan. Everyone else was horrific to deal with. I can't attest to what it is like buying a car in-person at Niello, but I can say without a doubt that no one should be buying cars remotely or over the phone from them at all. Icing on the cake: Shortly after the fiasco, the listing went down another $2000 (maybe automated, not sure), and my sister went in and bought it herself. I would not have fought on price matching it since I had agreed to the original listing price. this place is a joke. l baught a car in February 26. l had to take my car in. because it would not let me shift, if l had to turn it off, and turn it back on in a short amount of time. I took the car in, was told there was nothing wrong. A service o, took time to show us how to get the car to shift. It was a joke. The next day it did the same thing, l tried to contact service, no one would answer., after about 30 minutes, the car started working, right l was not able to speak to a person, no one called me back. My wife and I bought a Mine from Niello.com. The purchase process was efficient and painless, David Webb was easy and efficient to work with. We live near Santa Cruz, a 3 1/2 hour drive from Niello. The car was driven to our house in the rain, arrived coated with road grime and less than half a tank of gas. Shortly after, we found that it makes a shrieking sound from the windshield at freeway speeds. When we brought that to the attention of Niello, their response: do the 7 hour round trip to Sacramento to have it serviced there. When we explained the inconvenience to Niello, they agreed to have it serviced near us at Mini of Stevens Creek. Now 9 days later and after many many calls and emails, they want us to take to Safelite Auto Glass to have the windshield replaced there. Never mind that we have a loner car now, and switching locations will be a total pain and require 2 people and 2 cars to drop off and pick the mini. If you want a car that's easy to buy and difficult to get serviced, buy at Niello. If you want to have your calls and emails ignored, buy at Niello. If you want a gigantic runaround when attempting to service your vehicle, buy at Niello. Niello: "Where service stops when you leave our lot." I'm with Karen H." Niello appears to not care at all. Nervous and neurotic people work here. They insist on running your credit (hard inquiry!!) even when you're buying cash. They won't even hold a car for you without a signed contract, which again, requires a hard hit on your credit. I had an appointment for a couple days later and thought the car was being held for me, but then got a "sorry, car sold today so you should have signed a contract" nonchalant response. No worries! Waste of time. When we spoke over the phone I explained the situation and mentioned key details. Drove for an hour to this place under the impression they were going to work with me. To find out there was nothing they could do to work with me. Tried pushing me to buy a six figure car. Waste of my time. I have three kids, a 40+ hour work week, and I'm going to school for my MBA. I do not have time to waste. The fact that I drove for an hour for nothing makes it even worse. Save your time. BMW in Fairfield is the way to go. I forgot to add they also seemed to change their demeanor when I mentioned I was interested in the less expensive cars. They're not affiliated with bmw in Fairfield which I found odd as well. When I mentioned the cars I was interested in they told me they didn't have them there. They said one car was on the way but they weren't too sure if the other car was available. I felt like royalty from the moment I was greeted and sat down with Christian the service writer. He was very attentive and listened to every detail of my concerns regarding my vehicle and set the expectations from the start. After the technician took good quality time looking over my entire vehicle I received a text message with the link of detailed explanation of everything going on with my vehicle and what the cost would be to repair. I found that these costs Are comparable to an independent shop making it extremely affordable to have my vehicle repaired here. After my vehicle was finished with all the repairs I was notified when it was done, and I let them know that I was coming to pick it up. As I pulled into the dealership, my car was sitting there ready to go. I didn't have to wait for it. I didn't have to ask around I went right in paid for my repairs and went on my way with my newly repaired beautiful vehicle. SERVICE DEPARTMENT REVIEW TLDR; Despite the overcharge for spark plug replacement, I trust this dealership to work on my vehicle again. Karl was my service advisor, and I appreciate his navigation of my particular issues. Scott, the service supervisor, also went beyond what I believe was required, as he didn't have to offer me a discount on the second repair. They also provided a loaner, which was nice. --- A few months ago, I was moving from Washington State, back down to San Diego, due to the pandemic restrictions ending. I decided to stop at this dealer to do some overdue maintenance on my M235, as I have family in the Sacramento area. I brought in my vehicle, and the parts I had bought - as I had originally planned on doing the work myself. They didn't give me any issues about me bringing my own parts, so that was a plus. Specifically, I brought in a valve cover and a transmission pan. I requested they flush the fluids, change the transmission oil and pan, replace the valve cover gasket, and to fix a seatbelt issue. My check engine light was on, and they recommend I replace the oil temp sensor, so I okayed that for $362.16. I also requested they change the spark plugs, since you have to remove them to replace the valve cover anyway. This was my first issue. Even though they had to remove the spark plugs to do the valve cover replacement that I requested, they still charged me $517.50 for the spark plug labor. (Which is a ridiculous labor charge for spark plugs, period.) Regardless; they preformed the labor requested, Karl called to inform me, and I arrived to pick up my vehicle. While driving my vehicle back home, the car went into limp mode, and a drivetrain malfunction occurred. The dealership was closed at this point, so I had to pay out-of-pocket for a tow. The next day Karl calls me and tells me the car isn't running because I need to replace the fuel rail pressure sensor, in addition to all the fuel injectors. He quotes me $3,178.08 (parts + labor) for the injectors and $769.01 for the fuel rail sensor. So, an additional $3,947.09. This seemed absolutely ridiculous to me. So, I told him to hold off, and proceeded to drive down to the dealership to speak to him in person. By now, I'm pretty upset. I brought them a running vehicle, for some elective maintenance, and paid them $3,307.42 for that work, only to have a broken vehicle. I talk to Karl, and explain to him that if the fuel injectors now need to be replaced, that's something that occurred while they were repairing the vehicle. What are the odds that the car fails, right after a part they physically have to manipulate, to do the work I requested, now needs to be replaced? I literally just drove it from Seattle, down to Sacramento, and electively brought in the vehicle. Obviously either they broke it, or it's another issue. He was kind and sympathetic the whole time I explained this, and obviously I felt bad, as none of this is his fault, and he's simply the go-between for the customers and service people. He then goes and speaks to the service manager, Scott, who then talks to me. I repeat what I told Karl, and Scott tells me he cannot take responsibility for the issue, as the car is 7-years old now, and is at 100k miles. He says the best he can do is half off parts and labor. Obviously, I accept. My rational was that it was a maintenance item I knew I'd be replacing eventually anyway. Either that, or now I'm stuck, because they're denying all responsibility, so I better take what I could get. In reality, he could have took no responsibility and attempted to charge me full price, and then I'd be forced to tow it out of there, to an independent. So, I did appreciate the gesture, and the fact that he didn't completely exploit the situation. After the injector job, they called me telling me the car was still having issues. They kept it for a day longer while diagnosing it, and found out it was excess fuel in the cylinders that needed to be burned off. I suspect that the injectors didn't need to be replaced right at that moment, and it was always excess fuel causing the misfires; but, as anyone who has ever worked on vehicles knows, it's not an exact science. You're attempting to diagnose symptoms, and it was work that would need to be performed regardless at some point. So, I don't fault them for it. They fixed it, and I was able to make it to San Diego without further issues. The total repair bill came out to $5,842.98. The worst customer service ever! No one, literally no one interested in your questions right after they sell the car to you. Also, a month after buying my car i got to service where I've been "highly suggested" to replace all tires for more than 1K. Umm so you guys sold me the car a month ago with bold tires? Right. No one had a clue. And the cherry on the top, 2 months later i still have no title for my car which was paid off right away! Calling, calling, calling no answer for weeks!!
