bought a nice Toyota Tacoma 4x4 sport on October 2nd 2025 from Pedro the salesman. Very happy with my truck, the service however is absolutely horrible. After dropping a $200 deposit to hold the truck was on my way to test drive it and Pedro didnt answer my calls for a while (I live two hours away from rancho cordova) after I was over halfway there he answered...anyway the truck checked out. It exceeeded my expectations. So I'm signing paperwork to purchase the truck. I have some of my down payment cash and some on my debit. Pedro says I can pay whatever and get the rest to him in a few weeks (sounds good right?) I also purchased the extended warranty. Anyway Pesro cant tell me much about the truck except for the carfax report. Theres was a lower front bumper lip and license plate in the truck bed, he said the lip didnt belong to the truck and tossed it to the side. I found out the lip does belong to my truck. I told Pedro I can stop by and pick it up since ill be up that way. He told me they are open 7 days a week til 7pm, I show up on a saturday I believe. Nobody at Goldent State Auto (even though I called multiple times and pedro assured me somebody will be there) then Pedro apologizes and he will make it up to me with a tank of gas and gift cards said he will mail it. He STILL TO THIS DAY has not said anything to me about the lip when I can pick it up or when he will mail it, he also has not said another word about gift cards or the tank of gas he promised me for all the wasted time and trips. The I take it to get an oil change and dealership informs me it needs a new steering rack. No problem I have the extended warranty, I schedule the repair...dealership calls me and says the extended warranty will not cover my repair becuase the policy is not active. I call pedro. Nobody asnwers, ever. He said his boss will start the policy when they recieve the final payment. (Which was not part of the deal) he told me to pay $1,000 in a few weeks, if he would have told me this upon signing I would have just paid the whole down payment, I had the impression he was trying to help me out and save some Money for the time being. This is not his intentions. Keep in mind this is the first week I had the truck. I took it to the car wash and the pressure washer blew a cover upn clean off literally not even a week after I bought it. Then the check engine came on and I informed Pedro, once again he didnt reply and still hasn't replied regarding the check engine light. Only time Pedro tried to get ahold of me was to collect the final payment and he straight blew up my phone non stop while at was at work then told me he was "conerned for my well bing and thought something might have happened to me" when all he wanted was money then proceeded to tell me "to do the right thing" and then threaten to "make the final payment or his boss will send me to collections" keep in my mind I never met or talked to his boss, not even when I called the dealership multiple times, multuple days, ever not once. But Pedro thinks when he mentions his boss im supposed to care. I believe Pedro thinks he is helping me by selling me this truck when infact the truck sold itself. Pedro was not a help at all. Infact, its but nothing but non stop incoveniences. Now I will say they do have some nice vehicles. They know what sales. But keep in mind they are "USED CAR SALESMAN" they are not completely honest or straight forward about anything and they do lie. The thing is they had the exact truck I had been looking for with low miles so I was sold, it wasnt pedro the persuaded me to make the purchase, im confident I know more about vehicles than Pedro. I do not recommend this dealership unless you absolutely have to have a vehicle you see. Everytime I text this guy no reply or when I call no answer. Trash customer service. Be cautious with this place.

Asked me to confirm delivery address; I sent him the correct address, and he still sent it to the wrong place.

I paid cash for a Mercedes at this dealership and my experience was far from desirable. Pedro told me all it needed was a new set of tires. The morning after I took it home, the car was slammed into the ground. I expected about as much, as air ride suspension tends to wear after so many years, but the fact that it had been at his dealership for some time meant that he knew this was an issue, and he chose to omit that information when he told me that all it needed was a set of new tires. As I waited for the car to raise itself, I did a quick walk around to see if any damage had been done to the fenders. That's when I noticed the dealership never put temporary plates on the car (which is the law). I called Pedro. "I'll have my assistant mail them right away," he lied. Days went by. I got pulled over twice for the missing plates. I called Pedro. "My assistant should have sent those out already. I'll check back with you soon." Pedro never called me back. Weeks went by. Pedro kept blowing me off. I bought a set of tires. I got the suspension fixed. I got the oil changed. I got the windows tinted. And I *still* didn't get my plates. Every time I called Pedro, he said whatever he could to get me off the phone. I paid cash for the Mercedes, and didn't so much as haggle with him over the price. The entire transaction took about 30 minutes, and he was so quick to take my money that he forgot to even issue temporary plates for the car I bought from him, just like he "forgot" to tell me about the car's leaking suspension after he said all the car needed was a set of new tires. I purchased the car in April. I never got the temporary plates. The DMV delivered my permanent plates today, but Pedro didn't even have them sent to the right address, even after he text messaged me and asked me what address to send the plates to! If it were up to Pedro, I probably still wouldn't have plates for the car. This is more than an issue regarding a lack of communication. This is a textbook example of dishonesty, *and* a lack of communication. P. S. Pedro seems like a decent guy, just not a very honest one. (He even lied about the day he mailed the tags. Said he sent them on the 3rd and FedEx didn't pick them up until the 9th.)

I have bought many cars from a small dealership before and none of them has ever satisfied me because they made me feel like they wanted to just sell me a car and have nothing else to do with it once I'm off their lot but let me just say, golden state auto is nothing like that!! I bought a beautiful 2012 Honda Pilot Touring & it was perfect but i noticed minor things that needed fixing and as soon as I told Abi & Leroy, they immediately scheduled me an appointment to have it fixed and I didn't have to spend a dime! They truly care for their customers and really want to sell long lasting cars! I highly recommend Abi & Leroy and I trust that all of their cars on their lot is spectacular! Thank you golden state auto! This purchase was the smoothest I've ever experienced and I will definitely send everyone I know who's buying a car their way!

I recently purchased a used 2017 BMW X3 from this dealership and had a terrible experience. After…read morenegotiating a price and leaving a deposit, I drove hours to pick up the car, only to find it wasn't even at the lot. When it finally arrived, I noticed a large chip in the windshield, a marred gear shifter, and a media screen that's unreadable in sunlight--none of which were disclosed by the salesman, despite my request for transparency on any damage. To make matters worse, the deal was supposed to include new tires, but the worn-out ones were still on the car when I arrived. The sales manager, Hash Subhan, refused to honor the original agreement, offering to split the cost of tires, but his pricing changed after reviewing our messages. The tires were quoted at $1,100, then after showing him my messages it magically increased to $1,500. Finally, just days after purchasing, the car lost power, and the check engine light came on. It's incredibly frustrating that a dealership that specializes in exotic cars would treat customers this way, especially with a 9-year-old vehicle with 97k miles. I should have walked away--avoid this dealership at all costs.

Beware of this place the owner is a total scammer!!!…read more Took my mom to purchase a vehicle, a vehicle that had been on the lot for over a year. Vehicle listed for 7999..asked for the out the door price ,the owner told me it was 10500. I did the math for sale taxes in my area which is 9% and added an extra 500 to 600 for fees. So a ball park area around 9200. I ask where was he getting the extra 1300$ from... " I painted the rims (which were factory ) and tinted the windows" Im not a car salesman but usually on a used 10 year old vehicles aren't sold with dealer mark ups.. The rims were factory and the tints had some bubbles.. The car would not stay running, so once they swapped the battery for a battery that was not rated for the vehicle . We notice a tire pressure light , the rear rim had a huge dent in the lip so he painted the rims but didn't repair. Also vehicle was extremely dirty inside.

We ended up purchasing our vehicle at Folsom Lake Honda because of two main reasons: 1. We got a great deal on the exact van we were looking for. 2. We did not feel pressured to purchase and we didn't feel like a shadow was following us everywhere when we were browsing the cars. A year later, we are still very happy with the dealership. It is easy to schedule an appointment for service online or over the phone and the service advisors and technicians are great. I recently worked with Rich D (service advisor) and Vasily (technician) who were both very friendly, knowledgeable, and great at communicating with me throughout the service , even at 8 in the morning! I usually opt to sit at the dealership to wait for my car. The dealership is very clean with lots of places to sit. They also offer lots of snacks, coffee, tea, hot chocolate while you wait.

My review is for the service department only…read more The Express Service facility is great. Regular maintenance gets done fast and never any problems. I get all my regular maintenance done here. The main service department though, is a different story. I've been there twice and been disappointed twice. I got roof rack rails instaleld there, and they later started leaking and now my car leaks every time it rains. I had a brake problem and they simply couldn't find it. The problem was that after hard braking, the pedal became spongy and required pumping. They said they couldn't replicate it, which means they didn't try hard braking on the empty street next to the dealer. Oil changes and tire rotations, they're great. Five stars for the Express Service. Anything more I go somewhere else. 1-2 stars.

WOW. THE BEST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD BUYING A CAR. My review is long, but a Must-Read for…read moreanyone buying a car!! I am recovering from an illness during which I wasn't able to work for over 2 years. My credit is destroyed. I am working hard to rebuild it and it is NOT easy! I have a decent job again and was spending so much money on rental cars, Lyft and Uber it was ridiculous, I needed a car. I went to several dealerships claiming to be able to finance anyone, and no one could - even Paul Blanco (except with horrible terms). I was referred to Mike at Eurostar, and I dropped by without much hope. I told him my situation and that I understood if he couldn't help me but had nothing to lose asking. I left pretty sure I wouldn't hear from him ever again. Boy was I wrong. Let me begin by telling you that the vehicles on the lot are absolutely beautiful. It's obvious that they select only the best, and they have a lot of pride in the appearance of their inventory. I did not expect to see such beautiful cars, and their prices are very fair. When I received a phone call a few hours later from Mike I was sure he had bad news, however he was calling to tell me that he was able to get me approved for a beautiful 2017 Ford Focus. I was shocked and thrilled. The payment was high, but I assumed I had no choice because I have such poor credit and so I signed the contract. I just couldn't believe he even could find financing for me. I was to take delivery of the vehicle the next day, but I woke up in a panic in the middle of the night thinking about that payment. I pretty much figured that since I signed the contract I couldn't back out and anyways, with challenged credit it was probably the only way I could get approved. Still, I texted Mike the next morning to express my concern and to ask if he would or even could work with me on different vehicle to get a lower payment. Four hours later I was again shocked when Mike texted me back. He reworked the deal, and qualified me to buy a GORGEOUS 2012 Acura TSX with a much lower monthly payment, shorter loan term and the same down. He also arranged for me to split the down payment up over a 30 day period. The transaction was seamless, painless and fast, too! I definitely felt Mike had my best interests at heart. He didn't sell me a car that was going to overextend me, and was genuinely happy to have been able to help me - and I mean that. He is one sharp guy. I was embarrassed and humiliated at other dealers, NEVER was this the case with Mike. He is calm, cool, collected, honest, positive and genuine. I was treated with respect and truly felt valued. A year from now when my credit is built up I will buy my dream car, and I won't ever go anywhere else or buy from anyone else. For now, my new vehicle is just PERFECT and I wish my commute was longer, lol!

The absolute worst experience EVER. They told me the truck was there and they would discount it…read more$2k. I told them I was on my way. When I got there they tried to put me on the wrong truck. I told them that is not the correct truck. The salesman Daniel got the Owner Jan who said give him 2 minutes and walked away towards to curd on his phone. Come back and says sorry my partner borrowed the truck and it is in Grass Valley and he cannot discount it. He asked what time tomorrow I would like to see it. I said in the morning. I happen to be in the neighborhood that evening and saw the truck sitting on the street filthy. Never received a call from Daniel the next day so I texted him at 12:00 pm. He said he will be at work in 40 minutes. He finally called me 2 hours later and asked when I want so see the truck. I aske him to bring it to my work because I took time off and they were playing games. The owner got on the phone and said he would I gave them the address. 1 1/2 hours later Jan calls and says he cannot bring the truck. I will never do business with this lying cheating pot lot and will tell everyone I know about the absolutely horrible bate and switch tactics they pull
