I purchased a jump seat for our 2016 Chrysler Town and Country van from CSO radio in July 2020. The…read moretotal cost including shipping was $685. The seat shipped quickly and we had it installed by a local auto conversion company. If you live in the Lakewood, NJ area, CSO will install the seat for $775 (seat and install). The jump seat isn't perfect. The main drawback is that once installed, the captains chairs no longer tilt forward to increase access to the back row. I understood when I bought the jump seat that we would be giving up the option for stow and go, but I didn't realize the captains chairs wouldn't flip up at all. The back rest does fold forward, but the seat does not flip up like it used to. It's a pretty tight fit to squeeze through to the back row, but thankfully all my kids are pretty little and so far this hasn't been a big problem. The second issue is the jump seat backrest. While the bottom seat portion fits perfectly flush with the two captains chairs, the backrest is significantly narrower than the space between the two chairs, creating gaps on either side. I don't understand why they designed the backrest to be so narrow, but maybe it has something to do with how it fits into other vehicles (since the seat is not specifically designed for the town and country). More importantly, the narrow backrest has a certain flimsiness to it that I find concerning. We have a rear facing car seat base buckled into it, so it doesn't matter right now, but without a rear facing seat I would hesitate to put a child there. It just doesn't seem safe. We initially tried putting one of our forward facing car seats there and while the lap belt made it feel secure on bottom, I'm not convinced the back rest of the jump seat would provide enough resistance in the event of a crash. The third problem is that the lap belt arrived about 3ft longer than it should have been. It's possible that this is an install issue, but our installer said he followed the directions exactly and it resulted in a lap belt that would only tighten enough to accommodate a 400lb male. We had to pay to get the lap belt cut and re-sown. All that said, the jump seat is a pretty low cost solution to the problem of outgrowing our minivan. With the arrival of our 6th child, we thought we would have to purchase a new van - either an 8 seater minivan or a larger passenger van. Even if we bought a used 8 seater minivan, the taxes alone on the purchase would come out to more than we spent on this jump seat. For around $1000 including install, we purchased the opportunity to keep the minivan we already have for at least the next 18mo to 2 years, if not longer. Seems worth it to me!

Dennis went out of his way to fit me in the schedule. Very much appreciated the great service today!read more

Common Vision Transmision And Repairs.

DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN!…read more On 10/3/25, my husband paid Lee Wiles / Common Vision LLC $1,020 (plus a $281 tip) for axle and brake repair. Less than 24 hours later, the car broke down in a dangerous way. AAA confirmed the repair was unsafe and improperly done, and another certified mechanic verified this. The axle came out and nearly caused a serious accident. When I contacted him, instead of refunding the payment, he admitted in text messages that "the axle came out" but refused to return the money. He also tried to deflect responsibility by making inappropriate comments about race and insisted on "fixing" it again -- despite my clear statements that I no longer trusted him after such unsafe work. I have full documentation: receipt, CashApp payment, AAA confirmation, mechanic statement, and text messages from his phone. This needs to be on record to prevent him from scamming and endangering others. He is also not listed with the BBB as a registered business -- but I have filed a complaint so there will now be a record. If he scammed you too, REPORT HIM. Businesses that operate this way do not last. Add On: It's not harassment to ask for my money back after a repair failed in less than 24 hours and almost caused an accident. AAA confirmed the axle came out because of improper work, and a certified mechanic verified this. I provided proof: receipt, CashApp payment, and text messages where Mr. Wiles himself admitted "the axle came out." I made it very clear that I would not allow him to touch my car again after such an unsafe repair. At that point, the only responsible action was to issue a refund. Instead, he refused, deflected responsibility, and made inappropriate comments about race. This is not about being "nice" or "polite." It's about safety, integrity, and accountability. I stand by my review and documentation. Others deserve to know what happened so they can protect themselves. DO NOT TRUST HIM!!

RE: Common Vision. Lee is the kind of mechanic who is passionate about diagnosing car problems and…read morefinding solutions. I found him here on Yelp and hired him for a PPI to look at a 2003 Tiburon. A family member is an enthusiast for these old cars which they wanted to make into a "hot hatch". I met Lee at the dealer, which was a long drive to the dealer for both of us. And of course the car was in a back lot 3 or 4 rows deep. So while waiting for the dealer to find the car and bring it to the front, Lee noticed some teenagers who were there to look at a Civic SI. One of them was checking for rust by knocking his knuckles on the car body. Lee smiled at this and went over to chat with them and before you know it, he was reviewing the car with them, explaining how you really check for rust, opened the hood and began digging into how to tell if this Civic was running well or not. He looks underneath the car by getting on the ground and actually looking. I noticed all the other guys, both the dealer guys and the buyers, were hesitant to do this. I think they were intimidated because he obviously knew much more about engines than they did. I was impressed that Lee has the instincts of an educator. He really wants to not just evaluate the car but to teach others how to examine a car. Eventually the Tiburon appears and then Lee quickly went through his process. He focuses on the engine and doesn't move on from that until all issues are covered. In this case, he zeroed in immediately on the coolant system. It wasn't holding pressure. I watched as he carefully tested and retested and showed the dealer technician that the system was bad and that it was leaking. We had already been there for an hour and a half so it was decided that the dealer would pull a hose from another car ( the dealer was close to a salvage yard) and repair it and then Lee would return to test it again. In the end, even the dealer gave up on this car, he didn't complete any repair and we moved on. But I will have Lee examine any car we are considering. He is an excellent mechanic, fair and honest.
