I bought my car back in July. It is a 2017 VW Beetle. About two weeks ago the warning lights were going off in the car, the car seemed to be running fine. The warning light never shut off. I do not live near Saugus, so I brought the car to my local mechanic, for a diagnostic test. The car should have never past inspection when I bought the car. The car needs 1,800 $ worth of work, I was suggested do not drive the car. It needs 2 new back tires, which when I went to Auto house, they said the tires were fine. My husband looked at the tires and had questions, but they were ignored. I texted Ali and Jason with no response. They said they would check the tires and never did. It also needs right and left wheel bearing on both sides. The car is still under warranty for another 3 weeks. The salesman who I think was Bruce said that everything would be taken care of before I picked up the truck. I didn't buy the truck, but felt like I was treated with respect and professionally. My own financing only covered 2010 or newer and I declined the in house financing. Overall I would do business with this dealership in the future. Quite the facade - not to be trusted... [wrote this a while ago but apparently it never posted and since my car is still having issues thought I'd make sure it was on the record]. I bought a "certified" Audi from these people earlier this year [2011] and had much more than my fair share of trouble with it. It seemed like a great deal initially; low mileage, perfect condition exterior except for a few scrapes on the bumper and a few other cosmetic things - all of which AutoHouseUSA told me would be replaced, as new. And of course, the car had supposedly undergone its rigorous "86 point inspection". To make a long story short, they botched the bumper fix with a color that doesn't match, the timing belt snapped on the highway causing interior engine damage, the front shocks and two tires didn't pass inspection and the fuel gauge and dashboard component failed, leaving me stranded twice. I worked out that I didn't actually have the car in consistently working order until 10 weeks after purchasing it! To their credit,they honored the 30 day warranty, and also ended up paying for a rental for ten days, but they did also made me pay for a $250 tow to get it repaired at their own shop, and $100 deductible each time something went wrong. After the third big expensive incident (still within 30 days) the owner got a little nasty on the phone (cursing at me) because he was now losing money on the car. But I suppose trying to swindle people does come back to bite you sometimes. Clearly my car was not inspected as thoroughly as they had claimed, and thank heavens all this happened within the 30 day warranty. I suspect any positive reviews being written here are by the owners themselves. Be warned. read more

The car had just come in and i was pleased to see them detailing the car and redoing the brakes prior to selling it. this place is very small but has relatively high end cars and no junk. I've read the reviews here, before making the decision. I must admit I was very apprehensive about making the purchase based on these reviews. I met the dealer in their other location to simply look at the car. I searched online, searched other dealers and private sales. This was price wise, the best deal going for the car and price I wanted to pay. I didn't negotiate. I didn't haggle. The car was purchased, picked up and had a minor problem which they took care of immediately and without incident. Car Sales people are all slime. Like Politicians it just goes without saying. I never buy new, I keep the used cars for as long as they will last given basic minimum maintenance and wear and tear. But these guys are no different than any other dealer who wants your money for as little effort as possible. Not so sure how a dealer can stay in business if all the customers hate them. I must be the one that kept them in business. Brian did what he could to meet my needs. Mike simply handled the paperwork and tried cross selling a "lifetime" warranty. Given I only have an unexpected time to live, I didn't buy it, nor do I ever given the randomness of life. Do your due diligence and look around. They are a dealership, remember that. In more ways than one it gives you more leverage than doing a private sale in the state of Massachusetts anyways. Don't impulse buy and speak with the people at the dealership, CHECK the carfax and details before making a final decision. Everything up to the sale of the car was fine. I bought a 2011 Audi A6 WITH bumper to bumper warranty for the next 6 years as well.SO I'M GOLDEN RIGHT? nope! lol (really not funny but what can you do but laugh) They assured they check all their cars and they dont buy junk so the car is fine! (like any salesman would). He did not budge on the price but gave me a slightly better deal on the warranty (he probably knew what was in store for me in my near future) The day i bought the car i was given two keys but only one worked. When i asked about the battery Bruce said "yeah that's easy just get a battery". I legit had to explain to him that I just gave them over $20k and couldn't get two working keys? (FIRST RED FLAG) That day I set up a diagnostics with a Audi Dealership. The morning of (3 days after purchase) as i turn my car on there is a loud grinding (timing chain tensioners). i bring it to Audi they advise i can get it fixed if i want but its going to cost and it requires a lot of hours to remove the engine. As the timing chain is now functioning (just makes a very irritating sound from time to time) it is not honored under warranty. i wonder what the likelihood they never hear this sound? I will never know now because it is my issue. thankfully i have warranty but still a headache. The diagnostics also showed that i had a faulty battery. Something you would think would be part of the pre-sale inspection? NOPE! so my options were to get the battery replaced on my own or travel back to Saugus, not have my car for a day (they don't have/offer courtesy car). Also, calling them is like playing musical chairs. seems like no matter what my issue is, chances are when i call, i am not talking to the guy who can help me (which prolongs everything). and instead of them taking a note and calling you back (well they took the note that i called), the expectation is that you call them back, again , again, & again until the right person is there. A week later i am driving and my car overheats. I bring this up to them, they tell me to take it up with the dealer since i have warranty. I bring up the fact i feel as if i should not have to pay for a deductible as i haven't even had my car a month and it is having several issues already (faulty testing battery, timing chain tensionsers, now thermostat, and later the headlight). I felt these issues were preexisting and possibly known. Of course they denied knowing of any of these issues and had to go to the dealer. The dealer had my car for a week. also had to come into work late in order to go to the dealer. not to mention that i was stranded in Brockton when it overheated. Instead of the deductible being $100 dollars the fee came to $193 because of other fees and parts. (I've had third party warranties in the past, i have never had to pay almost double my deductible because of things that were not covered but associated with the repair.). Bryan agreed to pay the difference ONLY because i took it upon myself to replace the battery. I have been waiting since 8/4/2017 for the reimbursement check and haven't even received a call (it is now 8/22/2017). I've spoken with Bruce several times since then and he has not had any info; just gives me another day to call in as if they are completely incapable of coordinating among themselves (again some real separation between church and state here). They all seem to be unaware of what the other is doing (Jason, Bryan, Bruce). If this is the case, then this is just poor business practice and they need to learn how to have more transparency/ better communication among themselves. (I personally believe there is just no desire to be privy to one another's info ) The most recent issue occurred when i was driving at night and my right light began to go in and out (1 month). when i spoke to Bruce he told me to call their mechanic. he asked me what do i want him to do as if he was incapable of ensuring I receive a call back. i quote "what do you want me to do, stick him in a trashcan" when i politely insisted that he follow up since its been 4 days since i originally called and left voicemails. smh due to online pricing, dealers small or big don't tend to budge on their price. So now I paid top dollar for a bottom dollar customer service. n Aug. 2017, I bought a 2008 Jeep from Auto House. I left the car for 10 days for the dealership to finish getting the car ready for pickup yet also had to drop it off 4 times the following 2 weeks after purchase due to repair issues with the vehicle. Since purchasing the vehicle, I have had to spend 1200 dollars in repairs to this vehicle and still have another 1300 in repairs that are left to be done due to faulty issues with the car, tires, and to repair an accident that was never disclosed to me. I had to do a $500 brake job in late September because calipers on both front wheel were cracked and made the car wobble. Three of the five tires on the car have bumps on them and make the car wobble if I drive over 60 Mph. I had to spend almost $500 dollars to have the rear tire removed from the car, an issue the dealership knew about and couldn't fix, only to find out that the reason they never removed the tire was that the car was in an accident prior to my purchasing it and was damaged along with the bracket that holds the tire on the car that had to be replaced. I was never told about this accident and it doesn't show up in the Carfax report. Before purchasing the car, I asked that the windshield, which had a crack in it and the rearview mirror which had rust around the edges, to be replaced. They were not. I had to replace them both, costing me over 300 dollars. "Every vehicle undergoes our rigorous inspection and clearance process, ensuring the utmost confidence in our dealership and our vehicles." This is the promise that Autohouse makes to it's customers and it is not true. If this car was inspected, it was not done correctly and there was no process. Instead, it seemed to be hasty and they were only concerned about money. I have contacted the owner to be compensated for the money I have had to put on the vehicle and was refused. If they stood by there motto, I would never have spend this much money to fix a vehicle I was promised was inspected and ready to go. read more

I bought an Audit and they upsold me into a $3500 Premium aftermarket warranty because of all the cars electronics.. OK, I bought it as I could understand one time in service would pay for itself. Exactly 2 months to the exact day after I bought it, my open hood sensor came on, my alarm would go off within a minute of locking the car. I took the car in for service at IRA Audi on 114 (Jim there is AWESOME!), needed a new hatch. $700 not covered by the PREMIUM Warranty! 1st off, exactly 2 months after I bought it 2 things went wrong, then the upsell shit warranty they sold me doesn't cover anything!!!! Waste of $3500!!! My advice, seriously, keep driving, go to a real dealership, AUDI, BMW, CHEVY, whatever it may be, and buy from them.. They at least will cover their own vehicles.. I recently bought an '09 Acura MDX from Brian, the GM of Auto House, and had a very good experience. Keep in mind that nearly all of the cars there are fairly high-mileage, and you're going into a deal knowing that it's a used car and there's going to be some imperfections. That being said, my car was very clean, paint looked brand new and it had 70k miles on it. There were some missing things (Nav DVD, headphones, rear wiper blade), but Brian promised to address all those things so the car was complete and he kept his word. Had a great experience with their F&I guy as well - found the best deal for me, and was very friendly. So, overall, I'd recommend them and go there again. We settled on a price and the salesman said what roughly my monthly price would be with my good credit. Got a call a couple of days later telling me my price was $40 more a month than what we agreed. I asked what the rate was going to be, he told me 6.9% (which was an outrageously high rate). I hung up, did the math and he was lying to me. The math didn't even add up. They were trying to screw me. Anyway, we finally figured it out and I really wanted the car. They agreed to let my mechanic in Quincy check it out before I bought it. I picked up the car to drive to the mechanic. As I was on the Zakim bridge, I noticed THERE WAS NO GAS IN THE CAR. Completely empty! So about 1/2 mile later I break down in the southbound tunnel. HORRIBLE. Had to get towed to a gas station to get gas to make it to Quincy. In the end, my mechanic said there were problems with the car and told me not to buy it. We called in advance to make sure a certain car was still available and we were told yes. They said they would have it out front and ready for us. When we got there which was over an hour away, the car didn't seem like it was moved from the regular spot it was in. We looked over the car and decided we wanted to go for a test drive however the car was low on gas. When we asked about the gas we received rude comments like "how long are you going to drive for" and "we close soon". It was over an hour to closing and we also were not familiar with the area so having a little more gas than 15 miles to empty would have been nice. We brought up that we had called in advance but still were treated with the rude comments. As we were going out the door for the test drive one of the workers got annoyed that we would make a reasonable request for gas and got in my friends face yelling and swearing at him. When we said we would just leave instead, all 3 workers, one being the owner, joined this employee with swearing at us. The owner suggested I come back alone without my friend if I was interested in the car. I told him I would not being doing that. They followed us to our car continuing to yell at us. I ended up buying a car the next day from a different dealer with no issues. read more
