    Made an appt online at the McGovern website for an oil change and replace the car battery. Day of…read morethe appointment brought the car in to the dealership main lot, parked in the Service Department section, went in and was told they do the oil changes and smaller repairs at a different location. To get to the other location, need to get on Rt 1 North, loop back onto Rt.1 South as the location is near the old Sears Auto repair next the Square One Mall. It's Jiffy Lube or similar. Go in, tell them I have an appt, lady tells me they don't take appts and there are about 4 people ahead of me, then asks for all of the owner and vehicle info that I already entered on the McGovern Ford website. The lady explains their computer system doesn't link to McGoverns. I left. Nothing on the McGovern website about this 'offsite' arrangement for certain services. Not a good experience.

The service was reset for the following Friday 2/20/26. I arrived at 8:30 as requested and was summarily told that they did not have the part and could not do the repair today. I declined that offer and called Danvers Ford. The first thing the man there said was " let me see if we have the part in stock", they did BTW. I believe that whomever booked my appointment in Beverly should have cjecked that as well. The fact that it is not done as a standard procedure makes me think the sevice manager their may be in over his head and needs some help. The woman I spoke to this morning should have his job. I will never ever go to McGovern Ford anywhere after this experience.

He responded right away and set up time for me and my wife to come to the dealership and test drive the car. When we arrived, the car was even better than we expected. We test drive the car and knew right away that we wanted it. Alex helped us every step of the way with financing and he gave us a great deal with the decent percentage and he also was incredibly patient with the paperwork and walked us through the entire process. I don't write a lot of these reviews, but when I have a great experience I give the credit. I will definitely share this experience with my friends.     At the time of purchase on March 20, I was told--and it was put in writing--that several issues…read morewould be addressed prior to delivery, including the tires and warning lights. I picked up the vehicle on April 1. On April 6th, an independent mechanic found several issues that had not been addressed, including concerns with the O2 sensors, exhaust system, error codes, and worn tires. That evening while driving on the highway with my kids in the car multiple warning lights came on and the car began shaking while driving. We had to arrange towing back to the dealership at our own expense. While they did perform some repairs (including replacing the O2 sensors (these are brand new!), a follow-up inspection still showed that the exhaust will likely need replacement, the radiator was not actually new, and the Run-Flat tires had been repaired rather than replaced. Overall, the vehicle was not delivered in the condition promised, and we spent significant time arranging transportation and following up. I would strongly recommend having any vehicle independently inspected before purchase. Based on this experience, I would proceed with caution.

The vehicle listing was accurate and met my expectations upon arrival to Wakefield. I flew in from Alaska to pick up this vehicle and drive it back up the Alcan, a very strenuous and treacherous drive for any vehicle. My SUV performed flawlessly even Better than what I had expected. Alex who now I would like to call a friend along with the Wakefield staff, had my best interests as his top priority. They went out of their way to have my vehicle safety inspected, cleaned, and a new oil change to ensure it was prepared for the arduous journey across the North American continent. Alex and the others at Wakefield are real people and they will treat you as you treat them, in my case with respect and care for each others business and well being. I have never had a used auto sales team take care of me the way Wakefield Auto Gallery did, Incredible.
