Although the first appointment made us apprehensive, the second one went much better. The tech (Joshua), called when he was about 20 minutes out and showed up shortly after. He was incredibly friendly, helpful and informative. The whole replacement took about an hour and he even vacuumed all the remaining glass out of the back of the vehicle. While the insurance paid for the entire repair, the invoice that we received did reflect a price that I felt was reasonable (under $400 for the glass itself and installation).

From the beginning, the shop manager, Charlie, insisted that we pay for the services separately from our insurance claim. He texted my son, who is the owner of the vehicle, and assured him that our insurance company would reimburse him after the work was completed. I contacted our insurance company directly, and they told me that this was not correct. According to our insurance company, Novus Glass would be reimbursed directly after the services were completed. After filing the insurance claim, both my son and I repeatedly tried to contact Charlie, but he would not return our calls and did not respond to our text messages. I then contacted Novus Glass corporate and was given the phone number for the franchise owner, Mark. I explained the situation to Mark. He essentially told us that they were not being paid directly by insurance companies and that we should follow Charlie's instructions. I pointed out that Novus Glass' own website states that they work directly with insurance companies for payment. Mark said he would speak with Charlie and get back to me. He never did. After receiving no resolution or follow-up, I ultimately had to cancel the insurance claim with Novus Glass and have the work completed by another company. The entire experience was unnecessarily difficult, and the lack of communication from both the shop manager and franchise owner was extremely disappointing. Based on our experience, I would recommend getting the payment and insurance process confirmed in writing before allowing this company to perform any work.

Unfortunately, the lady who took my payment was pretty rude and made me feel like I was inconveniencing her. After talking with my driver afterward, he mentioned that she had been pretty rude to him in person as well. He said she was on a personal phone call for most of the hour he was there and was yelling at the person she was speaking with, which made everyone in the waiting area uncomfortable. We completely understand that personal things come up, sometimes at the worst times, but handling something like that in front of customers just isn't very professional. We've had a lot of good experiences with AutoGlass Now over the years, so we're not letting one bad experience take away from that. When Jay came outside to inspect my systems wiring, he immediately noticed that the other shop had failed to secure the wire to my battery properly--it actually came undone just from him slightly touching it! Jay quickly wrote up a service agreement, and got my vehicle into their garage for the installers to give everything a thorough inspection. They properly fastened the cable to my battery terminal, checked the ground connection, and cleaned up the messy cable management left by the other shop. Additionally, they inspected the rest of the wiring to ensure there were no other issues. Knowing everything is now secure and professionally installed gives me such peace of mind.
