Francisco and company came to do a "repair" on one of my work vans. The van was having an issue turning over, and after charging me $55 for an inspection (I was notified of the fee AFTER the inspection), Francisco and his worker determined that I needed a new starter. The problem is after paying $500 for a new starter, my van still wouldn't start. After hours of trial and error, the mechanic decided to clean my battery terminals. Once finished, the mechanic determined it was a dirty terminal/battery issue, and not the starter. I could have cleaned the battery terminals for free. I could have bought a new kit for the terminals for $20 on Amazon. Instead, I'm out $500 for a starter I didn't need. I tried looking for a solution with Francisco. I tried to be understanding as I am a business owner as well, and I know mistakes happen. However, Francisco only offered me my $55 inspection fee back. At first, I was insulted. I could have a asked for a complete refund. But then I thought to myself, I'll just take the $55 and be done with this problem. We are going on 4 days, I have been left on read multiple times, and am still waiting on the $55. I tried to be nice but instead feel taken advantage of. I wish I would have read the reviews on this mechanic before even approaching him. Every negative review seems to be the customers fault never his and that odd to start off. When i asked for a quote it went from $1,400 then he bumped it up to $2,650 then again bumped it up to $3,252 and wasn't done yet he either missed something on the estimate or had not done a job like this before because after all that he wanted another $440 because he didn't realize that when removing lifters, cam and timing chain you have to out the engine back on time, thats some mechanic but even then i agreed to pay but only to catch his worker trying to add water into my coolant reservoir like if he didnt know that water doesn't mix with all coolants. The day after he " finished" I realized 3 bolts on the cylinder head were broken when i brought this up the answer was " we dont fix that so thats why the mechanic didnt even bring it up".. after that i realized that my oil pressure had dropped significantly and his answer to that is that my oil pump had suddenly gone bad. Thats same day my car got a check engine for a lean condition and as days passed i got another code for a cylinder misfire then another code for random cylinders misfiring. The only thing my vehicle had was a tick but after these guys worked on it came with way more and worst problems. After notifying francisco of all this he just stopped replying. Sad and unfortunate when a business/business owner dont take accountability for their poor performance. we had the money that was quoted to us for the job your mechanic, the people you hire dont know how to perform the job you as their owner hires them to do. That has nothing to do with our money. Again you quoted something that didn't get fix. Your employe breaks parts from our truck thats on camera that you don't take responsibility for. instead want to charge us more. Now on yelp you can answer but through text you ghosted us. I was quoted a "flat rate" price for simple brake flush job. Guy sends a "helper", then got told he doesn't have the equipment or supplies and needs to make a dash to autozone. Then returns and says he needs special equipment and call his "boss" to come. At the end it all it took almost 3hrs for a job that should have been 30-60mins. Charges me for extra work time instead of flat rate. Will not recommend. Brakes still feel soft and spongy. Will have to get the service done again at dealer. This guy is not professional. He will not do a complete job and he won't advise you if there is any additional services needed. We hired this guy and asked him to replace oil pan in our car. The person he sent came in, replaced the pan and when we turned on the car, there was a big oil leak. We asked him what happened, he said there was a seal that needed to be replaced. When we asked him why he didn't fix it completely, he said, "you only hired me to replace to oil pan." After getting quoted high amount dealer and other shops to replace brakes and rotors on my Audi Q5, I contacted Francisco and he was super helpful over text. They did not fix the problem then ghosted me. 2 weeks ago A mobile mechanic was dispatched to address the issue with the spark plugs, as my car was unable to exceed 40 mph and exhibited performance struggles. The mechanic arrived promptly within a few hours and completed the work swiftly--impressive efficiency, indeed. Initially, the car seemed to operate smoothly on the drive home, yet it was apparent the underlying issue remained unresolved; the vehicle continued to struggle. Upon contacting the service provider to report the unresolved issue the following day , they assured me they would seek an immediate solution and asked for a brief five-minute wait. However, subsequent attempts to follow up resulted in no answer. Further communication attempts, including messages on yelp and texts--which initially received responses--eventually led to silence once I provided details of my car's make and model. Persistence in reaching out the following day and beyond, through at least ten calls and five voicemails, yielded no response. Meanwhile, the car's condition deteriorated, culminating in a complete loss of acceleration and eventually stalling on the freeway during my commute home. My car overheated as I was driving home to my house a few weeks ago and Francisco came to check it out for me. While there he told me that, although he works mobile, my car needed a new radiator and head gasket and oil pan and that it was a multiple day job but that he could take care of it. He seemed trustworthy so I left my car to his care. He said although the job would normally take a week between getting parts and getting it into a machine shop and then the labor that he would try to get it done in five days because he knew I had an out of town trip planned. His estimate after diagnosing my car was at least a thousand dollars cheaper than if I would have taken it to the dealership. He did ask me to pay for the parts up front but I understood that, was reasonable. He kept me updated daily on the repairs. Francisco did a really great job doing a pre-purchase inspection for an old used car I was looking to buy off Craigslist. With the amount of scammers/liars on Craigslist nowadays, especially when it comes to used cars, I felt it was smart to get an inspection before handing over the money. However, its COVID, and a lot of places are booked up or closed. also, the car's registration was expired and seller wasn't okay with me taking it to a nearby shop.
