They used the $50 deposit to lose a customer instead of giving time or more options to pay since I waited 3 full days to even be contacted. You don't build long-term value by treating people like this. You make your money from repeat business and referrals, not one rushed sale that alienates everyone. All this did was guarantee I'll never come back and actively pushed me straight to your competitor, which turned out to be a way better experience. He was responsive, professional, no pressure tactics. All anyone has to do is look on Yelp: the guy who is second with 718 five-star reviews is the one to go to. There's a reason you multiple accounts with reviews: the inconsistency shows. One bad interaction like this costs you a customer forever and now a negative review that future people will see. How you treat people matters just as much as (if not more than) the product or service. This experience screamed "we don't value you until you pay," and it backfired spectacularly. The person who quoted me told me my tire had already been patched 3x and it was illegal to patch the tire again. (This is untrue, which I know because I take care of my own car - and it is NOT against the law.) I have the printed quote. My intuition told me this was not correct and I requested they put the tire back on so I could go elsewhere. They told me they would only give me a 'loaner tire' because it was unsafe to put my tire back on. I refused and had to go into the service area and demand the original tire back. Once it was back on, I drove down the street to another place that looked at the tire, said it lost a few pounds of air, filled it, and I was on my way in 10 min. The tire has been 100% fine since - it is now more than a month later. During this timeframe I've also been to the dealership for a scheduled maintenance and they found nothing wrong with the tire. My car is less than 3 yrs old. It's so disheartening to see businesses try to take advantage of customers who they assume don't know any better. Please do not go here and have them take your money dishonestly! I have been going to Davis Bros Tires on and off for years and recommended them to others.
