I called the shop to let them know what happened, and instead of any concern or willingness to look into it, I was told patches have "no warranty" and that they don't give refunds. The tone was dismissive, and I was told "come on man, listen to what you're saying," which was surprising given the safety aspect of what happened. For clarity: a tire that is unsafe to repair should not be patched after an inspection, and a tire that is safe to repair should not suffer a catastrophic failure immediately afterward. Either way, this was not handled responsibly. I'm documenting everything, but wanted to leave an honest account in the meantime so others are aware.
