I contacted AAA and had the truck towed 80 miles to R & R. Kevin called 2 days later to tell me that it had a broken exhaust pipe at the manifold, and they could repair it for $450. We drove from Grants Pass back to Shasta Lake to pick it up and headed back towards home. About 5 miles from home the truck started making the exact same noise. When I got it it home I pulled the exhaust/catalytic converters and discovered the repair had failed. I contacted Kevin and he asked what I wanted to do. I told him I would order a new exhaust/catalytic converter and install it myself, because I didn't want to drive the 2 1/2 hours back to the shop. Kevin told me to order the parts and he would reimburse me the entire amount, which I did. I provided the amount to Kevin and received a check from him in a few days. Not only did Kevin stand behind his work, he went the extra mile by reimbursing me for the parts. I can't say enough about the level of customer service Kevin provided! I highly recommend them as a trustworthy shop.

I want to go anywhere except R&R. My partner decides to go back to R&R because the first oil change was included in the original price we paid. So he goes. Nope $79! Also Rick is great at sounding reasonable but in reality once challenged or questioned he sulks and grumbles. I know rebuild take time and I know how old my suzuki is. I find it interesting that there is no mention of the fact the gaskets blew because after a previous repair the idle was so high it blew them. FRO!

After AAA told me that there were no mechanics available in Redding over the weekend (which was a lie, there just weren't any in their own network), I cruised / pushed my car to their shop on a Saturday, where they immediately diagnosed it and gave me an honest assessment of what it would take to get fixed. Thankfully, they managed to source the part that I had needed relatively easily since they just had another Mazda customer that went through the same issue, and didn't charge me for the week that I had to leave my car in their lot. It's the little things that matter - and when me and my three dogs were overheated and stressed while waiting, they actually went to the corner store and got each one of my dogs a puppy ice cream to keep them cool. After that, they probably could have robbed me blind and I wouldn't have cared.

Why would I pay to have the car checked again? I called Dublin Honda, hoping they would work with Crown Honda, and get it checked for free. Guess what? Dublin Honda doesn't warranty their work, just the part. I ended up going to an O'Reilly Auto Parts store in Redding. A nice man checked the car for free but unfortunately he couldn't get a read from the car's computer. He recommended I go see Norm and spoke highly of him. Norm took a look at the car for free, gave me a recommendation, reset the computer and sent me on my way. He was so nice, respectful, and understanding. He took the stress away while on vacation and for that I'm so grateful. We need more men like Norm, in this world, especially in the world of auto repair. Thank you Norm!!

I didn't want to make another local appointment to drop my vehicle off and have it serviced whenever someone got around to it. So, based on positive reviews, I took a chance on making an appointment with Norm's and drove there for service. There was a miscommunication on my model but Norm ordered and received the correct parts in town quickly once that was resolved. I was able to drive away in a couple of hours and arrived back home by the afternoon. It was no hassle at all. Norm took a couple of minutes at the end to explain to me how I could do some more visual diagnostics on the vehicle myself, quickly pointing out a few relevant parts with his flashlight. He obviously didn't have to do that, but this is going to save me a lot of time later. The prices were very fair. When I looked up the services on Google for approximately what they should cost, Norm charged me around that amount. He also said for some things he wouldn't charge too much extra for if I wanted them done at the same time. This was much different than places I am used to who will charge me twice for taking apart the same thing once. Even with $50 in gasoline, the service was very affordable. I'll be spending all my vehicle maintenance budget with Norm as long as his business is still open. I'd be confident to recommend this business to anyone who has a Honda. My vehicle now runs a lot better than it did before and I feel like the money I spent went to someone who deserves it for quality work and excellent customer service.
