BEWARE You Will Be Scammed Here: This is a scam shop that will rip you off. This is not a family…read morebusiness it was taken over by the original owners son who is nothing but a crook. They depend on customers who don't know about complex European cars, systems, and programming/diagnostics to rip you off. When you bring your car here they will charge you a diagnostic fee, perform no diagnostics however, tell you the repairs will be thousands of dollars to get your car running again. I was personally told the problem was a small module that flailed and would cost hundreds to replace then given a diagnostic report stating it would cost $3000+ to replace entire vehicle computer systems that failed and require replacement to get my European car running again. I asked repeatedly for diagnostic decision trees to verify how they came to that conclusion. They were unable to verify their own diagnoses. Towed the vehicle out of this scam shop and put in a $150 fuel pump that was the issue. The service is great! The scammers are nice! And the shop is clean (they don't actually work on cars here just diagnose expensive scams). It looks like a legitimate business but you will be scammed. Business owner responded trying to say it's not their shop which is just more deception. Beware of this shop.

Engine light came back on 2 days later and was told to bring it back to them so they could diagnose again to see what was wrong. Long story short and 2 more return trips to their shop and $1,100 later my truck still wasn't fixed and had a check engine light on. Won't ever return to this place, seems like someone doesn't know how to do auto repair.

Took my vehicle here because of an oil leak and the oil leak was not fixed. Not only that but once I got it home it all of a sudden had a hard time starting. Decided to take it somewhere else because it seemed like there were more issues after taking it here one thing after another like AC went out and more.. and the first place couldn't figure out why its having a hard time starting now and found it really weird. The second place said there is a defect in the Engine and there should be a warranty because it seems new. PROBLEM is that the old owner at Buds did everything on paper files and when asking them to find it they said they couldn't. So I got burnt on an engine even though they should honor the fact that I bought it through them! I do not have $6-10k AGAIN to buy another engine. I do not recommend going to them because things seem worse now and this place is not what it used to be since the business was sold. I am out thousands of dollars and I dont know what to do about my engine if they can't honor it.

I bought very expensive aftermarket bulbs but discovered the front bumper must be removed to change the light housing which I also wanted to replace. I saw this body shop had high stars on Yelp so I called to ask if they would perform the work. Their immediate response was "no" and "we don't do that kind of work and only install OEM components." I kindly asked " do you recommend anyone else that will do this work for me?". Immediate "nope, you'll just have to call around" They were about as helpful as a broken fence post and could care less in my opinion. My next phone call was to Underhood Automotive. Immediately helpful and professional. Chris said they do this kind of work all the time and install DOT legal headlights on older Shasta County Search and Rescue vehicles. Every single question I asked was answered. I live 4 hours away from Redding so coordinating this was somewhat of a Challenge. Chris even told me my mom's car had loud squeeking brakes and he would inspect those as well. Strong Automotive has high stars so I'm guessing their body work is pretty good but customer service is also very important and in this department, they have a long way to go.
