This review applies to Auto Check Center's smog testing service. This is a Star testing center, for vehicles that require the specialized testing, as well as the standard testing. In addition, the Center provides mechanical repair. I've been taking my cars here for years, and the staff has never failed to provide fast, friendly, and reliable service. I took my vehicle there today, and found the same consistently good service that they have always provided. The pricing is very competitive, especially if you have a coupon. Even though the Check Center has a steady stream of customers, they've always managed to get my cars checked out in a reasonable amount of time. The car repair bays always seem clean and orderly. The office does have some seats for waiting customers, but I prefer to use their outside waiting area, which consists of a large canopy with comfortable patio chairs. I haven't had the chance to use their repair services, but I've observed that the steady stream of customers always seem satisfied. I'll continue to bring my vehicles to Auto Check Center, and based on my long-time patronage, I can easily recommend this business. read more

Test technician has a permanent scowl on his face. Acted like I was there to bother him lol. Test went well and smooth, but the kicker is they tried to sell me brake service that wasn't even needed. Good thing I'm a procrastinator, cause I just went to Toyota to get my oil change (3 months later) and they said brakes were fine. Pretty good prices. Definitely check for coupons. Came here for an oil change and ended up needing to change my brake pads as well. Definitely took a little longer than expected, at least for the oil change, but at least there are a number of restaurants within a short walking distance to eat at. There are a number of car dealers as well all in the area you can walk around to as well to look at some cars. The store's master auto mechanic Preston is an OUTSTANDING auto repair expert, super nice guy and a great professional who delivers on what he says. Preston oversaw the electrical and emissions/smog work on my son's old Toyota Corolla. Despite all the many hidden complex and interrelated problems from the old car Preston patiently diagnosed the issues and took the time to work through what he could fix for a fair price. More importantly he was very clear on what to avoid fixing to save us money. The shop worked hard, did a great job, were very friendly, patient, professional, highly skilled and gave us a great fair price for all the work they did! I went to another place to get my brakes checked and they wanted to charge me $600 and when I brought it here for a smog check the guys wanted to inform me that I need pads and when asking about the rotors and we're not pushy at all! The other place said I needed new ones!!!! These gentlemen said that the rotors aren't bad and recommended I just get ceramic pads for a faction of the price! I highly recommend coming here! read more
