Willie is awesome! I had problems with my car idling weird. I took it to a transmission shop and a mechanic. Both couldn't figure out what it was, except the transmission shop said it could be electrical and referred us here. Willie took my car in and kept me informed through out the day about what he was doing or looking for. At the end of the day he said he couldn't figure out the problem, when I went back the next day to pick it up he said "I thought of one more thing and here it is!" He fixed the problem for me and it has been running like a champ since. I was so humbled by his hard work and honesty, I left my truck there when I picked up my car. I told him the break lights weren't working, even though we had changed the bulbs and fuse. Later that day he said he fixed it by changing out one break light socket that had gone bad. It was shorting out the entire function. He fixed both my cars in a 2 days, when other places couldn't figure out what was wrong. He was honest and thorough and I didn't break the bank. My car was brought to this shop to figure out why it sometimes just suddenly don't start which could be an electrical problem within. Willie ran all sorts of test, didn't find a problem anywhere and the car didn't give him trouble starting. He kept the car overnight just to be sure he has done everything to find the problem. I had my Ford Bronco towed to Auto Center Electric because it wouldn't start. Willy called me back and said that my Pertronix aftermarket electronic ignition was bad and needed to be replaced. I got Willie the parts and Willy called and said it was done and was running fine. I picked it up and it was $340 which I paid in cash and my bad he didn't give me a receipt and I didn't ask for one. I get it home and now my turn signals work when the key is off and the headlights, brake lights, and side marker lights don't work and they worked prior to taking it in to this shop. I take it back a month later and he doesn't remember me or my Bronco and says I need to make an appointment. I take it to another shop and they find that Willy ran an extra hot wire to my ignition (unknown why) and that's why my turn signals work with the key off. The other lights that were not working were all burned out from some type of power surge. It's unknown what Willy did to cause a power surge and the alternator and the rest of the charging system all checked out fine. $460 for another shop to fix what Willy screwed up and to replace all the blown up bulbs and headlights that worked prior to Willy working on my Bronco. read more

Willy is very knowledgeable about everything electric in a car. He repaired my rear power window in my 1962 Cadillac and got it working perfectly, when another shop who installed the motor never could get it correct. Then he hard wired my Lexus SUV for my mobility lift and did it perfect. Even added a plug so it could be removed easily if needed. I never even thought of that when I asked him to hard wire it. I was skeptical at first but I have been to Willy a few times now over the last six years.. He is amazing, thorough, honest and extremely fair priced. I came in to him for one thing and he fixed this other minor thing when he was done at no cost. Generous! Dont let his eccentric style and accent fool you. He is really really good and honest. Willy is a good, honest guy with a good sense of humor and I highly recommend you roll in and check him out. My son's 2002 Ford Explorer (it's a former news vehicle that I bought from work at KFI AM-640) had a major electrical problem: It wouldn't come out of park, the brake lights, dome light, radio, power windows and door locks all stopped working. I checked all fuses and relays, did a Google search and found Willy. Whew! It was a good move. Willy checked it out and figured it out. He did some rewiring and that did the trick. I was ready to pay $500 to $1000 but he SHOCKED me with the price: $278. At that price, I could afford 2 electrical problems. You KNOW that if I went to the dealer it would have cost me at least 3 times as much and would have taken twice as long to get it done. The moral of this story is: The next time I have an electrical problem in my car, I'm going to see Willy. read more

I got my smog check here and it was $40 for a 2006 SUV. Not the absolute cheapest but definitely a good price and nice quick service! The guys that work here are really nice and do good, honest work. I've been here for a few car issues and every time I get a good price and also it's done in a reasonable amount of time. This particular place is located on 8th street, west of Vineyard. There is a string of auto repair/smog places and this one is kind of in the first "pod" of buildings if you are headed west on 8th. There's a giant American flag in the front, can't miss it. This place isn't particular hospitable to those who want to wait while their car gets fixed so I would drop the car off and uber elsewhere or get someone to pick you up and go have lunch somewhere local. Not to say you can't but it's not really set up for comfort. Just let the guys do what they do and come back when the work is done. It seems like these guys really care about their work and so I'm happy to highly recommend them. read more

106º and my car a/c won't work. I went to an a/c shop and he told me the a/c was fine but I had an electrical problem and he didn't fix those. Se he sent me across the street to an auto electrical place. The guy there started to gave me this story about how difficult it is to diagnose electrical... it could take days and then more days to fix it... blah-blah-blah. Being new to the area, I called my cousin and she said, "No! Take it to my guy in Rancho- Auto Center Electric. We've been going to him for years!" So I did. From the minute I called and spoke to Willy, I knew he was a great guy because right off the bat he was so helpful and said bring it on over right now and even gave me directions to the place. His diagnostic fee was half what the other guy wanted and he'd put it toward the cost to repair it. I asked him about another problem with my car and he said he'd look at it for me. He was so willing to help and you just don't find that very often these days! And he's funny! Long story-short, I left it with him and he called around 1:30 with what he found and the estimate and I told him to go ahead and he said he'd try his best to have it done by the end of the day! I was thrilled as i thought I'd be without a car the whole weekend. At 4:00 he called and said, "I have some good news and some bad news." I held my breath and said what is it? He said, "The good news is you can come pick up your car and the bad news is you need to bring a sweater because it's freezing inside!" That's Willy! So upbeat and friendly, willing to help and gets the job done! Plus he said he does all kinds of auto repair, not just electrical. When I picked up the car he told me he looked at the other thing I asked about and said he had fixed it at no extra charge! The a/c was blasting and I was in heaven! What a relief to have confidence in an auto shop and have such a great guy to work with! I didn't get the other man's name who helped with my car, but he also went out of his way to fix a few other things that has been broken and bugging me. Willy is awesome! He is very honest. He is an excellent mechanic who can fix all your car problems. Our Civic was acting up for almost 2 weeks. Some days it will start with no problem and some days we have to wait a couple of minutes to start it again. When we brought it to an autoshop, they couldn't find anything wrong with it until one day it did not start at all. We towed it to Auto Center Electric. Willy was not there when we came. We dropped off our keys with a note in his office. He called us immediately and started working on the car. Within a few hours, he told us that the starter needs to be replaced. He was going to fix it the same day but when he got the parts needed for the car, he was not satisfied with the quality of the part and had to return to it. He wanted to make sure we are getting the top quality for our car. We got the car the next day and it is working very well. He is also reasonable with his price. We are very impressed with his skills and will definitely come back to him for all our car needs. read more

I am only giving this place 1 star because I can't give it 0. I brought my car here over a month ago and this guy is a joke. He told me that it was the PCM broken and that we needed to replace that. We were contacting a company to get a replacement PCM. This was a week ago and the mechanic was only authorized to diagnose the car. Today I got a call that my car was fixed and the bill is $800 dollars. I never once authorized him to fix my car. The man tells me that he got authorization from a lady named Julie, no one I know and that he fixed the timing belt and the water pump. This man never told me that my water pump or timing belt were broken and never got authorization to fix my car. This auto center is a joke and I recommend you never take your car here unless you want to be ripped off and taken advantage of. read more
