When I went to purchase a vehicle, I had the best service ever from Sergio, the Carfather helping me, he and his team, worked diligently to help me find and get the vehicle I was happy with. It was a slightly used vehicle that needed a few things, including some service that was due and they said they would take care of everything, they did not, I waited over 2 weeks to get started on getting the service done, I had told them the vehicle did not have a jack, in case of a flat tire, they said they would get that as well! After 2 months, I still have not received service or missing items from them, in fact never heard back from anyone when I told them I feel like they made the sale and that seems to be all they care about! Was hoping things would have worked out better but they did not, so just beware, they do NOT follow through on their word! There are many dealerships in this area, I'm beginning to see why folks travel to other places to buy vehicles, customer service is important and sadly, Mitchell GMC doesn't live up to their promises!

When we got there the first thing we told the salesman was we were in the market for a new or used vehicle in about 3 months or so. He asked me where I worked and I told him I worked at a cooking oil process facility and a printing company. I intentionally neglected to mention that I worked at a Toyota Mazda dealership for 3 years and my brother-in-law was also used car salesman for 15 years. I know the ins-and-outs of the used car business but I didn't want him to know that. First we took a new vehicle out for a test drive it was a Mitsubishi Outlander. And we told him that we were also interested in a Toyota RAV4. And he had a used one on the lot and we took it out for a test drive. That's when my wife decided that she liked the Toyota RAV4. So when we got back he asked us about our car that we had. It was a 2006 Ford Focus we've had since new. I told him it was approaching 100,000 miles and that's when he said "once a car hit 100,000 miles the value droppes dramatically". I was wondering what BS line he was going to give us to screw us out of money on a trade in. That line goes back to the mid-1990s. So we went test drove a new Toyota RAV4. And we eventually bought a 2015 RAV4 out of town. Low miles great price. I think people are sick and tired of the old ways of buying a vehicle and especially with the trade in BS they tell you so they won't give you much money on a trade in.

He was not forceful and was a big help in my purchase process and I appreciate his assistance. Every thing went well till I was handed off to the financial manager. The financial manager lied to be, saying that the bank required me to purchase Gap insurance. I advised him that I already had it with my insurance company and he said that would not work. They required me to purchase what they had to offer. Comparing the two policies, my savings with my insurance company would be about 300 for the life of the loan. The signing process went quick and no time to read, he did not even give me a copy of what I signed. Said that it would be a while for him to make copies. Made it sound like hours, and said they would send me copies. I got the paperwork today and read it. The Gap insurance page says that it is not required to get the loan from the bank. Called and talked with the bank and the guy laughed when I told him what the Financial Manger said. I called to discuss it, and the dealership said the lady who handles the cancelations works between 8-5. I do not like the fact that I was lied to and forced to purchase something that I did not need or want since I already pay for it at a much better rate. While the contract says it can be canceled within ten days, it is the fact that I was lied to. He took my positive experience and turned it into a bad experience. The salesman went out of his way to help, this guy should of had a can of Vaseline on his desk. I would buy from Daniel again, but I will not do so if this is the only guy who can sign the paperwork. A true used-car salesman mentality. If he is the only one who can close the deals, then I would say stay away. At least do not trust him.

I told them that is weird as the vehicle was NOT leaking oil and I would take them to my house where it's normally parked so they can see for themselves. They quoted me around $900 to "fix" it, but I declined. The next morning when my wife left to work with the vehicle, there was a massive oil stain where the vehicle stood for the night. I called the dealership, who told me to bring in the vehicle. THEN all of a sudden there was a substantial leak due to the pan being plastic, and it just worsened. They are claiming they did NOTHING wrong, it's the oil pan and want me to pay for what I believe they messed up. I also found out from someone else who also took a VW Jetta to service there, that they had the exact same issue there. Someone also took a VW Golf to be serviced there, same thing - from NO OIL leaks before the oil service, to sudden oil leak and damaged oil pan! How convenient, and what a way to make extra hundereds of Dollars off clients. This is a dealership that will screw you over and not flinch, by the looks of it. I have never dealt with such a pathetic service department in the past. I would NOT even take a wheelbarrow there for a tire-change after my experience. I tried to get the Service manager to drive (at my cost) to my house to then show me the oil leaks that should have been on my driveway (under the carport) IF the vehicle was leaking oil, as they suggest. He obviously denied my offer, because he knew they would then not have a leg to stand on.

2/2026 we took our Bronco in for service, tire rotations and oil change as it was time for service…read more We'd only been in San Angelo 3 weeks since moving from the Great Lakes, Michigan. I easily made the appointment online and received my email confirmation. The day of service was light rain and I used map quest to find the dealership. The young lady service advisor checked me in and I waited in the customer lounge. My wait time was normal compared to other dealership service centers across the country about 45 minutes. The service team members were all friendly and the lounge area nice and clean with a television, coffee, soda and snacks for your selection, pretty much the norm. After service they pulled my Bronco into the service garage and quickly got me checked out and on my way. A few miles away on my way home I was waiting to make a left turn onto Sherwood Way. The light turned green, my phone was ringing so I answered (yes hands free) and it was the young lady service advisor. She was in panic mode asking me to quickly come back because the service technician forgot to put the filter on and the wheel lock. Then I started to panic about not having an oil filter or wheel locks. Keep in mind I'm not a mechanic and I'm so thankful we have people who like that sorta thing, it's just not me. I quickly made a U-turn the first chance I got and returned to the service garage. I checked back in with the same service advisor and she was very apologetic and let the technician know I had returned. He quickly arrived with the AIR FILTER and wheel lock in hands and put them back on. Why he had the AIR FILTER I don't know because I didn't request an air filter replacement. Anyway, I was so relieved it wasn't the missing oil filter. We all get busy with work and life and we do forget things so I'm good with the outcome. Maybe they will offer me a complimentary air filter or something my next visit. Minus one star is better than minus 3 or 4 stars right? I received 2 emails from the dealership asking me to please review my recent visit so here it is.

Here is a bit of advice: When you say "no add-ons," read every line of the paperwork they put in front of you. I found dealership products included in the initial paperwork despite making my wishes clear. When you're told "zero down," check exactly how that number was reached and which rebates or incentives are being applied. If your new vehicle is being transferred from another dealership, ask beforehand whether it will be transported or driven. Better yet, ask for documentation of the mileage before and after the transfer. Mine was driven nearly 300 miles from Amarillo to San Angelo without that being disclosed to me beforehand. Most importantly, check the physical odometer against the Odometer Disclosure Statement before signing. My executed disclosure stated 15 miles. The dealership later confirmed the vehicle had approximately 332 miles when I took possession. I served this country for over a decade. I don't expect special treatment because of that. I do expect transparency and accuracy when I'm signing a major financial contract. Love the Kia. The buying experience is another story.

Thankfully, the rear light worked but it was blinking a million times a second which warned me that it was next to fail. The Customer Service Associate told me to come in after 1:30 p.m. and I was seen as soon as I arrived. I went to the Parts Department and was helped by a very pleasant Associate who gave me a "Military Discount" on the bulb I needed. What's more, Toyota DID NOT charge for the Labor of installing the bulb (Fist Pump! And Fist Pump Again!) I waited about 30 minutes in the Waiting Room after paying for my bulb, but was very happy to learn my vehicle was ready. She sounded irritated and as if I interrupted her - perhaps she was busy on her FB page - not sure - but very unfriendly! I then called the front desk/reception and again spoke to someone NOT TOO friendly, but also not rude. I asked to speak to the GM - was then told he was in a meeting. I asked WHO he was, to which she at first sounded reluctant to give his name - then after asking again - she said it was "Sean". I asked her to please ask him to call me - she said she would give him the message. Today is Friday, May 20th, and NO call has come from "Sean" - the GM! As a business owner for many years, I am amazed how businesses like this are still in business! Is it ONLY about selling new vehicles (but then) they even suck at that! I went to them over a year ago looking at trading my 2018 GMC with very low mileage, and buying a Toyota Tacoma (I ended up buying a BRAND NEW one from Brunner Toyota in Brownwood - which means they lost that deal) - I was told by the "salesman" that he cannot give me a price on my GMC and that he needs to speak to his manager and that they will get back to me! It has been over a year, and I still have not received that call! Bet you IF I ran my business like this, I would not be in business, let alone employ people who do not know HOW to speak to potential customers! I will now take my vehicle to Abilene to get serviced - yet another loss for this business! It seems that they THINK they are doing us a favor by "servicing" our vehicles - forgetting they are getting PAID to do it! Really, is this where we are heading as a society?
