Ladies beware. Predatory practices including bait and switch. Went to get a routine oil change. Got up charged for synthetic and didn't honor their own $7.00 off for being within 500 miles of the prescribed interval. Oil change tech lied and manager backed up the employee versus looking up my records and seeing that I've never used synthetic oil in this vehicle. Waited thirty minutes for the guy to start my car and he lied and said the car in front of me caused some extra work. There was no car in front of me in the oil change bay. Ended up taking the car early as it was taking way too long and I had y try o pick up my wife. Needless to say the quality was poor. I have seen an altercation between an employee and a staff member where they almost got into a fight because said manager would not let him clock in. Also this said manager doesn't clock people in when he says he will. Absolutely terrible service. Dropped off my car here into their disorganized, prone to accident parking lot, and should've known it was a bad idea then. I dropped off my car here and went to run some errands with my sister. Before driving back I called to see if the car was ready, and they said it was. However, upon arriving back to the business, the owner walked out and asked me where my car key was. Alarmed, I asked him how did you drive my car without the key? Just because a car is keyless does not mean it can drive without the key, it still needs to be nearby. They found the key UNDER THE CAR. On top of this, they had yet to dry the car. They do a decent job of cleaning the car, but the people working there seem so unhappy to be working there. When you bring your ticket to the counter inside they do not great you at all. They just take your ticket and do the transaction without saying anything to you. It just seems so strange that they do not talk to you at all. Previously when I got my oil changed here, the 40 year old guy was so frustrated with his younger co-workers were on their phones all of the time and would not do any work. Wonderful experience! Do not let the dated exterior fool you; under this unrefined facade lies a business ran by an Store Manager eager to please. There was not a moment while at Auto Brite that I did not see Jeremy smiling. Through multiple enthralled customers, the heat, and complaining employees, it seemed to merely phase him, all while attempting to provide the best customer service possible. During my experience I was also lucky enough to have a man named Derrick as my attendant, talk about a meticulous worker! Before I was able to identify a couple of areas that were missed by the automated conveyor-based car wash, Derrick lightly mentioned it and immediately took care of it, ensuring he notated it to immediately notify Jeremy. Wirhin my 1st 5-10 minutes of being here, I would have given a 2 star rating because: When you pull into the business there are no directional signs to get you to the wash entrance which is around back; there are 2 unmarked driveways to the back of the building. The place is managed & staffed by kids who offer no signs of welcome, appreciation for your patronage, or politeness. They do not explain the process for when you get out of your car; as they vacuum prior to wash. The detail space for after wash is non-existent. Observed employees mocking customers. Attendant swiped around with interior leather clean and since the interior is black, it was so obvious where the missed spots were. Today was third and last time. Didn't even vacuum the cargo section of SUV. Had to do it myself when I got home. So it's an SUV (four months old BTW) - it always has been and cargo section was always cleaned before. I'm a gardener so I carry lots of stuff back there and it needed a vacuum. Should have checked it before I left I guess. But still, not again. read more

WOW! So many bad reviews! I'm hoping it's because typically people only review when they get bad service and not when the service is good. I have been taking my car here for the full service wash since we moved here 12 years ago and I think they do a fine job. I only go a few times a year but I always have good service. They are usually quite busy so they must be doing something right! You can buy a coupon booklet and save money on each wash. They do have certain days a week that are cheaper and they offer senior discount once a week I think but check with them on the details for that. All in all, they do a good job washing my car and the folks are always pleasant to deal with. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Went on for a wash on 11/22/2017. They didn't remove my antenna before running my truck through the wash and broke it off. I didn't notice until i drove off(radio not working) and called within 5 minutes of driving away(11/22/2017). There wasn't a manager working so the girl on the phone took my number and said the manager would call me back to take care of this. Called again on Tuesday, 11/28/17, because no one had returned my call, and again, no manager was there. Called again on 12/1 and guess what? No Manager.....Still waiting for that call back from the manager that is apparently never there. The wash and detail itself was mediocre and took over an hour. Disgusting experience! I used to bring my three cars there for NC state annual inspection and noticed something weird. That every time I brought a car they always tell me that wiper blades must be changed in order to pass the inspection, even when it has been installed within the preceding months. This last time I ordered "Brand New" Michelin wiper blades, installed them and let them know that this was done the day before ( I even kept the receipts in the car). SO GUESS WHAT!, since they couldn't use the wiper blades excuse to over charge for the inspection, they said that my car windows were darker than the NC allowed 35%. I replied, that it was impossible as tints fade with the pass of time and it has been more than 10 years since installed. Moreover, that the car has passed the last 3 inspections in their business inspection station with no comments on that at all! Ridiculously, their answer was that they don't know why the last three inspectors/employees passed the car before. I ended up going to another place the same day and the car passed inspection flawlessly. I asked the second station, how much the tint percentage was and they said that it about 45% now; which is 10% clearer than the 35% minimum allowed by NC law. Long story short, this place manipulates the process to sell you unnecessary things and keep your car hostage until you either pay for a failed inspection or buy the crappy and overpriced products. Just look to their wipers in the sales booth and you will see how overpriced they are when compared with autopart stores and even Walmart. They rip you off! and you should be aware of it unless you are Ok with getting deceived for their gain. read more

I took my 2014 Chevy Sonic to them for a basic oil change. Which according to their menu board was approximately $39.00. When I went to pay for the service, the bill was $84.00!!! So I asked the cashier why and her answer was I don't know. Yep, I was a little pissed. So said that I wanted someone to explain how a 39.00 oil change became $84.00. So, someone claiming to be a manager came out and said that the there was an additional $34.00 "Upcharge" for synthetic oil and a $9.99 "Upcharge for the oil filter!!!! No one bothered to tell me any of that, and I told the manager so. His response was "well, its on the wall" This is unacceptable behavior and terrible customer service. If there are additional charges, your staff should be telling the customers what they are so they can decide if they want to use your service. I am completely dissatisfied and will never come back to your business again. In fact, I promise that I will do everything I can to discourage the people that I know, not to use your business. I was very disappointed in the service I received at Auto Brite in Morehead City. The outside of the car was clean, but the interior was done in a very poor manner. There was dirt still left all in the carpet and the interior surface did not hardly look like it had been wiped down. I complained to one of the employees and they sent my car back around th be cleaned again, but it still found dirt all in the carpet when I got home. Also, while I was waiting inside, I went up to the register to ask a question, and the girl just stood there and ignored me. Finally, another girl asked if she could help me.
