Was there getting my NC inspection. Another customer was…read moregetting an oil change. The manager came in and said the oil filter cap threads are cross threaded. He took ownership without any discussion - He called nearest dealer and sent a person to get the replacement cap. He didn't blame it on others - and I am guessing it was possibly damaged already by previous oil change. Haven't seen honesty at this level in many auto shops. They just earned my trust. And their employess know what they are doing (trained well) and they are courteous with customers.

He is an extremely knowledgeable mechanic and if you find the rare auto/issue that he doesn't know, he will research and give you all the options. He's not pushy, he'll tell you if/when you can safely "let it ride" for a while longer "it's risky to keep going, here's what could or likely will happen and here are your options." I always just ask him "what would you do if it was yours?" and so far his guidance has always been spot on. He generally always has a 5-day wait list, totally worth the wait.
