I hope that this is the right tow company... we had a flat tire on Saturday that required a tow to a VW dealership. Christian showed up and was so friendly and helpful it was unbelievable! After three hours of getting the run around by VW Roadside Assistance and the dealership in Corona, we were literally pulling our hair out. Christian hopped out of the truck, introduced himself and patiently listened to me have a mini melt down because of how frustrating the whole situation was. He did everything he could to get us to the Riverside VW dealership (because the dude in Corona was a jerk and wouldn't help us) before they closed so that we wouldn't be stranded. Arrived 40 minutes late. Auto Aide sent a text message when tow was accepted through our insurance carrier indicating they took "cash or major credit cards'. When they showed up 40 minutes late, the driver indicated he only accepted cash as his card reader wasn't working. Called the office twice to see if I could make a credit card payment over the phone and was informed I would get a call back after she checked with the driver. No return call was ever received. I placed an order with my insurance company for a tow providing all needed information and the driver towed the car without ANY NOTICE. The driver then arrived at the destination and calls his office questioning why I was not at the destination. The order stated no one was accompanying the car. Driver refused to return to my home to collect payment and threatened to take my car to impound if someone at the destination did not pay. 11:15 pm - Got a flat tire last night and couldn't get the lug nuts loose so I called USAA for Roadside Assistance. They dispatched Auto Aide Towing at 11:36 pm and the company said that they would be out to help me in 75-106 minutes. 12:12 am - I called Auto Aide Towing to get an update and the girl said that the driver was on his way to do a lockout and then he would be headed towards me and should be at my location in 45-60 minutes. 01:14 am - I called Auto Aide Towing to check the status of the driver and the girl answered the phone and hung up immediately. The driver never showed and I had to have USAA dispatch another company. If you're stranded and USAA dispatches this company, I strongly recommend that you have them send someone else because they probably won't show. Auto Aide- if you don't want to send the driver, then tell your customers to call someone else. Don't leave us hanging on the side of the road in the middle of the night. I was involved in an accident on the freeway on Thursday night. CHP called this tow company to come get my car and clear the freeway. I asked the driver if he was with my insurance company, he said "no I don't deal with them". I asked if we can meet him off the freeway with my insurance company so that my car can be towed to a repair shop that night, to which he responded "no I'm taking it to my yard, I need to get paid for my tow." He stated that all I need to do is send my insurance company to the tow yard Friday morning and they will release my car. Friday morning, my insurance company showed up, they refused to release my car. I called to authorize the release, and dealing with Robert was a joke. He said "I need a hand written notarized note from you dropped off here in order to release". I explained I work 12 hour shifts, I don't have time to go get something notarized, you have all my information, I don't get off until 7pm, I'm authorizing you to release my car, etc. to which he responded "we close at 5, so it looks like it'll be here until Monday because we are closed weekends." After trying to get my car released and being hung up on twice by Robert, I was not able to get it released. My car sat there over the weekend, and this scam of a company made a buck off my insurance. VERY poorly ran company. If they show up to tow your car, REFUSE them if you can. You'll get the run around. They do what they can to scam people and insurance companies to make their money. Awful place. Thieves! Front office staff are very rude minus one young guy. My car was towed because my apt complex doesn't allow for our cars to be backed in! My car broke down and was towed and placed in reverse. I had to get a new car as it was spent. Anyhow they wanted much more than it was worth at close to $300 per day. The first day towed was over $400. I decided I just wanted to get my belongings which was a lot. I came a week later and even gave them the key so it was easier for them. I couldn't lift the new tire that was in the backseat as I have a bum arm. I got a few items and the truck guy watched me carry everything to my car not even bothering to ask if I needed help. I came back today and the rude bald guy told me to come back in 45 mins. I went back an hour later after calling and he was extremely rude demanding to know what I wanted out of my car. I said the tire and a few items. He then kept asking so just the tire and where is it. I said mainly the tire and in the backseat. He didn't even take my ID and told me to go to the yard a block away as there was a tow guy there. When I arrived he had the gate closed and tire out. He refused to let me in to get anything else. Told me I could only come once, which was never told to me, and I could've taken the tire last week as it wasn't heavy! He doesn't know my physical issues (car totaled by semi causing lifelong ailments). He told me I couldn't come back for anything else as they only allow one time! They should state this! He stated it's extra man power! We actually stood 5 mins waiting for him to text the rude bald guy to see if he could let me back in! I would've taken less time than that to get the rest of my stuff! They know I have a lot of stuff so they just want to keep all they can because they know I can't afford over $3000 to get my car back! I needed a jump start and my insurance company set me up with these guys through roadside. I get a text message from the driver Chris saying that he was 35 minutes away even though the posted ETA was showing a wait time of about 1.5 hours, great! I waited the 35 minutes and no one showed so i kept waiting because things happen and we did have a longer ETA on the insurance app. I finally try texting the driver back after about an hour and 20 minutes and I didn't get a response. I tried calling the company and the calls went straight to voicemail. No one ever showed up. They never even communicated that they would not make it out and I had to wait hours for another towing company to come do the job. He called me, genuinely cared about my safety, gave good guidance and instructions, and provided an accurate ETA. I never thought I would ever see the day when I would find a towing company where the drivers have such awesome customer service! They are really helpful, friendly, funny(good sense of humor), and have really awesome personalities. Prices are really low as well. I've had some nightmare stories about other towing companies. Some wanted to charge me $250 to tow my car 2 miles. Some wanted $150 just to put air back in my tires. Tow truck drivers at other companies are usually very rude and sometimes even perverted. You won't get anything like that at Auto Aide Towing. The prices are low and the workers are fucking awesome. Even the dispatch guy had great customer service. I only trust this company in the IE. This company contracts through USAA roadside assistance. Auto Aide agreed to come and change my flat tire. After waiting about 20 minutes I called the number that was texted to me from USAA. I talked to Steve at Auto Aide, he was rude and less than helpful but I did as he suggested and I called USAA again. USAA called Auto Aide and confirmed they would be out to help me at the time quoted. At the ETA no one showed so I called USAA a third time that's when I found out that Auto Aide canceled. I asked the dispatcher David why the extended delay and was instructed the driver was stuck in traffic. I asked where he was and David stated why does that matter. I told him I wanted to now as I had already been waiting Nd hour and half and even revived a follow up call at 6:40 stating they would be there in 30 minutes. I was in a head on collision and my car was towed to Auto Aide. I called several times asking several questions regarding my vehicle. The police department notified me of the Sheridan St location has my vehicle. I drove 30 miles to Corona only to learn that my car is in Perris,Ca. Not Corona, Ca. As you can imagine being stuck in traffic desperate for your belongings after being laid up suffering from injuries. The last thing I want to do is sit in traffic. Only to drive back to my Neighbor Hood where the car is actually located. Very dissatisfied with the service I was given while a tow yard gets paid from the insurance I pay each month. When I got my car out every compartment was open. They stole 4 bottles of Colonge worth 1200, a firearm from my vehicle and cigars from my vehicle. When asked about the belongings the guy said nothing was on the inventory list so it didn't exist in the vehicle. So basically free for all once your cat is in their possession. The guys in the office assured me he was going to look at the tapes and see if anyone was in their yard to steal my belongings but that was a lie too. After reading the reviews even a past employee called these guys out on how they steal things out of people's vehicle. I think an investigation should be launched on these criminals because calling them a business would be considered fraudulent. Needed a tow after a flat tire. The guy driving the tow truck backed into the rear bumper cover. Never once said sorry about it and instead tried to make excuses. He refused to hand over any insurance info and instead gave me the number to his boss. I called several times the next couple days and it seems he was never there. When I finally did get a response he tried to convince me that filing a claim would lead to me having to salvage my vehicle and we could instead work something out at a later time. Never heard from him after that. Currently going through a claim against them and they are making it hard for my insurance agents to get a hold of any info on them. My dad and I were stranded on the 91 East off ramp off of Lincoln Avenue after one of the front wheels exploded. We had gotten help from a random tow truck who stopped to help us. After an hour of trying, the guy gave up because my dad's truck was too heavy and left. My dad called a towing company he found online who wanted to charge $150! I decided to look for towing companies on Yelp and I found Auto Aide. Dad called and they said it would be $60 so we definitely got them. It took about 30 minutes for Melissa to get here but she was amazing! Very friendly and great service! She was fast and efficient. She drove us to JustTires where a tire was waiting for us.
