When my headlight went out I could just picture getting pulled over for it. Fix-It tickets are the worst to deal with. When I walked in, there was a young man who immediately came over to greet me. I told him what I needed and he didn't even have to look it up, he walked me right over to where the part was and provided a cheaper option and a more expensive option and he explained what I was getting with each one so I could make an informed decision. When I asked him if he knew someone who could help install it, without hesitation he had me lead him to my car and he said he could do. He literally replaced the bulb in two minutes. At least after watching him I know where to look. I wish I had caught his name. He was really skinny and his front teeth were missing. If you see him in store, you will get great service. I would definitely come back here again and recommend my single lady friends to do the same.

I have never experienced that with a car repair shop before, much less a dealership. We have 3 VWs in our household, so I am in and out of the dealer fairly regularly to keep up with the oil changes, tires, and the occasional repair for each of the cars. Before Fowler opened in Norman, I avoided the OKC dealership at all costs because it was such an awful experience to go in for service. Fowler VW is the complete opposite. I have to shout out to my service advisor Brian Smith because he has come through for me many times when I didn't think it was possible. For instance, the time when I stopped to get gas on my way out of town for a road trip and noticed something was dripping out from under the engine. It was Saturday and I was maybe 10 minutes away from the dealer, so I crossed my fingers and called Brian. He treated me like I was his only customer and assured me he could have a technician look at it if I brought it in. When I got there I saw that they were pretty busy, but Brian arranged for a mechanic to take a look at the car quickly. When they found that the problem was serious, they put me in a loaner car for my trip. This is just one of many times that I have left Fowler feeling very relieved that Brian has come through for me and gone above and beyond. Another example relates to the service manager, Rob. I wanted to upgrade the transmission computer in my car because I didn't like the way it shifted. There wasn't anything mechanically wrong with it, I just wanted it to be different. I'd heard that Fowler VW could perform a transmission computer upgrade service, but that it was almost $600 for my particular car. I couldn't find a definitive answer online as to whether the upgrade would do what I wanted it to do (some people said yes, some people said no), so I called and talked to Rob in service. I described what I wanted and asked if he thought I'd be happy with the upgrade. Rob said that they could perform the upgrade but he wasn't sure it would do what I wanted. He offered to get in touch with someone he knew who had paid for the upgrade on their car for another reason, test drive their car to see if the shifting changed the way I wanted, and report back to me. A few days later, Rob called back and I expected he'd say, "bring it in, and don't forget your credit card!" Instead, he said he wasn't sure he recommended the upgrade for me because while the shifting was more sporty, it didn't really change the particular behavior that I wanted to change. I was shocked, because 1) at other dealers no one seemed to follow through when they say they'd do something like call you back with information, and 2) I sometimes felt like other dealers didn't care about anything except making a dollar, however they could. Here was the service manager turning down an expensive repair because he didn't want me to be dissatisfied. While I hope my cars never break down again, when something does inevitably wear out or break, I'll be calling Brian at Fowler because he and Rob have made a loyal customer out of me by providing great service!
